Nice build! I never thought about adding sliders in the access cab, great idea. Those rear seat belts are pretty easy to remove and add back later if you need, that way you don't have to fiddle with them being in the way all the time.
That's a good point. Never bothered me too much, but there's no need to have them on there. I actually left the rear seats in for this build...just covered them up. In hindsight I wish I had just taken them out and stored them.

Great build out man! I love the detail and thought you put into the supercab space. I have a 95 crew cab f350 and I removed the back bench but never thought about turning it into an organized storage like that. Well made 👍🏻

holy crap that is intense. definitely could tell it was a labor of love for ya. only thing i saw was you could've removed the rear seats and buckles for more space! But that's a bitchin set up!

Looks like it’s sagging a bit in the back from all the additional weight. You might consider putting airbags in the rear suspension. I did that on my older 90 Ford Ranger when I was hauling a four wheeler in the back, it made a substantial difference in the ride and levelling it out with it being fully loaded. I liked your build and the woodwork. Looks like a nice set up for truck camping. I’m envious of your shop. Have a good one.

Looking to do something similar with my Ranger. Just have to track down a shell & locking tailgate first.
Those shells can be hard to find used. I'd love a taller one eventually myself.

Why not take out/remove the child seatbelts along with the tiny seats? The only compact truck that has the best rear child’s seat configuration is the Nissan Frontier S king cab. But I would take out the seats and seatbelts as I would have no need for them. Also, I would drill some small holes (1/8" size) to help reduce unnecessary weight in the wood. What kind of wood is it?

Amazing from start to finish absolutely amazing job…. We have a 2004 Ranger Edge that I love I’m looking to buy a topper for it and do something similar I love to camp and travel… our vacations when my children were little always centered around camping we primitive camped then
But now my children have grown and my husband and I are much much older and I need a few comforts for sleeping lol lil AC or heat and some solid padding to sleep so we decided to modify our truck and maybe pull a very small trailer for bikes and screen room and or other camping items
Would love any ideas or suggestions you may have

I've thought about making the factory bed cover on my 2003 Ranger into a pop-up tent . But if I did I probably wouldn't use it very much anyway . Mine is a two-wheel drive Edge model , so it's not like I could take it off road much anyway .
You can still go off-roading, gravel and unpacked dirt roads. You just do extreme stuff like rock crawling or mud boggin.

MT is nice for power but honestly its a nightmare with clutch issues and shifting issues
Question about your cab storage. How are your seats set? Are they all the way back? The recline looks comfortable but I'd have to sit in it to be sure. I am 6'5" and I need the leg room up front, otherwise the shelving unit is awesome!
Good question. I adjusted both seats to where I felt it was comfortable personally, and that's the furthest back they go. Definitely not all the way back. I had to bring them forward some to fit the fridge and maximize space. I've had taller passengers that aren't the most comfortable, but that's a sacrifice I had to make.
What do you do if you get a a crash right after making all of this
how much weight could you build with in the bed for your camper ?

Yes. You can find the paint code on the sticker inside your door. I got a single-stage auto paint, so it's slightly different than the original finish, but close enough.

How do you lock/unlock the back box when you're inside ?
Would love to do something similar to my ranger but can't figure out how to make it secure when I'm in it overnight.
Good question. To be honest... I don't. I'm fairly certain they make locking handles that can replace the stock handle, and you'd need to get a shell that also locks from the outside and inside.

I actually didn't do much other than painting it... It was my first time spraying automotive finish, so didn't turn out all that great. Hoping to get a bigger top eventually.

I’m currently saving up for a ranger so I can do an overland . I’m also a very small and 5’6. Would it be possible to build a tiny sleeper behind the seats? 🤣🤣 it’s currently just a thought

Why didn’t you just remove the belt buckles and the rear seats?
Frankly, I didn't want to take away from the re-sellability of the truck. I don't have a storage unit, home, apartment, etc. so there's nowhere I could store that stuff. If I ever decide I want to move on, I don't want to sell a truck that's missing parts. Especially belt buckles and back seats.
