@shahoney Both pas de deux with Manu and Aurelie (with black one from Lady of the camellias) are adittions to the documental film about Dupont - L'espace d'un instant. You cannot buy the whole performance. When it comes to interpretations of Parc on DVD there is just one but really exquisite - with divine Laurent Hilaire and Isabelle Guerin. Really worth to recommend, especially if you haven't seen it yet.
I just saw this interpreted by Nadja Sadakova and Vladimir Malakhov at Lincoln Center. It was thoroughly beguiling. Their chemistry was amazing and the styling was more modern than this. She was in a white button up men's shirt and California blond curls so she looked very sexy and his costume was similar to this minus the frills. Im used to a more traditional ballet so this was a revelation. I love how she is the aggressor and how they are on much more equal terms than in ballet from times past

Massimo Mandolini Pesaresi, the pianist performing this is the great Vladimir Ashkenazy and has delivered I think the best version of this hole Concerto
No one is required to like this and it’s only your problem if you don’t understand story told in Le parc. Real art isn’t just about showing beauty and happiness but also other, not necessarily pleasant feelings. But you’re right, no one expect a shallow mind can understand that all - as well gestures, which mean a lot. Pretentious is only your comment, someone who know culture contexts can clearly see connections between Le Parc and french literature, “Dangerous liaisons” for example.
Fascinating. I can understand the heated disagreements on here because this isn't your standard pas de deux, is it? I, for one, found it sensual and compelling. Liked the helicopter move a lot (guessing that's not the ballet term).
