    In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens czcams.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

    This the best video on Lowrance products I've seen yet. Thank you for posting. Have you done a video covering the hds live units?

    Good info. Be nice if you could video so that the size of E FS screen is larger.. or closer for improved vision.../ proved video. All good though.

    Thank you for the demo. I really like this unit for the fish finder abilities but Garmin Echomap has a much better chartplotter. I really wish Lowrance was as good. I would buy it instantly.

      @AquaLifestyle  Před 2 lety

      Echomap charting is excellent. You may want to check out the new Simrad NSX. It offers some awesome cartography with the new C-Map Discover X and Reveal X, if you want something other than Garmin. We will have videos on that unit posting soon.

    11:10 i hate how we cant add more depth filters or even change the names. Two just isnt enough and being software, you'd think they wouldn't restrict it.

    Just wondering my old lowrance elite had a SIM card with my waypoints, is there a way to take the info off the SIM card and input it my new Elite FS unit ? I am so happy with the videos you guys are doing great job with explaining,because the manual is horrible 🤯 for reading and the illustrations suck .

    • @AquaLifestyle
      @AquaLifestyle  Před 2 lety

      Yes, if the data is already saved to a micro SD card you can insert it into the SD card slot under the Lowrance logo on your Elite FS. Once inserted go to the home screen, select storage, select SD card, select the file your waypoints are on, select import. The files will be saved on the hard drive of the unit and the SD card can be removed.

      @@AquaLifestyle how do I save a spot where I caught fish and how do I save where I launched from and follow the back when it’s time to go in?also can I pair this unit with a motor guide trolling motor? So I get all the features.

    I have a trail question. When going slow my trail line is huge from the pointer and just a little ways back. Beyond that it is a normal pencil line. When going fast the large area goes away and I get the normal pencil line trail from the rear of the pointer. How can I fix this.

    • @AquaLifestyle
      @AquaLifestyle  Před 3 lety

      I currently don't have a unit I can check this with but I believe there is a speed threshold setting that can be adjusted. A call to Lowrance's tech line while in front of the unit should enable them to walk you though it. The number is 1-800-628-4487 un the US and 011 61 2 9936 1000 elsewhere.

    Example: You start in Boston and end in Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vinyard? Would it automatically set the route or do you have to put in a bunch of waypoints?

    • @AquaLifestyle
      @AquaLifestyle  Před 3 lety

      If you have your tracks set to record a track while underway you can pull that track up and direct the chart plotter to reverse the track back to your starting point. You can also use it to formally create a route using points along the track.

    I'm looking at an elite fs 7 chart plotter and I want it to show my 2021 Yamaha outboard motor gauges but it doesn't specify in the fs7 manual that it can do this? It just says supports nmae but the fs9 manual actually says it does support it

    • @AquaLifestyle
      @AquaLifestyle  Před 2 lety

      The Elite FS will support NMEA 2000 data from Yamaha engines. There are 2 ways to get the data to the screen. You will need to set up a NMEA 2000 backbone on the boat if there is not one present and you will need a Yamaha engine interface or gateway. Navico makes an interface cable but it will only give you vital data and their preloaded graphics. If you purchase the Yamaha gateway there will be more Yamaha components needed and it will give you full Yamaha data/integration to the screen. The link below shows the Navico part and information.

    Hi. I have an Elite 9 Ti. Is there a way to have only the chart up, but show the current depth (from the sonar)?

    • @AquaLifestyle
      @AquaLifestyle  Před 2 lety +1

      You can have a custom window with the the depth displaying. Refer to page 25 in the manual "Data Overlay" and it will explain how to do it.

    • @AquaLifestyle

      It does depending on the charts loaded on or in the display. Accessible through the Depth Palette and Shading options in the menu.

    can you tie in autopilot with that unit?

      Yes you can. It even has an autopilot controller feature. Check with Lowrance for compatibility.
