Thanks.I've been travelling high motorway miles and I'm wondering how much fuel removing the RR will save me.From what I estimate 'only' £3 per round trip but what if it's more? Ordered a replacement key and I'll find out.
The big thing is buying the proper rack for your car, and the right size. Thule makes different widths and too small won’t fit, too large may fit but the bars will hang out a little too far and detract from the looks of the car but are still functional. Personally I trust myself over having someone else install.
The reason I say dealership is that I know Thule makes specific racks for Subaru available through Subaru. Might be the same for Honda. Instead I bought a used Thule rack and installed myself. If you don’t have rails on your car it’ll be a different type of rack of course and I’m not sure those would be available through a dealership.
Haha sorry. Unscrew the hex knob the whole way. Feel the loose slack on the rubber strap behind the foot you just unscrewed. Push and wiggle the strap forward toward yourself and you should be able to pop the strap’s rubber endpoint toward you and have it come loose from its retainer track. It’s hard to find the words. I hope that’s clear enough.
Correct 😞 I resort to occasional spray off wash most of the year. The kind you pay for that has soap, brush, etc. I take it off when they start salting the streets, though I’m late this year.
Sorry about that. Push the rubber strap underneath up and toward yourself. This strap loosens as you turn the tool counter clockwise. You may have to turn quite a bit before the strap loosens enough to release the front catch.
thank you, very helpful.
Nice simple demo. Thanks!
Thanks Tim. Helpful this morning. Happy holidays!
You’re welcome! Happy holidays to you too.
Thanks for this video, really helped me out!
I got the rack off our 4Runner thanks to this video.
Omg thank you, I managed to space my roof rails perfectly for my roof rack, but my rack was sitting too far forward.
Saved my bacon!

Thank you. Game winner
Thanks! You da man! -saw-
Thank you!
Do you know the Thule model of this crossbar?
Is there a store that installs racks for you? I have a Honda Civic with no roof rack of any sort. I want to make sure I don't mess up my car.
I’m sorry I don’t know. Maybe the Honda dealership?

@@mcpastor63 I figured as much but wanted to see if another option
I also have a Honda Civic with no preexisting roof rack and REI installed mine.
Where do I get a replacement key to take these off
I’d tryThule.com. I’ve purchased parts from them. Good customer service.
The one part I can’t figure out is the one part that you had to put the phone down and you can’t see lol

Thanks. Thule doesn't make it easy to remove these things.
Not fast enough or friendly enough for drive-thru CarWash removal😢

We didn’t see it….
push what from behind?
