- In this part-episode of "The Rich List" from Series 1 in 2007, Lucy Duncan & Steve Habboush contest Kerrie and Keyur to attempt to claim an opportunity for a 2nd Rich List run and have to fight keenly to achieve that goal. Then, thanks to their knowledge of US Presidents, they succeed in taking out the top prize of $250,000!
We had this show in the U.K. and it was called "Who Dares Wins". It went on with our National Lottery coverage.
Australia had a different show in the 90s called who dares wins and it was AWESOME. It was about people doing dares for. money
@@GG-ud8id With Mike Whitney, right? I miss that show heaps! I believe during that time he refereeing The Gladiators too, which I also miss
This show was attempted in America on two separate occasions. It aired on Fox in 2006, and was hosted by Eamonn Holmes. The most money for a completed list was $250,000. Only one episode aired, with an additional five left unaired. It was attempted again under "The Money List" on GSN in 2009, and was hosted by Fred Roggin. The most money for a completed list was $50,000. Nine episodes aired from this incarnation.
Only the 2nd game show in the US to be cancelled after just one airing. And just one of a handful of TV shows across the world to be cancelled after just 1 airing.
FTR, this version and the original US version were the only versions of the "List" show to use the 10K-25K-75K-150K-250K format for the money ladder, while most other versions use the 5K-10K-15K-25K-50K format.
I named 22 of them in about 7 or 8 minutes. I know its Australia and I a Canadian, but that was way too easy for the bonus round.
I got one answer right on the happy days shows and I only knew it as the fonz.
I had 4 on the happy days question: Fonz, Joanie, Richie & Potsie.
In the second American attempt of this show, when they renamed it "The Money List", only once was a list completed for the top amount, $50,000. The subject in this case was European Capital Cities. From what I remember, the team playing it started by naming a few obvious ones, but then proceeded by naming a few that you would know if you were really good at geography. The winning one was Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
They won their next game, and in the bonus they were asked to name countries whose flags have stars. They bailed after 3 and took $5,000. Turns out they knew 12 more and could have landed the $50,000 for a 2nd time in a row....ouch🙁
It was a relatively easy list.
We've got this in the UK as Who Dares Wins. One of my favourite shows.
Oh, and "Paraguay" isn't spelt with a Q 15:51
I like how he stretched out the suspense over whether FDR was a president.
Easiest bonus round question ever.
Lucky they didn't say Benjamin Franklin. That'd be about the only possible wrong answer other than "no answer."
In the second episode all time there was a list of Australian Prime Ministers.
I wish I was old enough to have done this show! Would've cleaned up (not to brag)
Surprised that Polk and Garfield were thought of before Eisenhower, FDR and Grant
This is me from 11 years ago. We had more presidents Eisenhower and fdr...they were just edited out to cut time...This showo took +2 hours to record in the studio..
Andrew O'Keefe: $250,000 riding on One President, Should you Mis-Name Him or Her. You Lose the Lot.
Some good news for all you people who are huge fans of Andrew. He will most likely be the host of the Australian version of The Chase on Seven Network.
It's now been confirmed.

And he'll be much better than expected so let's give the old man a chance here.
23:36 reminded me of back to the future, she is kinda cute though! lol
A lot of characters were going to die in the next episodes of all these shows...
Spoiler Alert in title and description. :/
MrRandom287 has
We all need to eat well...
Is the guy hoisting the same guy from deal or no deal
Yes, the very same.
I'd like to see someone name a List of British Prime Ministers, or even Australian Prime Ministers.
Let me give it a shot: Rishi Sunak, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher, John Major, Winston Chruchill, yea, that's about it, I probably would have quit at 6.
...or Newt Gingrich.
Ted Mosby, is that you?
Tubewings Or maybe Israeli Prime Ministers...
Even if it wasn't spoiled, it seems way too easy, even for Aussies, to miss out on a cool quarter-million on a question about US Presidents. ;-)
And I wonder how long it'll be before morons cry about Barack Obama not being on the list, even though this episode aired a year before he became President? XD
