      I actually started to watch it, now I'm certain there's an agenda against the show... I don't know why, but I can't help but wonder if it's for the obvious reason, or if this is more culture war bullshit... Because the show is a great Star Wars show... One of the better ones by far... And it's by no means bad... Especially not to the extent youtubers pretend it is...
      But hate views make more money and it's popular to hate on star wars and get no backlash... But at some point we have to think for ourselves and not be sheep driven by online rhetoric, and reviewers need to have some sort of integrity, especially when they have admitted there's a great temptation to rip shows apart because of how much more money they make when they do that

      @iloveeveryone8611 Před 2 dny

      @@cruzanassassin I think the first two are decent, but wow. These past episodes are bad. It is good for a star wars show? Eh. It's slightly below mid because the last shows sucked. The writing is horrendous and the pacing is awkward. It really isn't good, but the hate does seem disproportionate

    • @cruzanassassin
      @cruzanassassin Před 2 dny

      @@iloveeveryone8611 ppl were blasting the first episode... It's not as if when the show dropped we were as far into the season as we are now... And let's be honest... The original trilogy isn't good... This show is exactly like the original trilogy in terms of writing... Ppl pretend the OGs were these marvels of cinema... If they came out today they would absolutely be trashed... And that's what's confusing to Disney because they hear ppl say they want star wars to be like it was 50 years ago, yet when they DO make them that way, they get bashed... But when they do something like Andor that's nothing like Star Wars, it gets praise, yet nobody watched it because the viewership was low... So something isn't adding up

    Yeah I don't know why it didn't hit me sooner, but in the beginning of the episode it finally clicked when he talke about tracking for the master, and that he's been here before. I"m like if this forest is as danger as it was built up to be, and as it was "shown." Then ain't no way Qimir did this on his own. Then i followed that line of thought. He's been the one handing out the info, is there when Mae needs him, and seems to be handing out advise that she would need to hear.
    Kind of like how a Jedi Master might if they were giving their Padawan More leeway on a mission to lead it. yeah at any time he could step in, but if he does, then she won't learn anything. And what is the old saying? "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he doesn't exist. What is the best cover for someone so powerful that they are as feared as "the Master" is? A sniveling lil side kick. After all Palpatine, disquised himself as a politician and only a very select few ever knew who he truly was until it was too late.
    Going off to get water? that is when he killed the Jedi. Because he could tell that she had lost her nerve. So a new lesson needs to be taught.
    As for Osha turning this over to the Jedi. I give the props literally never seen that happen in a story. Every other time it is the Sister fighting to go with the group. Begging them to just let her talk to Mae. maybe even being told no, its too dangerous and she has to stow away on the Jedi's ship, and they don't find her till the land. Well now its too late to turn back.
    But that is far as my props go, because the usual way is the better story. Family doesn't give up on family. Not until the dark one is revealed to be so corrupt that the family member you thought you knew is now figuratively dead.
    Then there is the sudden face turn of Mae. Its un earned. There should of been a flash back of her remembering a good time. We should see Mae on the trip in struggling with her mission. Her sister is alive, I was doing this because I thought she was dead... but if I dont' finish this. Then I may be as good as dead. Maybe have Qimir pushing her a little more to complete her mission. Then as she sits down to rest. Remembers that lil matra that they had. Maybe she says it to herself. And Osha senses it, and finishes her part of it. The Osha realizes Mae is here, as Mae realizes the same.
    Mae looks off screen. "if he owes the Master so much, Qimir won't let walk away." She sighs and looks down and you see the rope., and swipe to the jedi. Osha tells sol that Mae is here for sure, and she is close. this brings up the urgency.
    I don't like Sol just killing the animal/insect. Most Jedi Masters would of tried to scare the thing off, and then if left with no choice they would kill it. Here they just had Sol speak an almost anime line, and then kills it. That literally is not the Jedi way.
    Then we finally get a Wookie Jedi on screen, and we never get to see him fight, barely get to see him on screen and you kill him offscreen? WTF, not only is that poor writing, its a wasted opportunity. At least have him walk out draw his saber, you do critter cam thing where something charges at him, he roars a could blocks. Its gone. a new camera angle. again the charge but this time he is wounded. He struggles to stand up. A new camera Angle and it charges in and this time the Kennaca rares, but then there is silence, Camera angle is looking up at the sky within the Forest, the roar echoes through out the forest, and then there is another wipe/transition back to the jedi. That whole scene is Maybe a Minute long. And that is more stratifying than what we got.

      This is actually what I was expecting when the show got announced. We follow a young Sith acolyte working in the shadows, evading Jedi, and setting things in motion for the imminent culmination of their plans. It would have been a very interesting addition to the lore.

      For some reason lets try to make this a mystery removing tons of payoffs?

    It’s cathartic to hear someone else talk about Star Wars and share my sadness that it is d3ad.

    Jeremy, I like your reviews and how you take the time to go through the actual narrative plot holes and bad writing.
