Reliability. Need to pay Japanese engineers for R&D. They invest lot in material selection. Sometimes there won’t be an equivalent grade of metal in India, then they will import from Japan. Hence there will be an import tax. You could see Bajaj’s chassis is prone to rusting very often but Honda’s won’t rust that easily.
