- This is a drop-release - this song was finished in the studio and instantly released the same day. It is a rough mix and is unmastered.
The story:
On June 1st 2008, Damien embarked on a '10 Days To Barcelona' project. The idea was to drive from Dublin to Barcelona in his old Mini, with some friends, and write a new song each day on the journey.
The songs, recordings & film footage of the project lived on the shelf for 10 years. It has only recently been revived and prepared for a slow release, over the coming months, as each song gets finished in the studio.
There are two versions of '100 Miles Across The Room'.

I loved listening to Damien since I was in high school, no one I know personally other than me really like his music, they'd call it "depressing" and I love it. Damien's music is my hidden gem! Also then I come and see all these comments praising Damien, imagine what if we could all meet up and listen to his music. The worries we would share. His music is just medicine for me.

Rome wasn't built in a day....each and every song of Damien rice is a Master piece.
Saw Damien several years from the third row of the Fox Theatre in Oakland California, this took me back to that intimate moment of hearing even his breathing change as he is pouring everything of himself into his music for us. Amazing.
There are times when music speaks to the soul....this is one of those times.
I'm 51 years old and his music constantly heals in someway so unappreciated but lucky for us fans

OMG, yes!! When I saw that Ben Howard and Damien Rice had both uploaded music the same day, I couldn't decide which to listen to first. Day made. Haven't heard Father John Misty, but if he's anything like these two amazing artists I'm going to have to check him out.

This is very inspiring. It takes much confidence to put out such a raw track in this era. As an engineer, i'd give this one a thumbs up. The recording is crisp and up to the mark. Automation is similar to how film scores sound like. In love with the perception.
