What a well-spoken woman. Her honesty about any previous van life or camping was interesting to hear along with her admission of the mistakes she made while doing this project. She sure gets an A+ for her first home-on-wheels effort. Also… her frequent remark about “It makes me happy!” tells a lot about what kind of sunny, bright person she is.

Only complaint I have is she's not on youtube!! Very creative, up beat, fun personality. Makes me want to meet her son, and just see more of her. Wouldn't it be fun to see her live in this van and learn about van life! I think she would get a good following on youtube. Doesn't hurt that she's attractive and has that watchability factor. You go girl!

What cool ideas she has! She said it’s not a business for her right now, but it sure could be! Her creativity is awesome and she could bring so many different ideas to all the different kinds of rigs out there. She also gave me my favorite new phrase: “I calculate failure.” 😊
I think Sara sums up what many of us feel about having cheaprvliving and howa with us during important times in our lives that would not have happened as smoothly if they didn't exist. So well designed with an uncluttered, spacious feeling. Usually these vans are packed so tightly with essentials, necessarily; they feel cluttered. This one felt quite spacious for a van and very homey. Sara has so much energy, creativity, and talent. ❤

My ancestors on moms side are from Germany & so was my late husbands grandfather. Sarah is an amazing woman with loads of talent. I’m so glad she found something she loves doing to fill in her recovery time.This van is truly remarkable. Whoever gets this van is very blessed.

That van is AWESOME! So many great ideas. I am currently in the process of outfitting my little Honda HR-V to go on an extended road trip sometime (hopefully) in the near future, and this build gave me lots of ideas for different things that I had been trying to figure out. Thanks for the great video!
oh, and just in case anyone was wondering, I did figure out the bed situation. I'm 5' 10", and I can lie down flat in the back if I fold the driver's seat forward. Don't have to move it, just fold the seatback. It has a hard stop at a nice angle to use as my recliner, and doing this gives me the clearance I need to fit back there! Perhaps when It's all done (well, mostly) I will send pics to your website in case anyone is curious.

That picture on the wall that becomes a window to look out is priceless! Never seen anything like that either people have too many windows and keep using those Installation, things they have to put up, or else. They have no windows and they can't see.

I'm surprised Sarah chose to close off the front area from rear cabin. But, space is at a premium in Van life. Nice execution on the details!
That is the only thing that I don't like. Otherwise, the build is beautiful.
I was, too, but then she does have access through one of the cabinets. It would be a tight fit but in an emergency a smaller adult could slide through it.
I really really love this build, but the only thing I would want is to access the cab area from the living space, without having to go outside 😊
With her intelligence and resourcefulness and experience at using different materials , you could be intimidating to anyone... And I come from a construction background working for home builders but I built the plans and materials into the database. I didn't physically go on site but as I tell people , I could build a house in my mind from the ground up. But her personality and openness and just you can tell. She has pure enthusiasm for her building She comes across as a very warm comfortable person to speak to. I would love to see what it comes up with the next van project. She can change her business to designing vans. Because the one thing I really, really like is. This does not look like a typical Van with just the bed. The kitchen on one side and that's it. I love the L shape countertop.
And adding the mirror and that really deep medicine or storage cabinet turns it also into a vanity.
One of the best build's i've seen for a uniqueness and functionality. I love the fact that the storages under the bed. And you don't have to go outside to the back doors. I'm not a sports enthusiast for people. Keep all that stuff at the back and of course if it's wet surfboards Or tools, But I'm an older single senior with us. Lightly that knee I wouldn't be doing that.
I love the alternative of the bed being able to open and stays up.
I abandoned the idea of waiting for a Van build and they were all the same. And I know I couldn't do the work myself and I bought a small class b plus a few weeks ago. Got a good deal on it but I keep thinking if it gets too much for me.
I could always sell it in the future and go back to a van build.
WOW how beautiful and efficient...I'm starting over at 61 and I think this is something I need...I have a little 2000 kompressor and it doesn't have any room

Wow! I have seen so many van builds, but honestly this one is #1 for me. I love that if you had to come from the front you can do so, taking that picture down to see outside brilliant, the decor is beautiful.

I absolutely loved this tour and Sara's outlook on life! It's so interesting to see what materials can be used in a conversion like this - the epoxy countertop looks like it's out of a high-scale kitchen and then the "molding" being baby-proofing is such a funny juxtaposition.

On another van build one man asked if all women are born with these wood working skills? Lol.. seems like it😂. Nice ideas to limit added weight too. At first I thought the cab was blocked off from a quick exit. The exit design was very original. Good luck in your endeavors. Kudos to these independant, creative women.

I think it is very good that Sara found a way to expres herself and push the depression out with creativity. That works tremendously. The Van look really nicely organized and stylish. Love the pebbles! The decorations are tasteful and well chosen. I like the hidden storage spaces behind the mirror etc. I just miss color and life in the whole concept. The white & greys look rather sterile to me, but that may be just a question of wastes. Sara you did really well! I'd be interested to see how you will do when you stay in there for a month; if you would find certain things to be very helpful or not so helpful after all. Would be interesting to find out if all the things you thought about and hoped to work out well really proof successfull in real van-life too. Not that I expect any problems from what you shared, but it would be interesting to find out. Thanks for sharing.
