Tune In (To Where We're Going)

The call echoed off of the walls of a large room located at the end of a long hallway. Wandering down this path, The Listener never stopped to consider if the call was coming from something dangerous. One thing was clear to The Listener. This call was meant for them, specifically. As they approached the room it became apparent that the call wasn’t a call at all. It was a message - “Tune In…Tune In…” The room flashed with a deep red light, blinding The Listener. Out of a large ceremonial pool, the impression of a human face started to ascend into the air. The Listener did not fear the face, for they knew it meant no harm. The being resembled a tribal mask. However, it was clear that it did not have an owner. Gradually, The Listener realized that they could no longer move as the mask became fixated on their gate. “Tune In…Tune In To Where We Are Going,” said the mask. The room flashed again as it ascended further up in the room disappearing in the shadows. The pool began to slowly drain revealing a staircase.
