Having moved from Pascal to C and C++ and then back to Pascal and back to C++ .... I have such admiration for Niklaus Wirth. My years using Pascal were some of the most productive and happy of my career.
So grateful for starting my programming endeavor with Pascal. It left a permanent footprint on my future carrier. It was, is and will be the number one programming language for learning computer programming.

Funny, at position 0:18 the video states "Prof. Niklaus Wirth 1884 Turing Award Recipient"; didn't think he's that old ;-) Interesting interview with a lot of insights anyway.
I expect not. Anyone with a decent foundation in computer science, as I have, who studied computer languages in a computer science program, as I did, should not think C++ is very good.
