27:00 The same thing happened to me when I was doing the cazador with tin grenades challenge. I figured out that it was because I got the kill with my last grenade, and when you use your last grenade of a given type it unequips you, so you're technically not holding anything when the grenade goes off and I guess that stops it from registering that you used the right weapon. Fallout gonna Fallout I guess.

Ah, but you see, the whole run happened in a Demo's drunk stupor and he's still sleeping with his face covered in dirt right outside of Goodsprings Saloon.
Running around as Demoman slinging explosives at the enemy while drunk is a pretty wild ride. But it wouldn't be done if you were a bad Demoman. And Fish going more and more mad as the run gets more and more unhinged is hilarious. He really is becoming like the Demoman.
Sniper will be fun, especially using the Anti-Material Rifle and possibly hunting down every faction leader and killing them because "Snipin's a good job, mate!"

If I were to guess on the dynamite, the game occasionally checks for the weapon last in your hand. Since it was nothing, the game didn’t count it. It’s how some people do the Crackerjack Timing achievement without using the actual weapons

I love to imagine that demoman is just that much of a threat that scout, spy, and heavy can't intimidate the legion and NCR to the point of them wanting nothing to do with you and still being cool with you in fear that you'll just place down 50 explosives and make them go gone.

As for the reputation thing, one playthrough, I has my reputation with the legion seemingly wrap around several times, if the in game alerts were to be believed. Killed a bunch of legion, rep goes to zero. Kill a bunch more later, it starts dropping to zero... again? Not sure if faction armor was involved.

Ya know there’s a mod script out there that allows you to give the courier custom quips & dialogue during gameplay (I used a Postal Dude version once).

Assuming you can survive the experience, for the Soldier run you can get an NCR uniform, a Combat Helmet, and a Missile Launcher pretty much immediately in Black Mountain. I think for extra rules you should probably avoid working with the NCR military. He was rejected from every branch after all.
Considering Demoman is canonically cursed and haunted by the Bombinomicon, we can just say the weirdness of this run was just the results of that.
Also when you get to the Medic, you need to have a companion as your Heavy and give them a minigun

hey fish idk if you're gonna see this, but i know why the two bugs in this run happened based on my own experiences.
starting with the challenge to kill 5 deathclaws with dynamite, the stick you threw damaged another deathclaw in the process, and this deathclaw didn't die. it looks like there's a problem with the scripting where if you kill something for a challenge, but your weapons somehow damages something else at the same time without killing it, the game prioritizes the thing that didn't die, and in turn won't count. this is why the switchblade and boxing tape challenges counted, but the dynamite didn't.
as for the faction reputation bug, as i understand it, it occurs when you're wearing faction armor for one faction in the game, but gain enough rep to transition to the next/previous level of another. (such as going from smiling troublemaker to good natured rascal or unpredictable) basically, at some point in the playthrough, you fucked yourself by seemingly completing a quest that awarded a large amount of fame or infamy with one faction while you were still wearing your powder ganger guard armor.
