Thankfully, nobody in my family has this awful condition, but when I've made the acquaintance of people with schizophrenia, resistance to taking the medication was a persistent problem. I'd like to understand - nonjudgmentally - why people who suffer from this would rather endure symptoms than stay on their medication.
