Uoft, Sacred heart University, University of Michigan, DePaul University, University of San Francisco, University of Portland, SeattleU, Cal State LA, Cal State Long Beach, Cal State Fullerton. I grew up in the US but Im originally french Canadian so im a dual citizen. If I had done more research on canadian unis, I would have applied to Western, Queens and Uottowa, but Im very happy I got into Uoft.

I applied to U of T in the fall and got in. I wasnât asked for extracurriculars or essays, they just wanted my transcripts. Maybe thats bc I applied to Life Science, but not all programmes at UofT require u to write essays or extracurriulars
Thats so cool! U of T life science is my goal!! Im a grade 11 student in Ontario and my average is around 98.5. Do you think I could get in?? Its just that I havent done any extracurriculars

aha I got an acceptance letter from UofT for a science program a few years back but I declined it because of the ridiculously high tuition. Maybe I will go back for grad school.

Iâm an a-level student in the UK studying Math, Physics and Chemistry and Iâm really interested in the engineering courses that Toronto offers, Iâve been wishing for a big change in scenery and Iâve always loved Canada as a country, it would be fantastic if I could get in and Iâd definitely be willing to put in the effort to learn and graduate! I got into UofT with an 82% average. I graduated in 2007. I found UofT to be easier than high school. My marks were a lot higher and I even got the highest marks in my program in 3rd year. No one cares that I went to UofT. If anything I get asked why Iâd want to work so hard in university and I should have gone to a school thatâs easier and more fun.

I have 3 A and 1A* so far in my A levels. Is it enough in applying early or should I wait till regular and try to push for an A* in all 4

Hi Richard! I am applying to u of t this year and I am wondering about the essay you talked about, I didn't get any instruction to write an essay on the application to u of t. I am applying to the art,art management program at utsc and I am also applying to the lester b pearson scholarship which required me to write essays, is it because of these things that I don't need to write essays?

Hi I have a question regarding applications. How do you choose which College is best for you and your program? For example, if you want to enroll into Rotman, you choose residence that is closet to that building. What about Arts Program? How does that look like?
Hmmm I don't think colleges impact your university life that much. I had a similar question when I was applying to UofT but I would just suggest you to choose whichever one you like the most (they are all pretty much the same and it won't matter that much). Hi! I wanna apply to a Business undergrad program in UofT, but I'm confused between Rotman Commerce and UofTSC Management. Are you aware of their differences?
1.) Rotman Commerce is offered in St. George and other management programs are offered in different campuses
2.) You will encounter different opportunities
3.) You will have different professors & colleagues

Okay, also, I caught something you said about essays and uniqueness. I live in Surrey, which is in British Columbia and I had to apply through creating an OUAC account, a 105 application, there was no essay in that process đł, just personal information and such. Did I do something wrong? Do the essays and interviews come AFTER you apply or something? I'm so scared now.
Great question, so I think you did everything right and this essay part of the application process happens during the supplementary application process. Some programs like Rotman Commerce will even require students to do a video interview during this process. However, I don't think all programs have the supplementary application process so don't worry too much about itđđ!

Great question, you will get the question when you start the video interview. So you will have about a minute to think about your answer! (Itâs just like an actual interview)

As far as I know international students (from certain countries) can travel but they are required to quarantine after. I have never studied in Saskatchewan so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it's good or not but I think what matters more than where you study is your mindset (study hardđđ). When you said graduating from u of t is harder than getting in, does that mean the exams are super super hard and like I understand the workload but is it too much even for a person who studies on a daily basis?
This depends on your program but generally speaking you will have to study quite a bit if you want to graduate with a good GPA! (and yes the exams are pretty hardđđ)

There's no SAT in Canada, and yes they only look at 11 and 12 grades.

If you were going into business why didn't you apply to Western or Queens?
Western and Queens have great business schools as well but Rotman & Sauder which are the two business schools that I applied to offered some of the things I was looking for. This is my dream university (grade 9). I know it's a bit early but I have a question. If I'm in a bad class in school but get high grades, or if I'm in the highest class in my school but get B grades all the time, which one is more likely to get into UofT?

For some programs you do need to write essays and talk about your extracurriculars! (Example: Rotman Commerce)
Hi, I just graduated senior high school last July and I have started my College this September we are only done with the first half of our midterms... Can I still apply for the L. B. Pearson scholarship?
Because it says there that the students who want to apply should have graduated not early than June and have not started studying college starting January 2021

hii !!!! do you know whether midterms (grade 12) are a very important factor for admission decisions? I really messed up my midterms this year. But my predicted grades are pretty okay (mid-90s) and grades 11 and 10 were in the high 80s and low 90s too. However, the fact that my midterms can affect my chances of admission has been haunting me!!! I will be having 2 more major exams (mock exams) before the actual final exam. I was wondering if I can submit transcripts from those exams and just skip midterm transcripts. Can I do that?? ( is it compulsory to submit midterm transcripts- is the main question lmao). I don't know if this will help but my school only submitted my high school transcript with my final grade on them (not my exam marks). I think this might depend on where you are applying from but for me they never asked to see my exam marks. However I would still encourage you to contact the university about this question as well. However, some of my seniors said that they did submit their midterm transcripts. idrk what is supposed to be done!! hi im from indonesia, in my country we can apply the same uni with different major. is the u of t system the same with that? i mean you can apply 2 major in u of t as back up plan if you apply in major A but unfortunately you dont pass, and fortunately you pass for the major B. so i will take the major B
I don't believe so, I'm from Canada and our systems are more closely related to the U.S. than any other country, I think its better for you to ask the university first

Hey, look for the opportunities around you! Don't feel restricted because your school doesn't offer extracurriculars. There are many other ways to make you stand out: you can start your own project, get involved in activities outside your school,...! You can do it :)
