Reliving The War takes an in-depth look at the WWF vs WCW / Raw vs Nitro "Monday Night War". Each match and segment is looked at individually to determine which show was truly the best each and every week.
The WWF just presented "Revenge of the Taker" and Stone Cold Steve Austin is determined to finish what he started at the PPV. On this week's episode of Raw, Austin calls out Bret Hart and the two agree to a Street Fight. The Hart Foundation organize an ambush on Stone Cold but with help from Shawn Michaels, Steve is able to turn things around and the street fight doesn't end well for Bret. The Undertaker battles Triple H in the Raw main event.
On Monday Nitro, the new Director of the WCW Executive committee gets announced; JJ Dillon. Dillon arrives to Monday Nitro with news about Eric Bischoff's current position within the company. Kevin Nash cuts his famous "potholes" promo where he talks about how guys like Ric Flair and Roddy Piper left the wrestling business in bad condition for the young guys, and Syxx has a match this week against Rey Mysterio Jr. The nWo welcome back an original member at the end of the show.

Steve Austin and Gorilla Monsoon bickering was always entertaining.
Gorilla- "you're outta control."
Austin-"you damn right and I ain't through yet."
Gorilla- "I need you to get your ass outta here."
Austin-"nobody talks to me like that!"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah a predecessor to Austin VS McMahon.
"I can't wait to skip Rockabilly's matches"
Is a t-shirt I'd wear
I love the number of callbacks, the inside jokes those who closely follow the series would recognize. Great stuff as always and send some funny pack treats, we all need a boost
The "Shawn Michaels fanny pack" had me legit LOL. That explains it alright. Anyway, glad you could get this video up. My family and I moved last year around this time, and while it wasn't far, it was a legit pain in the arse. I don't envy you having to do that. Horsemen business comes first, to take your time if you need to.
7000 👍's for the fake Double J's new tune!!
Fanny Pack? WB should know that here in the UK, we call it a Bum Bag mate!
Here we go again, thank you WrestlingBio's.
I think the Dungeon of Doom has their own scales. Ming got his manly meter, Jacqueline has her womanly meter, the others got their tag team meter, and Jimmy got his managerial meter. But Kevin Sullivan has the most powerful meter, he got the creative control meter.
Sullivan has the TOO LEGIT TO QUIT meter :-)
MC Kevin Hammer
Meng. Not Ming. Although, "Meng the Merciless" would be funny.
Bunny hop height meter
@@markjonovitch1093 --- I DON'T THINK HE REALIZED HOW AWFULLY DUMB HE SOUNDED-- HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HEEL AND HAVE A STABLE OF HEELS-- TO LEGIT TO QUIT-- IS SOMETHING A BABYFACE WOULD SAY & TRY AND GET THE CROWD TO CHANT IT WITH THEM.
That Jeff Jarrett part had me dying great job lol
Bro! Your comedic personality has evolved more than DDP's character in 1996. I find myself laughing for nearly 30 straight minutes this week. Great video!
I forgot about Hall's return, that was awesome to see. Honestly, love to relieve some of these early NWO days. Definitely lots of missteps but I still remember getting excited about it as a teenager.
Bret throwing up the double birds while getting put in the sharpshooter is so funny to me.
@@thebandit0256 hahaha top comment
Yeah, it's kinda like he was saying, if you're gonna use my favorite move, I'm gonna use your favorite hand gesture 😂😂😂😂😂
Amazing promo by Kevin Nash, he was saying the truth. On the other hand I remember that Piper's reply next week will be great too. You can tell that they had some heat. Of course the same goes for Scott Hall, I remember that he's going to call Piper and Flair Dinosaurs on his next promo. This feud is brilliant.
Gotta credit this series for helping me revisit just how good Nash was in this period. Even the promo he cut at the commentary table teasing nWo tension was great and the fact that it seemed like things got cut at the knees was shame. Some of Nash's promo work had serious hints of a tweener/antihero role for his character, this far ahead of the Wolfpac.
@@Mrryn It started for Kevin when he was in the WWF as Diesel. The night after Survivor Series 1995 when he started a tweener/antihero role until he turned on Shawn Michaels before WrestleMania XII. I always loved when Kevin Nash was a badass. Whether it was as Diesel or the first year and a half of the nWo.
Now my Thursday can begin.
Really great shows week in and week out in 97, what a difference 80 weeks makes!
97, the best year ever in pro wrestling.
Next week's Raw has a special place in my heart. It was in my hometown and it was first wrestling show I ever got to go to live. And through what can only be called luck my mom got got floor tickets on the hard cam side. Hell my dad can even been seen on camera for a second during Bret Hart's promo
Same for me except my situation was this week.
Thanks Wrestling Bios for giving me a little bit of joy on an otherwise crappy day.
The HHH vs Undertaker match is one of the more underrated matches of theirs
NO WAY Vince would EVER have THAT as a Wrestlemania match...
If only that Raw main event would have included Taker and Triple H kicking out of their finishers followed by them lying on the mat most of the time, then it could have been a classic!
That was pretty good
these 40 minutes really fly by, when it’s quality content
Nash’s promo was top notch. Austin beating Bret on the stretcher was classic.
I was at the April 28th 97 episode of Raw. My first ever show. If you need any crowd perspectives let me know. Brian Pillman came out preshow to antagonize the crowd for heat before the opening segment
Bro, you don't know how much this series means to me and many others. Thanks again for getting this done despite your busy schedule.
Get the next episode out whenever you can; don't worry about it. Everyone should be satisfied with the "Horseman business will take me away pretty soon" line :)
Thanks for getting this out! Good luck with the move; hope everything looks smoothly for ya!
This had to be hard work to get this done in time. Thank you for getting this out there. This series is such amazing work.
As far as taking a week off I'm just super excited for how often we get these so if we miss a week cuz of some good ol' Horseman(tm) Business I won't mind.
this Raw episode is pretty historic because it was the first episode written by vince russo.
I read that somewhere too, but I also read that his first one was actually a couple weeks earlier.
I never realized that the Dungeon of Doom lasted as long as it did. This is supposed to be the peak of WCW's dominant and yet Sullivan is still clowning around.
I was expecting a week off, THANK YOU for cranking it out! 🙏
Yes another Thursday reliving the war episode 👏👏👏. I anticipate this more then the football game tonight
Austin and Bret, really what an awesome rivalry, wish it lasted even longer, just good stuff.
Man nitro being 30 minutes away from my house and I didn't go. This was a few months before I got back into wrestling but if I would've known about it I would've went. Not surprised that a fight happened in the stands. That's Saginaw for you. A pretty tough town especially in the mid to late nineties
Going too miss this.. take care I await your return big man
Glacier made us wait for months so he can wait for a minute🤣🤣🤣
Thank god for Shawn’s fanny pack, looks like it’s given us a quick bump of another excellent episode.
Karen style lol
That's where he keeps his nose cola
In San Francisco fanny pack is a verb.
A "quick bump"
...I see what you did there
I don’t “do” cocaine, I just like the way it smells.
Thank you for your consistent content in the midst of a busy time, it is very much appreciated!
Thanks Wrestling Bio's. Had to buy the "Horsemen Business 24:7" t-shirt. Priceless.
Hope you finish your "Horsemen Business" soon.
Another great episode.
Oh wow, I wasnt expecting this one to be out so quick. Good job getting this one out man.
'Glacier made us wait so he can wait a minute' that killed me
That intro. I so miss this era of just life itself. I’m so happy I found this channel.
This Rock-a-billy seems like quite the wrestler, I guess he went on too dominate this era of wrestling! 👀
Imagine being a 6-year-old watching this, and it inspires you to become a wrestler. So you work very hard, get to the top, and get handed a piece of paper telling you that your job tonight is to clap and cheer for a dementia ridden billionaire holding a golden egg.
Eggs get sports entertainers over, pal! Just look at Hector Guerrero
Welcome to Thursday Afternoon Reliving the War. Thanks as always for the excellent work and trip down memory lane
I've literally have never watched a series of CZcams videos prior to this and I'm so happy i have tuned in . Waiting anxiously every week for a new episode
On behalf of everyone who watches these videos , thank you for putting them out .
The best part of that Vader incident is Taker just sitting there straight faced the entire time 😂
Much appreciated wrestling bios wasn’t expecting the reliving the war series
I’m absolutely THRILLED to see this episode on my timeline. Gotta conduct the horseman business and pumped to hear the Shawn Michaels Fanny pack energy
You magnificent bastard! Thank you! Firing this up with a cuppa. Let the mayhem begin
WE ARE reliving THE WAR featuring @WrestlingBios
🌟👏🌟🌟👏🌟👏👏
Always more Entertaining than a 3 Hour Episode of WWE Monday Night Raw … 👀
Hater
He's just telling truth
@@dmichael1172 no, he's not. Miz vs Edge, Seth vs Big E vs Owens, Becky vs Liv, Austin push, Mysterios vs Hurt Business, Zelina & Carmella vs Rhea & Nikki, Bianca vs Doudrop Natalya Tamina, RKBRO dominating the tag team division. This is very entertaining.
My man is watching both raw and nitro, writing scripts, editing videos, and is also the only employee of his own moving company and still popped out a video on time. Tf is in that fanny pack
Answer to your question.... the good sh!t 😂😂😂
And I need a good hit of it
Thank you WB, we appreciate you bustin ur ass to get out content for the community. It’s why you are a top draw content creator, ur work ethic & drive, along with ur appreciation for ur fans, are unmatched! Cheers mate, hope ur house move is goin smoothly!
i got chills at the part when they threw up the Kliq sign and Scott walked out. I wasn't even into wrestling back then!
My Favorite part of the week....PayCheck night and Reliving the War on Wrestling Bios
You sir are a youtube legend, cheers and thank you for the video!
Still watching all of these in order I know I'm very late to this but this really helps the time go by at work! Great stuff!
The WrestlingBios channel was recently mentioned on the Cornette Drive Thru
We made it boys
Loving it
Love the fake JJ's new theme tune it sounds truly amazing also love watching your channel your videos are way more entertaining and informative than certain other channels and can't wait to see episode 81.
Another awesome video from the greatest wrestling channel on the planet.
Both Nitro and Raw were awesome this week.
Although Nash made many good points during his promo. He was a little hypocritical. As not only would he become one of the wrestlers on top who no one could get over. He was also a huge part of the NWO. Which was obviously Hogans group. They weren’t putting anyone over at the time.
I think a fight between Shamrock and Tyson. Would have been good and would have drawn big money. However with it “having to be in a WWF ring” if it had gone ahead it’s very unlikely it would have been a legit MMA VS Boxer fight. I remember it being spoke about back in the day however.
I would have also liked to have seen Bret VS Shawn at King Of The Ring 97, had Shawn put Bret over, it be interesting to see how this would change the whole course of things. Especially at Survivor Series 97.
Everybody always talk about how the rock went from bein rocky maivia to the rock but billy gunn and road dogg also went from 2 guys nobody care about to bein súper over as the outlaws
Awesome episode 💯 both companies were on fire during this time in the spring of ' 97 and I was enjoying both I miss these days 💪
SWEET!!! I didn't even realize it was Thursday! Thanks for making my day!
Get that horseman business done bro we will be here waiting for new uploads.
Best time of the week! Woop woop!
I still like undertaker's reaction when Vader went crazy. Just relaxed taking it in
Bro. I hit that like before you finished the monologue. The fact that we’re to the point of inside jokes makes me so happy. Have a safe move. I know it sucks lol
A unexpected Reliving the War was exactly what my day needed. Oh,Hell YEAH!!! 🤘🤘🤘
I can’t express my gratitude enough for you grinding through watching all of these shows and making these videos. I legitimately can’t wait for the next one each time!
Never clicked faster thanks for keeping them coming
Awesome episode as usual 🤙
I can't get enough of this series.
Glad for this video I just finished the process of moving multiple states away so I feel your pain and admire you still getting content out
Oh my goodness Brother...
That was a damned spicy RTW.
Love it. 👍
Thank you so much for putting in the extra time for us buddy, really love the show and channel and I wasn't expecting this after the update. Top notch.
The whole with my baby segment in the video is classic 🔥🔥🤣🤣🤣‼️
I been waiting for this one, this brings back memories for me. This raw was the first time I saw stone cold and I was like, who the hell is this crazy S.O.B.? ahhhh good times
I'm high on a balcony in Cambodia trying to explain to my wife why wrestling bios is the best wrestling channel. Become a patreon and will try to support as much as possible. Genuinely the only show I look forward to watching and if I can help as much as I can I will. You deserve our money more than Vince!
Nick Patrick gives me Major Kenny Powers vibes. Especially with the stache and rocking the cutoff ref shirt
Today was a sad day, today is the day I've caught up on reliving the war and now have to wait for the next
Absolute legend for getting this out on time with all the real world stuff going on. Fantastic content as always. Keep up the great work 👍
Another great episode!! Thanks for all you do with these videos.
Wasn't expecting this after the recent update video but definitely welcome. Still the best wrestling channel on youtube. Would be cool if you made it to 83 weeks in a row for obvious reasons but definitely take time off if needed.
May the Mystical Fanny Pack ensure the Horseman business is successful. Kick or be kicking. Thanks for powering through and getting this episode out on schedule.
This is by far the best wrestling show on CZcams at the moment. Great stuff, keep it up!
Shamrock vs. Tyson? Now THAT'S a dream match!
From Saginaw Michigan. We are happy to have you.
I have only discovered this series this past couple of weeks and I don't know how I've not seen it sooner!!
Now I am going to have to live in the dark ages watching week by week after binging it all to this point!!
Great show though!! Keep it up!
Thanks for getting this vid out there, even with everything currently on your plate. You are a beast!
22:34 boy that blow to Sherry's head sure did put a dent in that briefcase!!!
WWF was on fire with the Austin/Hart Foundation stuff
Absolutely Brilliant 💯 That Double J remix has had me laughing for damn near a hour now. Great work!!
im from saginaw where nitro was at this night. and i also worked for the arena that it was at. so i was in the building for this. great day meeting all these wrestlers and all that. such a great day for me. this was one of the 2 favorite days i had with pro wrestling. and please move here. i can help learning about the city and all you need to know!
This is my favourite series on CZcams haha I’ve been here since day 1!
Best channel on CZcams. This reminds me of my childhood, much simpler times
Thank you for this episode, this is the one I’ve been waiting for. Nitro happened in my hometown of Saginaw, it was the first wrestling show I was able to go to. Thanks for all of these videos, love going back and reliving pieces of my childhood and experience these again.
So damn glad that you got to upload this brother! Made my Thursday to see it’s here! Heck. Yeah.
Hometown Raw, Binghamton NY. Sat hard camera with my dad, loved every minute of it.
Best notification of the week!
You deserve more subscribers brother. Your vids are spot on every time
Nice job. I've been watching more episodes this past week than there are nerve holds in a Savio Vega match.
lmfao just hit the Double J vs. Double J segment and I'm completely convinced that Wrestling Bios is having entirely too much damn fun making this series!
Couldn't wait even a minute to watch this. Notifications are on point today.
I really enjoy how much more personality you've put into the series. Great stuff, we need a Horsemen Business shirt pronto
