+Zachary Windsor Having graduated from Major League Umpire school in a previous life I can tell you they have neither, it's all about positioning. The late John McSherry told us that if you set up at the correct angle, you can make the correct call from 90 feet away, if you have the incorrect angle, you can be 15 feet away and completely blow the call. That is why robots will never work and why even slow motion can be deceptive. It's all about setting up at a 90* angle to the throw.
+George Jetson I don't think you've been paying much attention to that. with the new "box" graphic that the TV has you are finding that they are much more consistent on Balls and strikes than they used to be. Most fans don't realize that the strike zone is actually three dimensional, not two dimensional, which adds to the difficulty.
There’s a very well made informative CZcams video just about this topic called “What Bad Umpiring Looks Like” by Baseball Bits and how accurate Umpires have been when it comes to Balls and Strikes over the years. I know these replies are old but I just wanted to make this comment so other people can see it because it’s true, the strike IS actually three dimensional and this videos goes in depth on the topic

This is easily the most underrated channel out there. Only 16k subs? Thats absolute bullshit for all the work this guy probably puts into finding these videos and editing
I love plays like these, but these are always the hardest plays for the umps, you really have to have a good eye to see these and it is always tough after you make the call. A lot of times people just assume that because the ball got there before the runner, the runner is out, but a lot of times the fielder doesn't make a good tag, the runner slides under it or they come up with innovative slides
Wow, this channel is awesome! Awesome videos and we can actually hear the noise of the crowd, and their reactions. So glad you don't have music on these videos, it would ruin them so much! Keep up the great videos man! You've earned yourself a sub!
Gostei do video, de verdade! Não para de fazer, com o tempo a gente aprende um monte de coisa novas e evolui muito... parabéns pelo trabalho, até mais!
you're missing Rizzo's slide into third from last year (or 2 years ago. not exactly sure). That one was pretty awesome as well. And talking about Cubs players, Baez had a swim move slide into 2nd on a steal, similar to Trout's, yesterday ;)
Amazing plays... Two questions on 2 of those plays... On Hamilton's bunt, perfect, he avoided the tag, however in the slide he missed contact with the base while the first baseban is touching it. I'm not sure, but that is an out, right?... And I also would like to know (By rule, of course), What's the criteria (if there is any) to go around over the running line? (Hamilton invading infield, Aoki avoiding Turner's tag, Harrison invading infield)... Thanks...
if anything else this is an example of some fantastic umpiring
+Tanner Rienbolt They must have 10/10 vision and extreme concentration.

you are so right man
Brad Miller so cringey
Brad Miller are you the mlb Brad miller
This video makes you realize how good the umps are 97 percent of the time.
+Alexander Clark Except for balls and strikes, sure.

@@bradmiller9121 my entire life I thought it was two dimensional

BronxBomber42 keep up the good work
Love your vids!
BronxBomber42 you are so cool
And this is why they teach you not to swipe the tag.
Josh Harrison is hands down the most artistic base stealer in the MLB today.
***** that wears gigantic pants
Smooth maneuver George Vancouve
Daniel McCarr You would have made a great hyme, but you forgot the r.
+drServitis I see what you did thee.
denelson83
You esponse is gatifying!
That Mercedes analogy was pitiful
Mercedes TOTALLY isn't one of their sponsors and that analogy DEFINITELY wasn't a way of shoehorning a sponsor in.
Guys you’re acting like an E300. You have to just be like an SLS 550 AMG and chill a bit.

Blake Schmitt a lot more now lmao
2:36 "Smooth Maneuver George Vancouver"
either way
Josh Harrison: King of tag evasions
Some of these you can see the maneuver /dodge, but some of these look like they're totally out, then when you slow it down, it's like...
MindBlown
That "OH AND HE MISSED IT! How in the world did that happen?!" Is on MLB 15 The Show XD

Man., I do. I enjoy those plays so much," If your stressed, Watch this short U-tubes baseball videos," Give me more," yessss👏👍
Ryan Howard avoiding the tag for the Phillies at a Mets home game 😂 🙌🏻 And no one is better than Jimmy Rollins. Will ALWAYS miss my J-Roll ❤️

If you look close at the first one he tagged 66 left hand but it was quick and he pulled it back and touch with his right
"Is there anything in the world that trout can't do?" … win a ring
For real lmfao
What about josh Harrison getting out of two rundown from last year against the Mets and Rockies
Ya
Yes
Owen Gonzalez Hi Owen.. You deserve a house, for free.
I love your baseball/blitzball channel
I love that in almost every compilation like this (which I love btw) people never put in the numerous Javy swim moves
This is awesome
I love doing this in games and watching kids yell at the ump about the call
I love this it's awesome
those are great calls by the umps. very confident without the benefit of replays.
"smooth manoeuver George Vancouver" is my new favourite saying
The 3rd and the last one are the best.
I loved that vid
i love the composure of the defensive players whenthe call doesn't go their way. Can you imagine these calls in Primiership Footy?
That Hamilton juke...good god, I can't even think of too many running backs who can pull that off!
The hamilton play is in the soundtrack of MLB the show 15. I had not seen the video in a while
1:41 Damn, that's some straight-up ninja shit.
Man they’re good at their jobs. It’s like they got slow motion installed in their heads.
nice job mate
great calls
in Pittsburgh my friends and I call it ''pulling a jay hay" and I've pulled it of 3 times before
Awesome video sliding hurts if you do it wrong or bad
@doctor Bnasty sometimes it's mostly if you slide the right way because if u mess up it hurts
Hi there, I really love it cycle grubby
Man they are good
MAKE MORE OF THESE
The Alex Morgan Tampax Ad thoooo
Billy Hamilton does it best.
It's a shame the Reds traded him
Only thing he can do is run, he can't field or hit,
Harrison (on Pittsburgh ) is a beast.
i did it once when i actually played baseball it felt amazing
Some good umps
I'm from England and dont understand the rules of baseball but this was brilliant to watch.
some of these umpires are impressive, being able to see such close calls and call them correctly, in full speed. no replay
3:20 Ryan Howaaaarrrrddd
Well I'm your 100,000 subscriber
Smooth maneuver George Vancouver
Good video
greatest jukes of all time
I love watching josh Harrison get out of pickles
I was your 100,ooo sub
5:33 The first base umpire signalled safe before he even touched the bag lol.
Jivan Scarano that mechanic also means "no tag"
that was awesome'''

Yan Gomes had a great one for the Indians against the Astros in the first series of this year

Love how it's all Cubs games.
I love baseball
I Love Trout
2:06 me if that was me: YEET
You should do a montage of Stat Cast
I spun around the catcher in little league once. Everyone was confused as to what had just happened.
I remember when some kid broke my ankles and tagged home against me. 😂😂😂
Shit the Reds vs the Pirates one with the bunt to first base was fantastic awesome!
I was right there on the first base line when Billy Hamilton got on base at 1:53.
Kris Hammer I know. I was at the game too, and I saw you there.
I got a baseball ad lol
Cool
