This movie was a HUGE step forward in the right direction from that last bs. Yeah there was some cheesy scenes but for the most part, the badassery finally came back to the series
If it bleeds we can kill it.
the only real issue I had with it, was how she killed the predator at the end, and the one scene fore shadowing how she done it.
Basically stating that the predator forgot how it's own weapons work. Apart from that it was a good film.

My favorite scene was the scene where the Predator was surrounded by colonizers and said "It's Predin' Time" then totally Preded those guys. It gave me complete chills.

I want future Predator movies to explain everything in the comics,like hunting on Xenomorph Prime,female predators,and maybe even the evolution of the technology in his bio mask,and plasma caster.
Facts start talking about the tribes and so on
YES and I want to see more of some social structure as well. Not everyone goes off on hunts - someone is governing; manufacturing the tech; making the armor; doing necessary things on the homeworld etc.

I think they should make one with Aztec and youtja home world connection. An origin story about how it all began and evolve the story for there.
The only other time there was a show of strength was the first avp, I loved when he pressed the bear over his head.

"Prey" is probably the best Predator movie within the franchise. They did it right this time.. The fierceness of the Comanche warriors has seriously been underestimated by most of these social media critics. Definitely worth the watch!

@@cetus835 it could never be as good as the original. I doubt he was claiming it was. But the best sequel? Easily. Haven’t seen a single bad review or complaint so far. Everything we wanted from a predator sequel. Nostalgia aside, yes I love predator 2, and yes I love predators even, but did they have their problems? Yes. This movie is an extremely welcome addition, and it hits so much better too knowing how abysmal The Predator was.

And I won't trust reviews from a sample size of people who were part of a private screening, because people who get to participate in that are "yes" fans and reviewers/reporters with access, who will never speak bad of a film for fear of losing their access.
I highly doubt a movie like this, made in times like this, where cinema has been in the decline is as perfect as every reviewer seems to be saying. You don't think it's weird that no one who has early access has anything bad to say about it? Let's get real, the only time that happens is exactly for the reasons stated. I will trust public reviews and reviewers whom I know wouldn't bend over for access or money.

Something that might be missed from the trailer is the Predator kills the bear but ignores her. As in the first predator movie, and a bit of the second, some Yautja ignore female or non combatant prey, which means her being spared could've been because of it considering her a "non combatant" or something like that. Which would be a cool detail if that's actually what the writer and director had in mind.
Well the predator definitely saw the bear as a superior threat as she’s running away from it, the pred was probably that bear would be a good trophy

Predators don't kill women unless they are a direct threat. It's the same idea as human not killing female dear. Reproduction.
Good theories. Mine is the predator saw her as- and this has been shown in previous movies-- predators tend to arrive at scenes where people are fighting, killing, or hunting faster than news reporters. I think he at least saw the bear chase her and decided not to harm her because she didn't pose him a threat in that crumpled up position. (The predator also would've killed that bear earlier if that was what he was hunting.) I believe the irony will be that the same girl he overlooked will be the one who kills him at the end. The movie will make a greater impression on the audience that way and will also make people eager to see a sequel which I believe-- after the teaser after this movie's credits-- is sure to follow. That's my theory but I guess we all have to wait to see this movie first.
This movie is good. I don't know wth some people hate it for. This is perfect. You can show a younger version of "Grey Back" The Elder Yautja from predator 2 that gave Harrigan the pistol from the 1700's in the sequel to Prey. We still didn't see how he aquired it to give it to Harrigan.

I want to see the Predator nerds that developed faster then light travel, cloaking and plasma weapons. You know these big game hunters weren't the brains developing this stuff.

The Predator tv show series should take place on the predator home planet. The race and culture of the alien warriors is fascinating. Second, don't even introduce humans or english language until season 2. I can deal with subtitles, and so can a lot of people if Narco's was a huge hit with American audiences. The Wayland group and the Xenomorph aliens should play some role as the antagonists. Once you get into the seasons, each season should get a new cast, a new timeline and a new theme of the hunt. Also, I would like to see the story of the first human accepted into a Yautja clan.

I really hope they stick with this style and do predators in different time periods. I want to see them in feudal Japan fighting samurai. Or fighting knights Like in predator dark ages the fan made that's actually really solid.

The final fight was a major let down but overall the movie was far better than anything in recent history. P2 was still better to me. City hunter was far more frightening and capable than the Feral hunter

well there's a lot I don't know, will do a more detailed release when we have more info...but the director mentioned a lot...I think this Yautja is a female but wont know till I see it
@@ViralKiller the Feral Pred is a he...confirmed by the Director...and he doesn't have a plasma-caster (he got some sort of Blaster but it doesn't shoot plasma) also statet by the Director...the mask(stand now bone probably no biomask) looks like it's from another Predator... that indicates he could be a bad-blood!
@@alexbenedikt Honestly, I am kinda sick of only seeing male yautja. We need a Predator film that at the very least shows a female yautja among other yautja. And I'm not talking about the dark horse comics female yautja that look pretty much exactly like the males. I'm talking predator hunting grounds and novel descriptions. A feminine physique. Something beautiful yet formidable. Shake up the formula, stop showing us the same thing. The franchise needs new concepts to avoid becoming stagnant.
Don't just stop at females, have an entire film dedicated to the yautja species. Show us their society, their home world of yautja prime. What other creatures exist with them? Maybe do a tv show instead of another movie. What do they do when they aren't hunting? Do they have art and literature? Something new. Something we haven't seen before. That being said, I am looking forward to Prey because it is doing something different. It takes place in the past, the yautja isn't exactly what we know, it is not as advanced as we are used to. They are daring to do something different and I do hope that it pays off.

I would like a back story on the elder predator from the second film, because he’s been hunting for a while I don’t remember what year the gun was made that it gives Danny glovers character, but it was extremely old, I would like to see how he got the pistol or who the pred hunted for it

this actually is the basis of a fan film I saw once, set in the Pacific during wwII, american soldiers encounter one on a Japanese occupied island.
People who hate this Predator's design are forgetting that this movie takes place far in the past. Which during this time The Predator's Tech was less advanced, Let alone being a sub - species of The Classic Predator Species. Also we forget that this Particular Predator is a juvenile, Which is his first time hunting on Earth. This explains why he has a very overconfident & cocky behavior. He still has a Honer Code he needs to follow, But it seems throughout his hunting adventure he tends to dishonor his clan bit by bit. There are two possible reasons why he cloaked himself when fighting Naru's brother taabe. Either he cheated or He realizes he's taking too much damage and needs to get the hell outta there to avoid certain death. Due to the Feral Predator being inexperienced, This explains why Naru is able to defeat him. If he was an experienced hunter, Naru sure would have lost.
Also! people say naru should not be able to stand a chance against a Predator. Uhh... Can we say the same thing for Dutch too? Clearly he's no match for a Predator either even though he's a experienced soldier & A big strong man.
Or is there really a big difference between Naru & Dutch?

A small, strong female character, with an Intersectional feminist struggle, going against the traditions of her nomadic tribe in a hunter-gather society of the time period this is taking place taking down a Yautja because she can? This movie's gonna suck hard.

Need another prequel before this one later on maybe the picts or Gauls &/or as a matter of fact a people that mysteriously disappeared! Honestly, the idea for ‘’The Zoo’’ is a great idea! They might be old but i’d still watch that! Especially if its means the return of Dutch.
One must also consider another matter on regards of how this new predator looks. For instance this could be before generations of Yautja performing something like selective breeding or the blending of their DNA with that of the strongest kills. So this predator might be how the Yautja looked in truth when they had not started using technology to enhance not only their weapons but also themselves.

May blood pave my way home is the best story in that book imo, the crazy irish guy uses a motorcycle & spear like a horse in a medieval Joust during a 1 vs 1 fight. !! I loved every bit of that short story, especially that the 1 human Buffalo soldier did so well in his 1 vs 1 against the Predator the Predator/Yautja asked him to join them! Lol i usually wouldn’t like a human being able to do what he did… But if you hear the story it makes sense. Foreshadowed it early in the short story when he pounced on the big Yautja and smashed its head with a rock lol.

The fact that they are showing so much of the Predator is a massive red flag. Only movies that are shit show the "monster" in their trailers. Dont believe me, pick any good monster movie. I'm glad they didn't make a movie on ships that would have been stupid, but they should have made a sequel to Predators with Adrien Brody because in the comics he was supposed to get the Predator killer suit and become the top predator on that planet while they sent others there to test him

Everyone sound like a debbie-downer. Ya Disney suck, and I'm tired of all the strong female roles, but I'm excited for this. Prey has potential. Hopefully I don't have to eat my words, but eventually Disney will learn, or accidentally put out some good content. At very least, I'm happy they didn't scrap the whole franchise all together. I'm all in for this one.
One gripe about these films is they always battle with the predator, exchanging hits….
The predator is strong enough to military press a thousand pound grizzly bear and with sheer brute force,he’s able to shove his shield through solid rock like its clay… a blow from him to a small girl or a slam like when he picked her up over his head and dropped her on her back would definitely broke her and killed her

Dan already said this predator was not going to have a plasma caster. My guess is he’ll have some sort of burner: yautja gun. It’s a bit more primitive than the caster.
I want one set in the Viking era a viking warrior and his raiders sacked an Anglo-Saxon town and the Predator decided to stalk them because they are good sport. And the showdown between the two would be retold as the Saga of Grendel and Beowulf.

The Yautja are a slave race. They were ruled over by a much more advanced race for thousands of years. They were also genetically modified so PREY could just be another genetically modified variant.
