I watched MJ & the Bulls from '87 on and was a huge fan. I will say tho on the 2nd 3peat Jordan had a lot of help. So many great players on the 2nd 3peat squad.

They had elite defense. But their offense and durability was trash during the 2nd 3 peat. Their shooting was poor, their low post game was poor, their scoring was poor. Even their effective ball movement was mixed due to all of the injuries.
They had to put heavy emphasis on the defense and MJ had to pull off heroics for them to dominate.

Luke Longley played very well for them. Couldn't ask any more from your big man.
Longley played great in all three Finals. As great as Jordan and Pippen were, they would probably only have 3 or 4 rings if their role-player teammates didn't step up in the playoffs, and that's a knock on them that goes for any all-time great. Great players will get their teams to conference finals and finals, but if the role players don't step up they'll go home ringless because the opposing team is almost always loaded with talent and on a mission to win.

Kemp averaged 23 points, 10 rebounds, on 55% shooting. Walton saying that the Sonics should post Kemp on Rodman was 100% correct because Rodman could not guard him.

The numbers don't tell the whole story, if you watched the series, Dennis was the difference. It's why a lot of people, even to this day, say that Rodman should have gotten the Finals MVP.
On paper Kemp scored more, but Dennis did all the little things that needed doing, and kept the energy level up for the team. He was also in the heads of the entire Sonics team, hell even the coach was getting into it with Dennis.
And think Jordan wouldn't kill this a era lol

Jazz slowed the game down & tried to keep the score in the high 80s to low 90's. It's really the only strategy that gives you any chance against the Bulls. It's not the prettiest style of ball to watch but they definitely gave the Bulls their toughest test.

the 1992 blazers won by a combined 16 points lost by a combined 60 points including the 122-89 game 1 loss where 39 points were scored by michael jordan
in the 1992 finals if i'm right 35.5 points per game were averaged by michael jordan and if i'm right he had 45 or 46 points in game 5
the 1996 sonics won by a combined 32 points lost by a combined 55 points and held michael jordan to 27.3 points per game

Nobody says that they say that compared to his contemporaries MJ won with lesser talent than them! When MJ was drafted to the Bulls his first 3 years he definitely drug them to the playoffs and he definitely didn’t have any help back then!
