"Im here to help! Yes i do realize everyone goes into a panic every time i say that" and then Rolan immediately saying "Im only here because you "helped" me and my family" made me laugh more than it should.
16:40 "Don't mock talented dinosaurs!" Love all your lps so much, this comment made my day.
Don't listen to the "Long Rest every 5 minutes" crowd. Your time between rests is fine.
Gopher you get one sneak attack per turn, including during Attacks of Opportunity. You used Astarion’s sneak attack on opportunity attacks twice in a row, which was why you couldn’t sneak attack on your turn. But that’s the entire point of setting it to “ask” - you can choose to use it during your reaction or action/bonus. Without it, the game would default to sneak attacking whichever you did first in a round.
Incidentally that’s also why there’s no use Hasting Astarion because one sneak attack per turn means extra attacks will be weak.
Exactly, but regardless, the enemy that was being sneak attacked during the attacks of opportunity was the enemy he was already fighting, so those sneak attacks went to the right enemy either way!
Cherry on top was also that Rolan was saved 🎉! Well fought!
@Gopher Quick mechanical tip regarding rouges. Astarion is a very dangerous weapon at your disposal. Maneuver him into blindspots by previewing his stealth with the SHIFT key. Then move him out of view, bonus action hide and attack from the shadows. Then bite or move in for double offhand attacks etc. There are numerous multiclass builds that can even further take advantage of his initial attacks, especially since with a very high dex he tends to win initiative. With the right build Astarian can easily remove some of the toughest enemies from the board before they've even had a chance to act.
Cheers
I really like act2 in this game, I hope gopher is gonna enjoy it :D
No, its fine, I'm not salty at all that I've lost Isobel twice, on my first blind playthrough and again on my Honor mode run, and Gopher wins the fight first try. Really not jealous at all. Nope. XD
I had so much anxiety watching you go into this fight but glad to see you pulled through!
I am not looking forward to when he gets to the Thaniel Portal mission w/ Halsin...I have never completed it on the first go without failing lol.
@@connormasten ah, you aren't caught up on Gopher's previous adventures are you?
@@saintsyche Im really behind, just stopped to see kinda where he is at. Did he already lose Halsin???
OMG he would accidentally kill him xD Damn that's a lot of content he just lost.
Oh thank God, I was very stressed about how this fight could go
Same. It's so easy for things to go horribly wrong here, I've been dreading it from the time he started this playthrough.
@@ChaosDraguss Apparently I wasn't alone...... 🤣 I still need to catch up on watching Reginald's adventures, but I'm relieved to see he got through that Last Light fight OK... That is one fight I never feel ANY shame at save-scumming!
He's on Balanced, high enough level, competent enough even without heavy hitter in a party. Yes, Isobel can do dumb thing but still, it's not very hard to keep her alive on Balanced. I don't know what you guys are on about :-))
@@alexmashkin863 my concern wasn't for the difficulty of the flight it was for Isabelle and her habit of doing stupidity.
Having said that I've never played on anything other than tactician so I didn't expect this fight to go so smoothly
@@Fishfiend2820 Yeah, on Tactician it's considerably harder to keep her stupid AI from getting her killed, agree
Wow.... I'm always on good terms with Astarion, so I always end up being treated to his scars in camp before Act 2. It was awesome to see this scene, and it makes me love Larian's attention to detail, and taking into account player agency, even more. I'll also be very interested to see ....

.......how Art Cullagh's quest works out.............
Marcus was quite confused to start off that battle, ran around and took opportunity attacks from Isobel, Wyll, Gopher, Scratch and Astarion. I'm also surprised to see Jaheria actually attacking, in many of my runs she likes to just turn into a Panther, turn invisible and that's all she contributes.
Good job keeping her from being taken, not always easy to do that.
That fight took me by surprise the first time around, whole team was beaten up and tired when the attack came. Wasn't pretty.
I discovered Bethesda through Fallout 3, heard it was "Oblivion with guns", got curious, played Oblivion, loved it. After that I looked into what they have, played Morrowind - still one of my absolute favourite games to this day :-) It was about a year after when F3 released. Didn't play Skyrim till much much later though, 2018 maybe, after watching few Gopher letsplays.
And yes, New Vegas is the best next gen Fallout game ;-)
I wonder how far Rolan would travel if Karlach threw him, or loaded him up into a catapult, either works..
Did I tell you about the time my friend had a heart attack while driving his Caddy?
We call it his Cadillac Escalade cardiac escapade.
Reminds me of the time Roy rolled a Rolls Royce
Do you know the difference between a computer and a woman? A computer will accept a 3.5 in Floppy.
On what difficulty is he playn?
Balance
I think he's on medium difficulty? Only cause I think I saw it takes 40 resources to take a long rest instead of 80.
ES6 needs to be like Skyrim, but a bit better and nicer looking. On the flipside, Starfield was like Fallout, but worse in basically every way for me. lol
you will keep miss for you have not made them not to hit by now you made them and put point on at will not help them in a fight . you can not fight and you made it at way by the point you put on them .

I literally said "As per Pat from Pat Stares At, who has contacts at Bethesda, after Starfield the general atmosphere over there is they are one game bombing away from a lot of lay offs hitting them". Go check it on episode 33.
Please tell me exactly where in that statement I'm prophesying that Bethesda IS one game away from layoffs. It's literally just a statement sharing worries of devs, which I thought you might be interested in, as a fellow Bethesda enjoyer. After that you were the one who tried to force the "every single game they've made since Morrowind has had people claiming that they've lost 'it'" narrative into it when that wasn't what was mentioned at all, and then decided that that was what I said, and ran with it from there.
My brother in christ, you created the drama you were ranting about.
Yours was only one of hundreds, if not thousands of comments I've read over the years, talking about the BGS being in trouble. And in fact, if memory serves me, yours was not even that 'doom an gloom' compared to many other. Actually, didn't you suggest it had nothing to do with their next game because the layoffs were somewhat random and had nothing to do with how the game performed?
But like I said, this is not a new 'drama', and was definately not started with your comment :) It's been going on for decades. People have been predicting the death of modding, the death of gaming, and yes, the death of BGS, for as long as I've been making videos and longer still. Some don't just predict the end, they GUARANTEE it and call me naive for not seeing it. That one was back in 2016 I believe. Death of Modding by Christmas that year.
So the predictions of them getting lay offs may even be correct. And worse, one day BGS might fall. It could be this year, it could be long after I'm dead. But you will have to forgive me my skeptisism on all issues like this because BGS has managed to bounce back time after time after time, and even from the launch of Fallout 76 to eventually make that a success. Starfield has a lot of flaws for sure, but as far as I know it sold well, which makes me think that as disappointed as XBOX might be by the reception of the game, they're probably still quite happy to let BGS keep making games more or less as is. I don't KNOW that for sure though. That just seems like the sensible option with what I know so far.
And if it is random, and even successful devs can be laid off .... then there is no point worrying about it, as there is nothing we (or BGS) can do to prevent it. And I for one will raise a toast to them and thank them for all the games that I enjoyed, and then promptly play something else. Or mod the crap out of one of their old games and play that :)
