Such a wonderful puzzle, and it's great seeing you think about it while solving it!
I really like the idea of a spherical Rubic's Cube type puzzle contained within a spherical shell with holes. It may be more annoying to manipulate, but it offers the designer complete freedom over the element shapes without worrying about the mechanism required to hold them together.

Cubastic is not really the person Evgeny. CUBASTIC is Evgeny's english editor. Not to be rude, but both of them are getting paid for us watching this, if this is plagiarism this channel has been taken down long ago. Cubastic has a contract with evgeny for making his videos translated in English to widen the viewers. And guess what? Cubastic has more viewers than the untranslated videos.
It is the same person doing both, only with a translator helping dub these videos into English and a third channel with a dub into Spanish. all his own work (plus the translators) follow his instagram and you will see. He is very open about both channels
