Saint Seiya: Ougon Densetsu (聖闘士星矢 黄金伝説), known in France as Les Chevaliers du Zodiaque: La Légende d'Or is an RPG based on the popular shounen anime series Saint Seiya. This title covers the Galactic wars, Silver saints as well as the Sanctuary sagas (although at the point the game was released, this particular saga was not published yet, and as such, the developers had to improvise a possible ending of it), and is the first official Saint Seiya video game that was ever released.
eien86 ( tasvideos.org/... ) and TaoTao ( tasvideos.org/... ) exploit a glitch in the character select screen, allowing them to skip 4 boss fights and reach the end of the Sanctuary arc in record time. Please read the authors' comments ( tasvideos.org/... ) for more details.

Hey all, TAS co-author here. Yes, this might be an obscure game for most but let me tell you, we optimized the hell out of it. We exploit a glitch in the menu screen to acquire infinite HP, 'magic points', experience, and we even disable 4 main story fights. You can read about it in the movie description.

My favorite part of the Saint Seiya anime was when Seiya glitch reality and proceeded to one shot everything. Dude was so broken only like 4 Gold Saints showed up to fight him.

In spite of all technical limitations, the characters are very recognizable. No idea if the game is actually fun, but at least it looks good.

Yeah, it looks and sounds pretty good (for the most part...), but the game is a absolute chore to play.

@@LicencetoMeme you can see the faces in the close-ups... And there are many characters, so I guess they did some homework to get those right. I'll trust you on being a chore to play, it's kinda common on the JRPG of that time, and the ones for Japanese-only audiences... *Shiver*
