What an awesome video. I wanted to go there the same time I'm feeling like I've already been. Lovely evening colors and scenery and great music. Thank you for this video! 35:25 So that's how they load those huge pontoon boats.
I was there this past summer. Towed our 14' inflatable boat 1800 round trip from San Francisco. We even swung through Death Valley on the way! We stayed at Wahweap Resort and day tripped for 5 days. Highlight was a 86 mile roundtrip to Dangling Rope Marina in UT, no one at marina could believe we got there with a 20hp tiller. We found paradise, following a narrow water channel that dead ended and left us alone with amazing views and mountain sheep. And due to covid-19 my 11 year old daughter and I almost had Navajo Canyon all to ourselves, memories we will never forget. Only regret was running out time and not dropping below damn and boat around Horseshoe Bend..NEXT YEAR!
I just found this video only is it beautiful thank you guys so much for making it I live in beautiful Savannah Georgia but that is a different kind of beautiful thank you
Now this looks like a awesome trip, Lake Powell is amazing. Doesn't look like a lot of fuel stops along the way, so do you bring extra fuel? The C Dorys look like fun boats for that.
Thanks for sharing. you guys enjoying retirement life and thanks to President Roosevelt and other Presidents who help preserve all the natural beauty of nature make it into a park for all the people in the world can enjoy and admire...
Nice footage of Lake Powell Floyd. We were there 2 weeks after you. My wife and I have been following your adventures and are planning on taking similar trips when we purchase a C-Dory. We are camping and staying in Cabins right now while boating from Southern California on our Seaswirl 19. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Great video! We love how you showed that your C-Dory can go pretty much anywhere on Lake Powell. Beautiful place! We’d love to share a picture on our Facebook and Instagram pages if you’ll let us.
If you hear of anything from 22'-25' preferably a well maintained one owner must be able to sleep, cook and drive from enclosed cabin. Preferably C-Dory, King Fisher, Hawes, North River, etc.... Outboards preferably. Really like what you are doing on Lake Powell, before Co-Vid had planned a month or so on Lake Powell. Looks like you had a blast.
Interested in the logistics. Food water fuel waste garbage? I believe you went six days straight before stopping at Dangling Rope. Very nice video, thanks.
We went to Dangling I believe on the 3rd day for fuel and water etc.. and stopped on the way back for Ice cream :) Our C-Dory is small but my wife is a good provisioner, we ate very well.
It's pretty easy to do a week in a C Dory. My dad's old 25 had an auxiliary tank and could easily go 300 miles before needing fuel. We did most of the great loop with it and rarely worried about fuel.
Hello Mr. Stewart I have watched for hours many of your videos. If I could ask a few questions about purchasing a C Dory. What to look for? How are thr transoms? Anything to look out for on the hull. Common leak locations. The decks are they balsa or wood core? Can you still get replacement parts i.e. window seals frames etc from the factory. Are the C Dory 22 models the same since first built or any major changes? All in all what to most look out for when shoppung for a C Dorry. Thank for any information you may offer. I subed while ago. Thanks again.
Thanks for your interest in my videos and in C-Dorys. I am far from being a C-Dory expert so I would suggest that you visit our C-Brat forum and look at the wealth of information there. www.c-brats.com/index.php - This is a wonderful resource for those who love the craft and it is a very active forum and community.
Thank you Floyd, all beautiful boats. We are down to the Dory 25 or the Rossi 246, we like both and both have their pros and cons. We will mostly be in the San Juan Islands but would like to also trailer across country, which the Dory would be better for I think. But really like the lines and rough water ability of the Rossi. Tough decision. Both about the same price give or take.
I always come back to watch this video over and over. You really did a fantastic job putting this together and for that, I thank you. 😁👍
Very good video. Super relaxing to watch.

Best boat trip video I’ve seen. Great job! Thank you for sharing.
Wow. Thnx for sharing. What boggles my mind is that, at one time, the water level was all the way to the top.
The shots of the Hairless Apes at the end of the video were breathtaking.

Hi¡ Is ok to stay on the boat on the night? And camping around the lake
What size Dory’s do we have here? We are really serious about a 25 purchase.
Far C'r and Firefly are 22 ft and Vega is a 25 ft C-Dory. A nice feature of the 25 is that it has an enclosed head!

Great video shame you had to go on a Delta not a Lake . Hopefully you pulled out before u çouldn't.
no new cdory videos?
Heading for the Upper Mississippi River in Sept, the pandemic sure put a damper on adventure. Thanks for watching
