This carrier can only sail in a calm sea, if the wave is rough, the bow will be bopping up and down so violently that aircraft can't take off or land.

Go for artifical Islands in Indian Ocean region which act as unsinkable Aircraft carrier.
Carriers are mean to project power near enemy shores with air strikes enemy coastline. Are you gonna build artificial islands in south china sea? Even if your idea make any sense then how you gonna build island in international waters?
@@atharvzemse6599 You are talking about blue water Navy, like USA, we never aspired to be a blue water navy(beyond our back yard) with just 2 carrier's.
Our Doctrine is to show superiority in IOR but not beyond that for that purpose artifical Islands with toe 40,000 tons class carriers are sufficient.
I recommend India to build 2 more Vikrant class carriers and then start building a large deck carrier in order to cover all their bases quickly.

I always thought aircraft carriers were for power projection. What is the use-case for Indian carriers?
the ridiculously small aircraft lifts on the starboard side of the Vikrant class iHYBRId® FEP powered 46,392 ton (52,055 ton loaded) multi mission (STOBAR) aircraft carrier INS Vikrant (R11) needs to be bigger, way much bigger . . . and this will require major modifications to both the 36.0 ton aircraft lifts & starboard side STOBAR flight deck . . . this means additional non-budgeted costs due to the modifications but there's no other way to fix this either . . . the navy should induct the navalized carrier borne Tejas Mk2M maritime multi role fighter interceptor . . . the carrier borne Tejas Mk2M maritime multi role fighter interceptor will feature folding wings & strengthened front & rear landing gear for STOBAR aircraft carrier operations . . . not to mention the naval carrier borne MIG-29KE maritime multi role fighter interceptor . . .
this carrier is only meant for fighter aircraft, it is not meant to carry larger planes like awacs, like the american carriers.

@@chandrachurniyogi8394 the navy does not depend on luck when it designs the lift of the aircraft carrier, if the aircraft does not fit even with the wings folded then the aircraft can be made to fit diagonally.
@@Apocalypse9696 nobody said anything about luck . . . why should the navy go through all that trouble of positioning the jet diagonally on those small aircraft lifts every time the jet is moved to & from the below deck hangar??? name one aircraft carrier in history where carrier borne jets were positioned diagonally on the aircraft lift . . . besides if you position the jet diagonally how do you take it out on to the flight deck or the hangar from the aircraft lift??? because the margin between the jet positioned on the lift & the extremities of the lift's small size is very very thin . . . i don't know why the navy accepted such small aircraft lifts on the carrier but i do know there's a reason behind such a decision . . . so that's where we hold our faith with our beloved navy . . . afterall this is the Indian Navy for crying out loud . . .
We need capable submarines, long range heavy bombers and fighters to take on almost 10 Chinese supercarriers equipped with 5th generation fighters and drones in the near future.
A potent 3rd or 4th carrier is no match for 10 Chinese supercarriers.
We have to adopt the same strategy of the Soviets when they faced similar predicament against US navy with large fleet of supercarriers.

Aircraft carriers are needed by expeditionary forces to attack far away countries or to protect global trade interests.
India does not have global economic interests neither is it going to attack distant foreign nations.
Aircraft carriers also need several support vessels which add to the cost.
India's shores will be far better defended by potent maritime bombers and fighters, anti ship missiles and submarines.
Indian navy should go for LCA Navy as stop gap and save forex reserves.
What's the use of a carrier if it doesn't have fighter aircraft on board .
