    Unfortunately none of the written instructions state to hold the button down while we count to 6, however the video shows the woman holding for both the dose counter, AND the count to 6. When I called customer service they indicated they didn't know the correct answer. I think Ozempic should indicate when we are supposed to release the button.

    • @verthib
      @verthib Před rokem

      @@user-rv3gc2qx9e Unfortunately not, even after calling them again and doing some more research on line. Personally what I do now is insert the pen, push the button and when the medication is done releasing, I hold the button down for six more seconds, then I let go of the button, and then I pull out the pen. It’s been working pretty well with very infrequent bruising.

      @@verthib Ozempic agents depending on which country's call centre you reached can be as dumb as those who believe the earth is flat. Maybe even dumber.
      One woman or man, I couldn't tell was speaking so slow and from a script. I thought it was a bot. My MD told me to hold and press the button after pushing and holding the pen into my belly, wait until the counter resets to zero, then count to 11.
      There's always a bit of liquid left on the pen, and sometimes the pen doesn't deliver the full dose with the last needle. On my right abdomen, I bleed, and it's painful but not on my left.
      You also need to relocate the injection site but how the heck are we supposed to remember each time? One recommendation is to ensure the new injection site is a least a finger away from the previous. Are we supposed to use a marker to outline the site used?
      Anyway, for $300 a pen, this is unacceptable. Fortunately, a new provider and more effective pen/drug is in testing (trials).

      It’s because it is a subcutaneous injection. This means it goes into the subcut space just under the skin. Due to the frequency of subcut injections regardless of if it’s ozempic or anything else the alcohol wipe will actually do more damage to your skin over time so it isn’t a requirement. Anything that sit on your skin around your stomach won’t do much harm to your body in that space. The only time they alcohol wipe the skin is if it’s going into the muscle or if it is visibly dirty. I’m studying to be a nurse and I was equally as shocked when I found out
