I second this along with the 300 likes and everyone else who commented. This needs to be done twice a year at least. I NEVER WATCH BRAVES GAMES WITH SOUND. It's mostly on in the background with volume down low while I'm doing something else but THIS GAME was watched with sound throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Watched this with my 85 year old mother last night (we started going to Braves' games in '66 when I was 2). I don't know if we've ever had that much fun watching a baseball game. They didn't hide their Braves' bias, and we absolutely loved it!

why would they hide it? i donât understand why local announcers, who work FOR the team, and fly to games with the players, are supposed to be fairâŠ.. i mean they should call the game with emotion, and compliment the other teams good plays, but they obviously are going to have more excitement for their team
@@stevesand8845 I completely agree. I know I saw an interview with Skip Carey years ago (he was biased and never afraid to show it), and he pretty much said the same thing as you. He was friends with the players, their families, etc.. I think it's great! Now, as far as the national guys like ESPN, they shouldn't do it, even though they do with teams like the Yankees...
Brandon Gaudin is tremendous and is a HUGE upgrade to what we had before, but I don't mind him having some nights off every now and then to have these guys call the game. These 4 Braves legends absolutely killed it - awesome to see them having such fun in the booth together!

@@hawksgoated3613 Chip was just fine - but Gaudin is much, much better. I donât think Iâm the only one who feels that way, I think Iâm actually in the majority with that take. Chip just talked too much - I think his contract must have been paid by the word.

This was so much fun to watch last night. I loved seeing Chipper, Smoltzie, Glav and Frenchy having a lot of fun in the booth. The Braves coming back to the Mets was the cherry on top.

As a Braves fan I've been going around today listening to a hand full of Mets podcasts to get their take and hear the crestfallen anger. And boy, the fact that these four Braves legends where calling this game, of all games, in the way that they were calling it with Francoeur yelling "YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOOOOOARD". It wasn't salt in the wound, it was FIBERGLASS IN THE WOUND. Scorn, distraught, angry, lost, disheartened....Broken. Its safe to say the Mets are not the happiest camper on the bus right now.

You add in the fact that you had THREE HOF guys, who used to destroy them in the 90's- 00's mocking them also crushed their souls. We broke them, it's over, they're done.

This is what every broadcast should sound like. A bunch of former players having fun calling the game that they love for their former team. TV revenue would skyrocket.
I'm a Redsox fan but I grew up watching these guys! I wish every MLB team could have this maybe once a month or so. And as a Mets hater it was even sweeter!

This was one of the most fun regular season games I've seen in a long time. We need more of this crew in the booth. They were so entertaining.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT BASEBALL NEEDS! More announcers that show the excitement and fun they're having watching the game instead of those who tell boring ass stories throughout the whole broadcast.
Lets be honest though. This is what happens when you have a game where there are 20+ runs on the board. If this was a 2-1 type game they very may have had to resort to stories. But that being said; I am sure their stories still would have been way more entertaining than anything tools like Chip Caray would have come up with.
Glad there were so many Braves homers for these guys to call! Best of the best!

Loved this. What a blast to see these greats having fun. Glavine looks like the head of the National Security Agency. Smoltzie looks like he could pitch the ninth and retire the Yankees in order. Chipper and Frenchie just look like good ol' boys havin' fun.

It was a great idea and it still exceeded my expectations. Idk if its G-Wagon or someone else that brought this idea to the table but it was an amazing experience. I've never enjoyed a June baseball game more than that!
I love watching their faces light up after the crack of the bat when they know its gone. And the subsequent antics make it feel like its 4 friends watching the game in the basement man cave

this entire game needs to be posted here. It was awesome! It should be the game (obviously) w/the booth cam PIP. The fact that they were making fat jokes at McCann's expense was just brutally funny. Between the action & the call, I don't know that I've ever had more fun watching a ballgame on TV.
This broadcast really even exceeded my expectations. Great job by all involved! And the clip of Chipper plowing over Maddux was epic. I did not recall that. I was a bit disappointed there weren't some "LARRY!" signs in the stands or at least a few chants.

Man watching these guys was awesome... I wish they got more then one WS, being from AZ I was able to go to quite a few games and I'll always remember them... The legend and my fave player Chipper was always killing it when I watched him play. Gotta do this again
I can't stop watching this video. I love how they act so similar to when I watch the Braves with my buddies. Frenchie punching Smoltz to remind him it was "his inning" to call the home run was hilarious. Damn, I can't find words to say how much I'd love them all in the booth again.
