Gil, Romero, Skipp, Emerson deserve to play every game. They need to be integrated into the squad and become regulars in order to build their passion, skills and more. Nuno insists with the old fringe players but they aren’t the future.

Nuno is where Arteta was 2 yrs ago. Managers need time to work with players, sell and buy. The clueless ones are the ones that expect instant results because they have unrealistic expectations. I'm an Arsenal fan. I've backed our manager from day one. When other fans laughed at our new signings, I knew Arteta just needed time to work with them. Look what happened yesterday. We'll lose some games but this is expected with a young squad. Nuno is a great manager. What he did with Wolves was excellent. He should be afforded the time

But this is Arsenal 2022 under Artapas and we’ll always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. We’re both in false positions anyway with West Ham, United, Leicester, Wolves etc all falling away this year. I am genuinely not looking forward to next season as others will improve including Newcastle - Artapas has until Christmas and if the Board have any spine they’ll axe him.

I feel sorry for us the tormented fans - Nuno is unfortunately an off the shelf second rate coach who was way down the pecking order when candidates for the Spurs vacancy became available.
Sure ENIC proved the night before at the boxing event where their business plan was heading however, they didn’t arrange for both Ali & Ndombele to be our midfield dynamos and for long balls to be our modus operandi. Losing the dressing room this early in the season one is tempted to contact the Guinness people to see if this is a record.

Tottenham's defense and midfield exposed.
Whenever a new manager comes in, the fringe and 1st team players always seem to try and raise their game i.e Dele, Dier and Sanchez for instance. And thus they play out of their skin to impress the manager hence the wins in the 1st 3 matches. But it is a false narrative.
The win against Man City to me was never a harbinger of good things to come since Tottenham beat Man City early last season as well on Steven Bergwijn's fantastic introduction to the Premier League. And, it's early days.
My evaluation of the Tottenham squad always comes after a loss or losses and a couple of months into the season. But we can now already see cracks in many positions in midfield and defense. Kane's listless performances also harbors problems in the attack.
Moreover why not start Romero in place of Dier or Sanchez? While at half time Nuno could have replaced Kane with Gil so Son would lead the attack. And, substitute either Dele or Tanguy with Skipp to give the midfield a better grip on the game since it was clearly being overrun.
It all goes back to the manager in my opinion because according to Nuno in his post-match interview that Tottenham did have a game plan and he thought he had the right players on the pitch but you know what they say, hindsight is 20/20.
It may be all good to some that Nuno admitted he got it all wrong but by him not making any significant changes in players/tactics/formation at the beginning of the 2nd half, it completely cancels and nullifies his so-called error in judgement. So, no action talk only.
Now, Tottenham has to seriously think about finding a manager alternative. Paratici is also not what he was hyped up to be. As for Levy and ENIC, I think it's obvious to Tottenham fans what needs to happen i.e. get out.
However, that is not likely to happen anytime soon so we shall see what Tottenham's management does during the January 2022 transfer window to improve the team.
There is a chance that Kane returning to the club after the Man City had a much deeper impact that we think. All the attacking players could’ve been psychologically affected. Son could have been relishing his new role as the key man. Lucas and Bergjwin could’ve been relishing their starting roles, and probably tried harder to fill the gap of no Kane. Nuno probably had to change course and strategize differently once Kane came back. I’m not blaming Kane for causing all this, but I think both sides (Kane’s camp and Levy/Paratici) underestimated what a failed transfer attempt meant for the club. The team needed time after that to adjust. Luckily the defense was playing really well. But then the int’l break brought on a slew of problems (injuries, the Argentinian quarantine), so here we are.
So True but please no more Portuguese Managers there not good enough....
@@rdpaik Absolutely agree that the Kane saga and his being rehabilitated (for lack of a more appropriate word) back into the 1st team had a psychological affect on the whole squad in general but more so on the frontline in particular.
I'm sure that Kane was gutted to not have been able to join Man City but it would never have been an easy negotiation anyway with Levy's reputation of driving a hard bargain. So, I believe Levy wouldn't have let it happen in any case.
The issue with Kane is that it's like a double-edged sword for Tottenham in my opinion...
** Keep him and you'd have a disgruntled player who would probably not play optimally (not saying he would down tools) but would take time to reintegrate himself with the team.
** Sell him and you'd have a big hole at the striker position because Paratici had failed to find a replacement. Son, though quite good, is not an ideal false nine because you take away the aerial threat Kane poses which keeps defenses honest by not focusing on one aspect of Tottenham's attack only.
That said, I think Nuno shouldn't have thrown Kane straight into the 1st team because he wasn't match fit and was not ready psychologically. Stay with the original frontline and milk it as much as possible while waiting for Kane to get his fitness levels up and accept the reality.
As for the defense, the 2 CBs (Dier and Sanchez) who played well in the 1st 3 matches were the exact same ones last season that many Totteham fans were clamoring to be sold. Like Aurier, they were said to be one mistake away from disaster.
Remember, Nuno played with a back 4 unlike his time at the Wolves where he favored a back 3. So, are we to believe that these 2 CBs have actually changed? Based on their performance in the derby match against Arsenal it doesn't seem so, does it?
Alli and Ndombele should not play anymore.
