I grew up in the 80s collecting comic books and the Mcfarlane era of amazing spiderman is by far my most memorable time collecting. His artistry made comics super enjoyable to read.
Also, this list was straight fire. Clear, concise, on fucking point! That's how it's done!
"Spider-man, venom, CARNAGE"- Todd have never drawn any Carnage comic :) But yeah he started this whole symbiote madness.

Love all your videos even though this is 2 years old. I'm surprised Spider-Man Torment Diamond Distributor's Edition TPB didn't make this list. A signed 9.6 sells for about $13-1500. There aren't any signed 9.8 and only 2 9.8 Blue Labels! Only 22 total graded and limited to only 700 TOTAL!
I’ve seen a lot of covers and his Hulk 340 cover is one of the best. Of course if you want to gaze upon the master you need to look at Steranko. His covers and double page panels are unmatched
Love your videos! Just wanted to me mention you forgot the Spawn 189 sketch cover & 227 sketch! Those are both worth about $1000 each or more!

I pulled comics for Diamond in the 80s
Remembering the day ASM 300 came in at Bud Plant in Denver all the issues of ASM 300 were done being pulled to go out to the Shops when a fellow worker had a double cover and he removed the first cover and gave it to his friend so he would at least have a cover of #300. Nice guy. Anyway great job on your channel!

Cool I have a few of these... I found hulk 340 at a milk bar about a year after its release...still blows my mind how easily I got some really collectible stuff.
Everybody talking about that intro but is nobody gonna talk about how Gem made me thing I had a phantom in my kitchen in the end. Made me question my sanity for a hot second.

Very cool list and video sir I very much appreciate it. I've been a fan of Todd's artwork for awhile I'm Peter from Hamilton Ontario Canada and 47 years old and went nuts when the first spawn book and toys came out lol
@Gem Mint Clectibles ~What about the newsstand edition of Spider-Man #16? Its Todd's last issue before going off to co-found Image and create Spawn. To my knowledge, its the only time he ever drew X-Force or Juggernaut.

I would have included the G.I. Joe Special (The Death of Cobra Commander) instead of ASM 301 since the Special is rare even raw, but this is a good list overall.

I actually have no.5, the grayscale Spawn#1. The only thing is that, it has not been graded or sent to CGC but it is still in great condition.

I love comic books, BUT I'll be honest.... I subscribed because of the BTNH shirt! I've been a HUGE life long fan of them. They are my favorite musical artist of all time. I did my senior project on their career. Great video, man!

I feel like you should have included ALL STAR SQUADRON #47 (origin of Dr. Fate, drawn by and cover by Todd) Should have been on the list, as it's VERY hard to find in Mint or even Near mint, and it does have Todd's early work re-telling the Origin of a popular golden age hero. Also, it has a HTF canadian price variant.

There is a Gold Foil cover variant going for 1500. Exclusive to comic con 2019. Only 50 sold per day for four days. That book was Spawn 300... Gold Foil edition
I was a huge McFarlane fanatic in the late 80s early 90s I bought everything he did until around 1994. You can tell especially in his earlier work he was heavily influenced by John Byrne, another master! All my era of comic buying. None of mine are slabbed either. 😉

I remember around 2008-2011 i was selling quite a few books on ebay, i remember selling a hulk 330 cgc 9.8 for $300, a batman 423 cgc 9.8 for $45-60, that chrome spiderman reprint of spidey 300 i remember buying for $2 at the comic shop as they have $2 bin, got cgc 9.8 and sold for about $500. I only knew that book was worth money was by checking ebay auctions, i could not believe it
Before Malibu Sun #13, Rust #1 had the first appearance of Spawn in a two page centerfold in the comic, look it up. Totally undervalued and super rare book.

Amazing to see that at one point, some of these keys were only a dollar, and now, many worth a grand or more.
I just got my spiderman torment # platinum back from CGC and it came back 9.8!🙌🏽🙌🏽 I paid $300 for it and I'm so happy I invested in it
The problem with the remaster covers is that they aren't paying Todd for those covers. In the Venom fb group, Todd talked to the group about it. He is a little salty that he isn't getting paid but he finds it funny that they have to use his art to sell their books.

I got spawn #1 in basically brand new condition. I might CGC grade it, I never thought it was worth it before
I know what you mean but Spider-Man #1 actually was a ratio incentive variant. IIRC if you preordered 200 copies of Spider-Man #1 you too could have a copy of the Platinum edition. For Superman #75 it was around 300.
