      @@capsulamental As someone who is 4'11", i actually look taller with the long skirt and oversized sweater. it's because of the vertical lines it creates. it definitely doesn't make me look skinner tho lol

    I liked the second “don’t”, the loose grey v neck sweater with the black skirt. had a sort of retro look, like an art teacher in the 90s or sort of a 1920s silhouette. to each their own

      You would definitely have to lean into that !! I think a fun patterned top that creates a waist paired with a long loose cardigan would work beautifully (a classic!). And of course a long and bold necklace or big scarf to complete the look 🙌😆
      Or you could go all out with the boxy silhouette and get a long loose sweater that has big shoulders like the 80s 😳

      It only works if the sweater is super oversized in all areas (like lowered shoulders etc). The shirt she showed in the video as an example just didn’t work with the skirt. I personally really like to wear oversized hoodies with pleated skirts, especially if they’re in colors that balance each other (e.g. bright pink with cream)

      It looks inelegantly and makes look fat because of too wide outfit. Rule is to show legs or upper part of body, never cover both, never show both but this outfit cover both so it looks unpleasnt.

      @@alcookie I think it's fine, I like it personally. But it depends on your body type, not everything looks good on everyone. Personally I'd never wear it because it never looks good on me, but it can look great on other people. Styling tips help but they're not absolute, they can still work for different people and similar pieces.

      Yeah, dress according to your body! These "tips" are only good for those with similar body shapes. I'd suggest looking deeper into the fashion community to find someone that looks similar to you! There are tons of good channels out there with great tips 😄

      for inverted triangle, try to use A line skirt to create balance. use dark colors for your tops and light colors for your bottoms to create illusion. Avoid shoulder pads and tops that reveal your shoulder since it's going to make your shoulder wider than it supposed to be. Also try to take Kibbe body type quiz so you can understand more about your body and what kind of outfit you should wear

      Honestly go full out, embrace your broader shoulders and get into bigger jackets and squares. Of course I slid headfirst across the gender scale when I did it so to each their own

    I have long skinny legs and wide shoulders. If I throw on a large blaser like the one in the video, I'll totally look like a chupa-chups lol
    To each their own. We all have different bodies and all look different in the same outfit. So I hope that all the queens out there will not take those videos too seriously and wear whatever makes them feel beautiful, confident and comfortable.

      Same. I'm short and while I can and do wear some loose clothes, styling in in the way she did 1st shirt (too much loose in the front + put into skirt/pants) only makes me look short and fat... and I'm not even fat at all.

      @@lara-xb9dk Nope, it's more of her figure than being skinny. I am skinny, and can and do wear some loose clothes, but if I style it in that way (tucked into skirt/pants + too much loose around waist) I STILL manage to look fat and shapeless.

    The 2nd tho you could wear the sweater inside the skirt at the front, Koreans do tend to do full oversize looks and they slay. I think the problem are the boots

      Curvy can be skinny/slim. Skinny doesn't automatically mean a stick :'D.
      If you mean chubby then it's sadly little trickier, as a chubby girl I love wearing oversized tops and tight bottoms.

      I'm petite with a curvy figure and I know all the baggy styles she promotes would just make me look simultaneously bigger and like I'm drowning in them. I would only take her advice if I had a similar body type (and liked het style)

      Honestly something like a wide neck sleeveless silk blouse 👚 loose not form fitting or a man's style silk shirt. Just make sure it's oversized and boxy not too short sleeved or else will look secretariat

    I think it’s very hard to do fashion tips these days especially when there are so many different body types and colourings as well as personal preferences to consider. I think instead of naming them fashion tips it’s better to repurpose them as ‘How I dress’ and ‘Fashion Looks I Enjoy’.
    That also avoids the whole ‘Just Wear What You Want’ dilemma.

    The pleated skirt will look great with a cropped sweater if you want a 90’s look. If it’s too hot out , ditch the blazer and opt to pair a dressy or casual T shirt with your mini skirt. Keep the heels 👌🏽

    Do's of fashion: wear whatever you like and feel comfortable in, sometimes you'll have clothes that are gonna be in fashion again in near future so rarely have to buy new clothes

    I wear all my skirts nearly the same way, most of my skirts are high waisted, some are a-line and others are maxi skirts, and almost all of my shirts are relatively tight fitting. Im short and nothing makes me look shorter or taller… 😅

    some of yall acting like you HAVE to do whatever she said about do’s and dont’s😭 yeah you can wear what you want and how you want, but it’s always nice to know how different patterns and textures suit each other or what suits your body type the best. same with makeup, you can do what you like but knowing basic will never fail you.
    you won’t be caught by fashion police just because you wore something “not by the rule”, but acting like basics and simple rules are useless in fashion is silly
