I cried for awhile to learn what happened to her. I've found a thrown away puppy here in México who's now been with me for a year and a half. He's my mate and my life now revolves around his happiness. That's just the way some of us are... I love your videos. Your souls shine through. Thank you for being so non sensationalist. This hit me so hard. My dog I loved so much died when I was 16 she got hit by a car. The front door was accidentally left open. It left me shocked for years and still does. I remember finding her on the road and tried to bring her back to life even though it was useless. Miss her so much!!!

you know, my wife and i have accidentally got up to 27 dogs before. its hard losing them. my number one dog that i loved the most ran away one time in heat and it about killed me. she stayed gone for three days and finally came back pregnant of course. alas, other comments about the video from me. i love how you spoke gently while narrating this. your wifes eyes are magical. you both look super healthy and intelligent and i believe you are good people. its hard to find good people, at least where we are in rural mississippi. yall make us want to travel.....yall make us want to live

Hey Josh, we actually did end up going to Guyana, it was the best way for us to fly out of South America through Georgetown. In fact, we were taken care of by some extremely kind and generous people while we sorted out leaving the continent. We owe it to them for distracting us from what had happened for a few weeks... We have some video content from our time with them, but not really overlanding, so we're figuring out how to work it in especially with how things went here.
So sad for your loss, we know how it feels, we have dogs too and they're such wonderful pets, one died a few months ago and we're still thinking of her, the two remaining ones are still going, hope they live a long life...
Losing a pet can be like losing a child and is simply an awful experience. You are brave souls wandering into the lawless regions of S. America where life can be cheap and most heartaches expensive. Nicely produced video.

Was in the Colombian Amazon a few months ago...Macedonia. We travelled by motor canoes...this guys narrative is pretty good. Floating around in the river after a long hike was the best. When it rains, there's so much foliage between the top of the canopy and you that it takes a few minutes for the drops to hit you. Great video.

Truly shocked at the abrupt ending and such a sad loss, i was almost tearful seeing the end pics of the family member, because no doubt , it was family. Truly happy to find such quality post.

Hey Josh, we actually did end up going to Guyana, it was the best way for us to fly out of South America through Georgetown. In fact, we were taken care of by some extremely kind and generous people while we sorted out leaving the continent. We owe it to them for distracting us from what had happened for a few weeks... We have some video content from our time with them, but not really overlanding, so we're figuring out how to work it in especially with how things went here.
So sad for your loss, we know how it feels, we have dogs too and they're such wonderful pets, one died a few months ago and we're still thinking of her, the two remaining ones are still going, hope they live a long life...
Losing a pet can be like losing a child and is simply an awful experience. You are brave souls wandering into the lawless regions of S. America where life can be cheap and most heartaches expensive. Nicely produced video.

Wow, what a tragedy. I have been watching your videos for many months, but could not fathom how your adventure in South America would end. I wish I didn't watch it to the end late last night; I had a hard time sleeping, but I know your pain is much worse. So sorry. Life is fragile, and you are doing the right thing by living life the right way.

i was watching this video and was totally sad at seeing your lost what a lot of people who dont have pet dogs understand is just how great an atachment we have with these totaly adorable creature ive lost a few in my time and whenever i look at their photos i still get sad

Sorry to hear about Cuenca!! I have lost dogs in my past. The one that hurt the most was the one that I don't know what happened. We can only pray that they're in a better place and are with someone who love them as much as we did!

Was in the Colombian Amazon a few months ago...Macedonia. We travelled by motor canoes...this guys narrative is pretty good. Floating around in the river after a long hike was the best.
When it rains, there's so much foliage between the top of the canopy and you that it takes a few minutes for the drops to hit you.
