Joe Jackson you have the soul of a true jazz man. Great song, great keyboards.

I was floored when I heard this and still to this day of the craftmanship and time that was put into this master piece.

Beautiful version. I was expecting him to sing it, too, but am glad he left it this way.

This was a fantastic album. To take a bunch of alternative rock (at the time)artists, and turn them loose on Monk. A lot of pleasant surprises

Of Course, Monks RM is a Dessert Island Disc. But this version, oh its very special... It has a real hairs stand on end quality about it.
Amazing production, the Drama of the intro, then Joe comes in, all wrapped up in those strings, very haunting.
Even Joe's style, he's so percussive, hitting those keys, not carressing them, so Monk
    Perfect, just perfect

"new wave" should be "New Wave." Love this stuff; romanced to it in my 20s and 30s. With the same guy!

The Angry Young Men of the British new wave were extremely diverse and musically aware. Remember Elvis Costello's "My Funny Valentine"?

Either you don't know "grunge" or you don't know Joe Jackson. JJ"s music has ALWAYS had a sophistication that NO grunge has ever had.
