After the first weekend of the Smite2 Alpha i have played for 23 hours and these are my thoughts.

I agree the art style isn’t 100% there yet but I think it’ll just take time to get better.

Real solid views. Honestly from my 10-12 hours of gameplay I was getting similar things. My biggest gripe was going def playing as Ymir. The sound made it nearly impossible to play. Good vid
I enjoyed Ymir a lot (imo hes way too strong in solo and support early game) my only issue with him was i wish i could start my ice carpet while in the air

I've always thought beads and aegis were awful. It's like oh you put yourself in an awful position, just mitigate 2 seconds worth of damage. HATE IT
I do think there is some skill to it as the enemy team can track the info and so it add more skill to the opposing team. And i do think these options are needed. But in modern smite beads being upgradable for free is abit much and smite 2 well i discussed that already. I do understand the option
The minions disapearing when i used kuku tornadoes lol its like the ability launched them off the map, i didnt get the gold for them either, they just disapeared😂😂
Minions occasionally tp. One of my friends was killed in mid by adc Zeus because they tpd with chain lightning
i just hope they change merlin's passive in smite 2 to something more useful, such a great character but that smite 1 passive is ass
I'm not a fan of merlin myself but I'm excited to see what they will do with their new found freedom in smite2
Smite players: "we want less cc in the game"
Smite devs: give ymir even more cc with a knock up and anubis wrap does damage now because why not lol
in fairness to the wrap dealing dmg it seems their plan in Smite 2 is to make every character "OP". However not addressing the CC issue is goofy.
@BN_BearsMOBA yeah and it scales off his strength not even int so it's pretty troll unless you think crit anubis is gonna be meta
@@mrdhong2143 i mean the fact that it does damage at all means it can proc on ability hit effects and any damage is some damage so its not as meme as it seems at first glance

i didnt like smite 2 alpha at all
as someone who also has 7k in smite and now close to 500hr in lol i can say that smite 1 always has felt better with counter play and balance.....in smite 1 you know what type of damage someone is going to do by looking at the character and or class (adc mid supp jung solo) and now that theres scaling with both thats gone and i hate that, i feel like its just going to end up like from everyone i talk with and hear from where in lol its ranged top thats looked down apon and in smite its magical jung or solo thats terrible to play against. also as a ps4-5 player the game menus were bad. i feel like as a community we told hirez that new shop was ass for us so they gave us the option of the old shop or the new one but then here we are again with the new one and no one is going to talk about it because its old news and they wouldnt lie to us right??? And my last gripe is i feel like smite is looking at lol and trying to copy there success and i hate that most of the new stuff they are doing has been in lol for a long time and i hate how now its just going to end up as a 3rd person lol. i had high hopes for smite 2 and i played it for as much as i could but it just donsnt feel like smite it feels like the body is there but the soul and meaning is gone.
lol it’s not smite… yeah it’s smite 2. If the art doesn’t change it’s just a glorified update.
art style doesnt correlate to graphics, Fortnite is Cartoony and is running UE5 and with ray tracing and lumen etc, same thing could have been done with smite 2 keep the cartoon feeling while adding all those UE5 Features missing in Smite 1 on UE3
