If a proposed subdivision will negatively impact public services, then such activity should be taxed at a level needed to cover the cost of infrastructure improvements.

When my family and I moved here in the 70’s,there was one of those near our house and a man would get out in the pond in a small Jon boat and stir it up. Then I guess it was the county put in some electrical stirring blades then later built a plant down the road but the thing is there is a company that built a building on the site of the pond.

The solution is pretty simple: you make the developers pay most of the cost of upgrades upfront for future tax concessions. They get to build, you get your infrastructure. Its a harmonious balance.

It’s called neglect. And the people that are watching it are guilty of neglect.

Is it ‘remarkable’ that they sent state employees out to check all 360 site when the intent - and it is already beginning, do your research- is to eminent domain private farms to start new facilities?
How many yards and farms across the state were ‘ponding’ this year for a duration during or after these major rain events? Photos were obviously taken during times of limited green growth, like winter.
If the concern is to protect waterways, why is the intent to take land on creeks and rivers to have access to areas of flushing with chemicals that have little long term studies?
Past time to share all sides.

Failing infrastructure due to unplanned population growth.
Solution: Let thousands of illegal immigrants into the country, and increase the population further.
And what are the presidential candidates focusing on? Making tip wages untaxed income.

These are the kind of issues that our elected Republicans won't and/or can't deal with. Their "solution" is always to turn this kind of thing over to privatization, but no Limited Liability Company is going to do what's right or necessary to protect either the environment or the communities this impacts. This is a management issue that requires funding and cooperation, and Republicans can't govern, let alone lead; especially when they have no interest in service or conservation. They'd rather sell everything off to rich out-of-town developers and pocket whatever they can get out of the deal. This is unacceptable.
Vote them out. Elect people who actually want to do the work and find real solutions that actually serve the public. We're lucky to have the lands we have here. We need to invest in protecting and preserving them, for families, farmers, and the nature that makes this state the beautiful place that it is.
Stop letting Republicans sell everything off to the highest bidder. Stop letting them chop down all our trees, dig up all our fields, and demolish all of our historic landmarks.
Stop letting them turn all of our countryside into shopping centers, subdivisions, and waste dumps. Tennessee deserves better!
Vote Blue and save our State from the robber barons and carpet baggers!

People supposedly voted blue, and it has been a disaster for this country for nearly four years. The only argument dems make is fake environmental concerns, abortion and “me no like Trump because he say mean things”. You think the country is in a bad condition now, just wait and see what would happen if blue gets their way.

Tennessee needs to break the fever of right wing nuts in the state house. We've had enough craziness violence divisive politics of a party that has lost its mind. Good luck to the good people of Tennessee
