Unfortunately none of the written instructions state to hold the button down while we count to 6, however the video shows the woman holding for both the dose counter, AND the count to 6. When I called customer service they indicated they didn't know the correct answer. I think Ozempic should indicate when we are supposed to release the button.
@@user-rv3gc2qx9e Unfortunately not, even after calling them again and doing some more research on line. Thanks so much. This is my second injection. 1st time I took it out when it turned to zero. TODAY, I will count to 6 before I take it out. Good reminders.
It's hard to believe the manufacturer would put this out without use of an alcohol wipe before injection. But there it is, not once in the whole video do they talk about cleaning the injection site.
It’s because it is a subcutaneous injection. This means it goes into the subcut space just under the skin. Due to the frequency of subcut injections regardless of if it’s ozempic or anything else the alcohol wipe will actually do more damage to your skin over time so it isn’t a requirement. Anything that sit on your skin around your stomach won’t do much harm to your body in that space. The only time they alcohol wipe the skin is if it’s going into the muscle or if it is visibly dirty. I’m studying to be a nurse and I was equally as shocked when I found out
Why is this so hard for me to do??? I've been sitting here for half an hour trying to get my guts up to inject for the first time. The video is very helpful but I just have to get my courage up!
Well, one month later and the medication still sits in my fridge. Improved diet and exercise, even in this stressful world of COVID-19, has gotten my sugars down a long ways. If I'm ever to use this, I'm gonna have to get somebody else to stab me.
If you didn't count to 6, the entire dose was NOT injected. You posted this 3 months ago, so hope you are doing well and learned how to use it with ease. I just took my 3rd dose. The first one was scary because I don't like needles but I didn't even feel it so now I think I'll be good to go!
