QLD were a class above the rest during this period with the likes of Inglis. Eight series in a row!! A period known as the "Dynasty". Billy Slater as fullback, Darren Lockyer pairing with Johnathon Thurston in the halves, Cameron Smith at lock. These guys weren't just players, they were leaders controlling the game. A lot of these guys played in the junior ranks together before rising into the professional competition. A lot of these guys got spread out to play in different clubs across the country, Origin means a team where they could link together and link up with old friends.

Greg was actually born and raised in New South Wales! He wanted to play for Queensland because NSW don't have a good record at picking or treating Indigenous players well. So he moved to Qld to finish high school and played up here so he was eligible to represent the Maroons..... and NSW has whinged ever since! 😂 He was amazing to watch, incredible skill, strength and speed!
That's not correct. He was recruited to Queensland. The rule was that you played for whichever state you played your first senior game (U16s).... He was at Hunter Sports High School for U16s so should have played for NSW. John Ribot (Melbourne Storm Founder) introduced him to Mal Meninga who recruited him by feeding him a bullshit story that QLD look after Indigenous player more than NSW. Ribot spoke of it and said that they will get him to play in Origin at 18 for QLD before he was on NSW's radar and expected the ARL would be too inept to check his background as no one had ever tried this. Debatable because it was being discussed on ABC Grandstand years ago and one of the people who was involved in QRL said that it was Greg's parents who made the decision for him to go to Q'ld and therefore be able to play Origin. They apparently felt that he had more opportunities in the Queensland system. He was a great player but could also be lazy, hiding behind the play the ball knowing that he would not get the ball. This was very evident late in his career when he was not playing well enough and should not have been selected for Origin. @@darrynhatfield1763

Greg Inglis is a native indigenous player and a Queensland player boys always play with spirit and pride down here well we are deep in our culture and heart and soul proud of our culture most Native cultures have pride but as one of the hard tough countries on this planet we just do it better and Aboriginal players were better, people consider Greg the Goanna Inglis or G.i to the best player ever height strength and wicked speed to big to powerful and in the NRL speed is the best weapon ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

At the end of the video there were two big hits. The first one was against turbo. In 2021 Turbo won the dally m or player of the year award. He won man of the series in state of origin and also got best individual try of the year and also best team try of the year. He arguably had won of the most individually dominant seasons ever by a player.

Bro, heads up, don't mention it as Rugby, people refer to Rugby as Rugby Union, there are 2 codes or 2 different games. Call it Rugby league, not Rugby. I know ya'll American so you kind of don't know but that's all good.

Hey mate...... In regards to the "low bouncing kick" question, the kick is referred to as a "grubber" kick and are really quite simple to master even with an NFL football.
The technique...... Hold the ball either side and point the tip towards the ground. You then kick the top half of the ball when punting with the top of your foot...... I hope thatakes sense

I love your passion for our game. Could I ask please that you stress this isn’t rugby but rugby LEAGUE. We broke away from rugby in 1895 about when American football did too.
Rugby LEAGUE is a far more dynamic sport than rugby which is dying off here in Australia as LEAGUE has streamlined the game.

Mate, here's what I suggest.
Your Rugby League videos get way more views than the rest. I say focus in on that. Your brand can be the American guy who is slowly learning the game over time, giving an outsider's perspective, though slowly becoming an insider. People will watch it. Your audience will grow. Do a weekly review of the weekend's games. Maybe start with the highlights, but go more in depth as time goes on. Watch a few games a round. Pick a team, but remain impartial in your analysis. We're heading into finals, so it's the perfect time to focus. Also, don't worry about "showing the bros". Your beginner's analysis was way more entertaining than just watching your mate stand in the background.
Just my 2 cents, but I feel like you've got a real opportunity here.

Greg Inglis is a rugby league player, not a rugby player, what you are watching is a rugby league game, not a rugby game, confusing for you I know, but there are two forms of the sport,
Rugby = rugby union
And rugby league which is what you have been watching from the past few videos you made, similar but different, rugby league is the superior choice

You sir are banned from planet earth. Union is almost as boring as AFL and only slightly less than cricket. NRL IS light years better than union. Good to see you like our game, but it has been tamed down a lot and I still have issues with them making up new rules that are frustrating to follow, and the certainly use these rules to favour particular teams in the competition. But there are still good games played but nothing can beat the great..STATE OF ORIGIN… Queensland V New South Wales
