- DOCUEMENTARY ON THE LENNOX LEWIS AND MIKE TYSON FIGHT !
Michael Gerard "Mike" Tyson (also known as Malik Abdul Aziz) (born June 30, 1966) is a retired American professional boxer. Tyson is a former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and holds the record as the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles at 20 years, 4 months and 22 days old. Tyson won his first 19 professional bouts by knockout, with 12 of them occurring in the first round. He won the WBC title in 1986 after defeating Trevor Berbick by a TKO in the second round. In 1987, Tyson added the WBA and IBF titles after defeating James Smith and Tony Tucker. He was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, and the only heavyweight to individually unify them.
In 1988, Tyson became the lineal champion when he knocked out Michael Spinks in the first 91 seconds of the fight. Tyson successfully defended the world heavyweight championship nine times, including victories over Larry Holmes and Frank Bruno. Tyson lost his titles to 42-to-1 underdog James "Buster" Douglas on February 11, 1990, in Tokyo, Japan, by a knockout in round 10. Tyson continued in his quest to regain the titles, defeating Donovan Ruddock twice in 1991. Tyson was then scheduled to take on the undisputed heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield but pulled out due to injury.
In 1992, Tyson was convicted of raping Desiree Washington, for which he was sentenced to six years in prison but was released after serving three years. After his release, he engaged in a series of comeback fights. In 1996, Tyson won the WBC and WBA titles after defeating Frank Bruno and Bruce Seldon by knockout. After being stripped of the WBC title, Tyson lost his WBA crown to Evander Holyfield in November 1996 by an 11th round TKO. Their 1997 rematch ended when Tyson was disqualified for biting off part of Holyfield's ear.
In 2002, he fought for the world heavyweight title at the age of 35, losing by knockout to Lennox Lewis. Tyson retired from professional boxing in 2006 after he was knocked out in consecutive matches against Danny Williams and Kevin McBride. Tyson declared bankruptcy in 2003, despite having received over US$30 million for several of his fights and $300 million during his career.
Throughout his career, Tyson became well known for his ferocious and intimidating boxing style as well as his controversial behavior both inside and outside the ring. Tyson is considered to have been one of the best heavyweight boxers of all time. He was ranked No. 16 on The Ring's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time. and No. 1 in the ESPN.com list of "The hardest hitters in heavyweight history". He has been inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame!......plz rate n leave ur comments..
One thing is clear: boxing has some of the funniest, craziest, wise and interesting characters in any field ✌
Euuuuubank
all eubanks comments are gold
100% what a diamond
geobruf123 Eubank's the best thing about this video. The rest of it's mostly stupid gossip.
geobruf123 God bless him, he does talk a lot of crap.
+Captain Rhodes Much agreed. Chris always has great incite and why shouldn't he when he was the best middleweight in U.K. back in the day.
+Captain Rhodes The problem is, Eubank believes his own dribble.
Lennox is married and has four kids, doesn't sound gay to me

I could listen to Chris Eubank for days, he's so unintentionally funny
MissKateUK2 unintenthionally you mean ?
This fight should've taken place at least 10 years earlier.
One of the things that Tyson stopped doing in later years was moving his head, like he used to when he was in his prime. 1985-88 Tyson moved his head so much in the ring.
am i the only person that finds chris eubank absolutely hilarious??
bonehead 13 he is hilarious
And in the end Lewis destroyed Tyson... DESTROYED him!
No he didn’t. It’s the Emmitt Smith vs Barry Sanders effect. The guy who technically won only won on a technicality. Nobody in the universe watches that fight and says that was Iron Mike in that ring. Even the ones who wanna say it can really say it with any conviction.
Lennox Lewis wasn’t gay. I felt like he was an introvert with the press. He kept his personal life to himself.
Lennox Lewis is a legend and you just have to love Eubanks!
I'm born raided and living as an English man, I can tell you str8 up that tyson knocks lewis out by ko within 3 rounds in tysons prime. Lewis is over hyped. I'm glad and proud of his achievements, but he's NOTHING compared to tyson
Stephen Dunn He wouldn't beat Lewis before his prime, during his prime or after his prime. Knocking duds out in 30 seconds is all well and good, Lewis is a different proposition. Height, reach, power, skill > aggression.
Stephen Dunn you do get lewis is older than tyson dumbass
Stephen Dunn thanks for your honesty brotha. Tyson conquers all with Rooney in his corner and don king outta his system.
In their prime - Tyson win on speed + power...and that's coming from the UK!
I love Tyson but why do people always say Lewis beat him when he was past his prime?? So was Lewis!! He's older than Mike
+billy giles age doesnt matter. We are speaking about a guy who was under drugs, without good trainers since 1992 and with immense troubles in his life. Look his fights against Berbick, Tucker, Holmes, Tillman or Briggs. Next look his fights against Holyfield, Savarese or Lewis. Two competely different kind of fighters.
The first one was a swarmer-infighter. The second one just a brawler.
At the end it's also true that styles make the fight but also the careers. All infighters (people like Amstrong, Grebb, Dempsey, Frazier, Marciano, Tua, Tyson or Graziano) had short-impressive- spectacular careers. But cause of the intensity required from this style (you have to be really intense, move your head-body all times) you lost all the times on the ring something that won't came back anymore.
Boxers or defensive fighters (Ali, Holmes, Klitschkos, Lewis, Moore or Floyd Jr) had longest careers cause they dont have to use 100% of their atletical skills everyminute of everyround.
+Giulio Zoppello Idiot
+Billy Giles Lennox was at the top of his game at the time fighting top opposition while Mike had several lengthy inactivities fighting much weaker opposition..
Also, didn't quite have a steady trainer whilst LL had the best in the world in Manny Steward.. Still mad props to Lewis for fighting such a masterful tactical fight..
+billy giles Great & truthful comment Tyson was way past his prime.. Lewis was a great fighter but come on against a prime Tyson No chance
Karlos Deadloss Lennox was a better boxeer than Tucker, Smith, Green in all the aspects with one expection: the chin. This is why many people (me either) think about it. Lennox had great problems against Bruno, Mercer, Rahaman, McCall...against the true Iron Mike? no question. But at the end they belong different ages of boxing. Mike was last 80's and early 90's. Lennox last 90's and early 2000's. They should never fight against with each two at their prime
The none boxing celebrities ruin these documentaries!
This documentary is gold
i miss the early 2000s great period
Could of been a great documentary, the Z list celebs absolutely ruined it for me.
+Toyas Worlde15 I'm not sure what your trying to say.
Agreed, feels cheap asf
What about the cheesy narrator? "As four mop haired geezers from scouseland said money cant buy me love" i mean wat in the actual fuck was that about
Sorry, are you questioning the boxing pedigree of Alesha Dixon?
prime time Tyson was a beast
@Your Neighbor weird
No one could beat Tyson In his prime
I can't believe that on one of the biggest fights of Lewis's career, these ppl were talking about Lewis's sexual preference SMH
lewis lifestyle was not of doing drugs and always staying consistent with no troubles compared to tyson was going thru
44:56 ... Mr. Eubank, would you repeat that hilarious statement again?? hahahaha
Lennox, Eubank, Benn.. Richard Blackwood... what a video. All jokes aside.. All the respect in the world to Lennox Lewish, what a beast.
7:03 creepiest laugh ever... thanks Frank Bruno
+Jnel28 The fact he was talking about masturbation too makes it even creepier.
What about the fact he had no facial expression when he laughed 😂😂
Know what I mean, Harry!?
@@user-be4nr6kd4land the shifty eyes
Everyone knows that Tyson was suppose to be the next ali. Not stylistic but popularity wise. He was an icon. The best boxing anyone ever seen. Technically
8 mins in and The So Called Solid Crew are just pissing me off. 21 seconds my arse! Fuck this I'm watching the fight again.
Tyson here was a shell of himself.Heavy drug user.Unmotivated.
Tyson proved everything betwen 85 and 92.Remeber the Tyson of Old.The Speed, Power, Unbelievable combinations. Almost impossible to hit!!!
What the song called
Ok did anyone else hear the part when Tyson said this " I normally don't interview women unless a fornicate with them"
@23:18 what did Mike tyson ? whats this road rage incident
10:34 Song?
Two biggest fights ever, this one and the rumble in the jungle
Seeing some comments here about Lennox Lewis's supposed sexuality. He appears to be straight, but if he wasn't, why would it matter?
lennox fucking legend.
Prime Lewis vs prime Tyson over a set of ten contests Lewis 7 Tyson 3 (at the most). Lewis was a smarter boxer who faced and won over better opponents than the one Tyson did.
Prime tyson destroyS
The backstories of Both Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson are so similar. Even Notorious B.I.G grew up in brooklyn (bedford-stuyvesant) neighbourhood where crime was so rampant. They had both escaped poverty and risen to fame and wealth, but Tyson had a harder, more tragic life.
Even lewis said i dont wanna fight him he is an animal. Talking about prime tyson. Lewis and Tyson where at their primes in different eras. Tyson from 85 to 90 with that peekaboo style was above the league of lewis and holy field but after that his fights were amateurish
even though it was a matchup that happened maybe ten years too late it's still great that it at least happened. greedy fighters, promoters and politics consistently screw boxing fans out of the fights they want to see. that's probably the main reason MMA has been successful the best fights get made for the fans.
See how differences of opinions have changed since the arrival of social media. Back in these days both fighters would get respect from the fans. Nowadays you have a bunch of kids spouting there bullshit, when they know little about the fighters or the sport. Fans used to be real men with real opinions. The sheep of today are turning the sport into WWE.
Desailly took me here from france 2002
who is the guy in the interview with the suit on, the bad teeth and seems to be a wise man (not sure he is,
using as a descriptor )
Chris Eubank
watch Tyson vs oliver mcall sparring that is proof that prime Tyson would knock prime lewis the f out.
so a sparring session shows that Tyson would have beat Lewis? Brilliant stuff...
Lewis defeated Tyson even though Tyson was at the end of his era , Lewis fought Tyson even though Tyson didn't have the spirit for boxing anymore and his personal life was a disaster, no excuses but all this troubles affected his sporty life as a professional boxer , there isn't a point to compare Tyson vs Lewis coz the Tyson Lewis had defeated wasn't Tyson anymore ..Tyson always will be a legend .....
In the late 80s (in Mike Tyson's prime) he did whatever he wanted to do! Nobody could match his ability or stop him! It don't matter if Lennox was there then either! ..wouldn't matter! Tyson is NOT the real Tyson from 80's here. Mike was fat old and un determined! Don't they realize that?!
Which coked-up Sky producer picked the talking heads on this? A preposterous selection.
Lol
Who give a fuck what Dave Courtney thinks.
a pre 89 tyson was unbeatable... the fight he sacked kevin rooney as his trainer he was soo open.. biggest mistake he made in his career
who were the girls in the limo?
Who the fuck are all those being interviewed??
Dave courtney wtf😂😂
A pre-500BC Leonidas was unbeatable. Leonidas was like 2600 years old when he fought that fight...
In reality Lewis fought Tyson and he won. Lewis fought Klitchko and he won. Woulda Coulda Mighta Beens are a waste of time. Tyson was still a boxer when the fight happened. It was later that he only showed for the money. If Tyson wasn't as good as he had been, then neither was Lewis. And Tyson had the opportunities to keep his fitness and edge - he chose not to. That makes him less of a fighter.
Lewis was in his prime when he won tyson wasn't.
7:02 Most epic laugh EVER
Everyone waited for Tyson to be out of shape. Or out of jail.
Tyson fans are such an annoying, clueless bunch, it's so frustrating to see the nonsense they put out. Shows you how easily people are manipulated by the media.
Tyson at his absolute greatest wouldn't be able to put away Lewis easily. That is a fact to anyone even remotely educated about boxing. He might have beaten him, but Lennox would have had the same, if not better chances.
Tyson had an amazing streak against mediocre opposition and washed-up greats, in what was possibly the worst heavyweight division ever. That's it. Fighters like Mitch Green, James Smith and James Tillis went the distance with him back in the 80's. Tillis even won 3 out of 10 rounds. What on EARTH makes you think Tyson would wreck Lennox when he had trouble against far inferior fighters?
There's a reason why most serious boxing analysts and fans put Lennox fairly ahead of Tyson on their lists of all time greats. Because of an infinitely superior resume, with victories over actual big names like Holyfield and Vitali, as opposed to over-blown light-HW Michael Spinks and an old, way past his prime Larry Holmes, which are Tysons greatest wins to date.
TheCerealGuy8 wrong Mike Tyson was an absolute beast he made them look like bums knocking most of them out in minutes. FACT we all know Tyson wasn't the same if gus and Rooney had been by his side he would of gone undefeated no sweat . People today talk Bout Tyson they don't talk about Lewis he's forgotten.
Lmao that larf at 7:00 jheeez
Tyson is legend and vitali and ali before all
yes tyson is genious
Four tons of pressure.. how was Eubank's punch measured?
+Frankie O'Brien in his own head. 4 tonnes of pressure would instantly kill the biggest of men
Can i look after ur gear stick
31:10 my nigga Jimmy Henchman.... Tyson rolled with some serious gangsters 😂
lewis fought him 17 years after Tyson first won the heavyweight belt
Sorry but you do know they were supposed to fight before Holyfield? Tyson relinquised the belt rather than fight Lennox.. they also were sparring at ages 20 and 17?
@@howtheuniversedoesntwork3232 y when they spared tyson destroyed lewis for days
@@Ehrle6969 Did you watch the video ?😄 Where did you hear that ?
@@dirtyandnasty9011 lewis even said it several times. They fought 5 times last day they was equal, was 86 or 87. When lewis was in catskil on cuz Camp to visit.
The era of boxing after eubank and the best
37:44 - "Lewis will be boxing and Tyson will be 'itting him absolutely anywhere he can and trying to break what ever bit he hits" - An endorsement like that doesn't come from hype - read the history before you judge x
Tyson lost to Douglas in his prime, couldn’t nock out Tucker,Smith,Ruddock, the best fighters he fought were great, but 39-old and retired Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks,so how would he crushed Lennox who was 10 time boxer Douglas and Tucker were???George Forman said that Lewis might be the best ever(not sure) and Evander said that Lennox was his toughest opponent because he was bigger, stronger and could do everything Holyfield could.
Easy to forget about Vitaly. He never even took a count. Weird to see people talking about goats with shitty records
Douglas fight was bought kid
LOL at Tyson imitation- 21:25
Tyson at that time needed. money.
26:30 What do they mean he never paid his bill?? Whenever I go shopping I am asked to pay for shopping before I leave the store? Rich people just choose what they want, walk out, and say "ill pay you later"???
For big buys, payment plans exist! So i guess they meant that
Yeah........makes sense.
Actually, a lot of local shops in my area, open tabs if you are a loyal customer - I have 3 tabs open in Cheltenham, you'd be surprised how many will do this, you just have to ask!
Tyson will go down in history as one of the best boxers ever ,lewis wont
you couldn't be more wrong. Lewis is ranked way, way above Tyson as an all-time great. Tyson is a much bigger historical figure but not boxer. Fact.
18492thomas In your opinion, as ill guided as it may be. In people's opinions that actually matter, he will go down as one of the greatest ever.
18492thomas Lewis beat everyone in his era. If he doesn't go down as one of the best, no one does
Proof... if proof were needed.
it's not a documentary unless you have the ACTUAL fight results...UGH
Lewis is British AND Canadian, yes Tyson was in prison for like 3 years and Lewis was relatively active during that time. Sort of like when they stripped the Greatest for not wanting to fight in Vietnam ( The Supreme Court judged in his favor 3 years later) Ali was in his absolute prime when he was banned from boxing and in his SECOND fight after getting reinstated he chooses to fight Smokin Joe Frazier. No bueno! Tyson aka Iron Mike fought Lewis in his 11th fight after getting out of prison. Considering that Lewis is a rarity (seemed to get BETTER WITH age) NO BUENO
Jo guest was rough proper old trout
Real liberal use of the word 'documentary' in categorising this content. Pure awesomeness from Eubank, though.
In his prime no one and I mean no one could beat him
"I punch with 4 tonnes of pressure...."
What?
"Biggest fight in history." Tyson says that with so much self-conscious insincerity and irony, it's positively wicked. If you want to know what Tyson really thinks (or thought) about boxing history, see the excellent BBC documentary (c.1988) in which Tyson and Harry Carpenter review together many of the great heavyweight fights and fighters of yesteryear.
Thats the enemy init
lewis smashed razor ruddick while tyson couldn't ever finish him.
Oh wow.And Bruno beat the hell out of Lewis for 6 rounds. So much that Lewis wouldn't want to fight a rematch whit Bruno.Despite that lewis won by a lucky shot.
Lewis lost to 2 guys who couldn't fight. One of them was Tysons former punching bag
rufus Zufall A lucky shot? Prey tell, how can a punch that is intended to hit someone, that hits, be lucky?
The 'Lucky shot' one of boxings great myths.
Lmao i seen the fight tyson was done just looking for a quick pay day
I fucking love dave courtney!
+Big “D” -
why?
Cause im gay
24:45 - "Let's face it, he IS the reason this fight is as big" .... "It IS Mike Tyson people are coming to watch'" Fight was 10 YEARS too late - #BeReal would Lewis have beaten IRON Mike in his prime ... Mmmmm Nooooooot !
Ben Sillitoe based on what?? Tyson never beat any elite fighter in his prime ever!
Who knows. When Tyson was at his best Lewis wasn't. Prime vs prime id back Lewis
James Crabbe Tyson was THE elite fighter of his time and a generation. Youngest man ever to unify the heavyweight crown & lineal champion in his prime. Lewis could have taken him on in '96/97 after Tyson won back the WBC & WBA titles. Instead he chose to dodge him until boxing became nothing but a means of paying off debt for Tyson. Even then, Eubank's comments on who the public were coming to see in this fight were a painful truth to those with 'Tyson Agendas'. History doesn't lie ... Iron Mike was and still IS the best boxer to grace the sport since Ali.
Joey O'D I respect your opinion. It's a fact that when they were both in their prime, Tyson clearly achieved more. Without a shadow of doubt, Tyson was the most devastating and frightening fighter I've ever seen which is why I'd always back him. Lewis even said that he'd never have wanted to take Tyson on in his prime because "He's just an animal!".
Lewis never said that and its common knowledge that Don King paid Lewis to not fight Tyson earlier in there careers. Only thing Tyson achieved that Lewis didn't was he won the titles younger. Just because you peak earlier doesn't mean you were better in your prime. Then look at the amount of quality of opponents Lewis beat and look at Tysons. No question that Lewis has a lot more quality victories. Its a toss up
People can talk about who's better all day long...but honestly if you had to get in the ring today with either of these washed up has been fighters (or any fighter really) who would you rather go toe to toe with: "calm, cool, and collected" Lennox Lewis or "the animal" Mike Tyson? You can say Lewis...but I'll have a hard time believing it.
It's strange how wrong some of the opinions on Tyson's psyche in this documentary are.
USA v UK
Now I like Lewis but this is so pro Lewis Anti Tyson it's hilarious-- hard to take this seriously when they play boogeyman music whenever Tyson is on screen. They even cut out parts of that Rahman brawl on ESPN to make Lennox look better. I do like the dialogue, though. "Tyson got the cannibalistic munchies when he chewed off Holyfields ear" LOL
They also use Tyson's highlight reel from his prime days way back in the 80's and not the 240 lbs fat shot to shit version that fought Lenny.
Tyson 20 years old, Lenox 20 years old! Lenox would lose!
Tomlines2010 Yes %100
When will boxers realize that they're used to perform for the ppl who get the real money...such a shame....Tyson was a street fighter, Lewis was a boxer......Tyson was set-up by the powers that be, they couldn't control him, they wanted a performer. who knows what them yanks did to him...respect to all boxers.
Mike went to the UFC fighters
Hoping to offer them advice
Honey
They accepted him like a brother
Rex Tucker Hey huni xx I mean the top shots when they want rid of some1 like in Hollywood they discredit them, coming up with God knows what
Angela Westcliff When someone like Mike is discredited
We look to the source
That tells us all we need to know
Rex Tucker But do it? look at how much money the likes of Don King make?
Angela Westcliff Yea it's true he is rich
But money is ALL he has
Mike has friends and lots of fans, and still did pretty well financially
If people see Mike on the street
They want to talk to him and get a autograph or picture
Don doesn't have any of that
Of the two of them
I know who I would want to be
Say all u wanna say. Ask an old woman who got no teeth and cannot speak English from my village and she will tell u Tyson is the greatest boxer she knows 😂😂😂
Tyson went into this knowing he was going to lose. He just wanted the payday. Tyson at his prime, vs Lennox at his prime, Tyson wins.
They "sparred" a few times when they were teenagers. How the hell does that translate to Lewis knowing his style. Lewis knew his style through studying his fights just like everyone else that fought Tyson. Tyson was mentally and physically a shell of himself by the time he fought Lewis. If you think Lewis could've taken on Tyson 1985 - 1990, you know shit.
love evol
Tyson ducked the fight in 1996. Did I say Tyson was in his prime in 1996 you illiterate piece of crap.
love evol Tyson didn't duck Lewis. Don King offered Lewis $13 million to face Tyson in November 1996 and Lewis turned him down. So Lewis, like he did before with Bowe, took King to court where King paid Lewis $4 million for court fees, not step aside money. King used the rest of the cash, $9 million, to pay a fighter who wanted to take Tyson's title in the ring, Evander Holyfield.
love evol what the hell?this was exposed lomg time ago as a Con style acompliment by Lewises team.Lewis didn't want no part of Bruno.Afterall , he barley escaped ween they fought whit a semi lucky punch.Lewis was all over the ring against Bruno.Behind on pointy by 5 rounds. So he let Tyson take care of Bruno.
But Here is what happened.Don King offered Lewis 10mil to fight Tyson in October of 96.Lewises team declined. So a deal was signed to fight Evander. And Evander always wanted to face Tyson. He knew that Tyson was no longer the same technical fighter as he was before prison.Look on CZcams!
Once the Contract was singed Lewis and his team suddenly jump in . Can't doo that once the contract was singed. But Don had Prof that he offered Lewis 10mil to fight Tyson. And thats why the fight didnt happen earlier.
Also before Tyson fought Golota.Tyson announced his retirement. He said this fight and i, m done. They asked him so no Lewis. He answered that he no longer had the desire to fight for Championship.Only money.
But then some good money was offered to him.More than Lewis was geting as a Champion. And he fought few more fights and the fight whit Lewis.
Its all well documented. One can find all those facts on youtube.
As for who would win in their best?Tyson 87-88 vs Lewis 97-98.There is no doubt that a hungry Tyson would take Lewis inside 5 rounds. No lomger than 5.Enough said.
Mike Tyson admitted after the fight there was no way he could ever beat Lennox Lewis. Hush.
bless is mum real moment she fallow is boy real to the aert
So he punched at 8000 pounds psi @ 35:00 wow LMAO
If Lewis fought Tyson in his prime then Lewis would of been knocked out cold. This fight happened way too late.
If Lewis and Tyson fought in there prime then I would expect Lewis to handily out jab Tyson and be elusive enough to fustrate Tyson, then KO him late in the fight.
I disagree but we all have our opinions.
Apart from a very over the hill Larry Holmes, Tyson never fought a great fighter in his prime. Even journeymen like Bonecrusher Smith, Mitch Green were able to go the distance with him. Lewis would have jabbed his head off the whole night like he did in Memphis.
Quit making excuses for why Mike lost. He lost because a better boxer beat him.
MissKateUK2 You need to bring in the lifestyle choices of both fighters. This is an important factor that you shouldn't disregard, if you're using their age as a pretext. I personally highly doubt that Lewis could of handled a prime Tyson
Tyson got what he deserved in this fight. I cheered for Lewis all the way.
The only thing that was important is....... he isn't American. Because the fact that the UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD wasn't/isn't American, whatever that means, really annoys the 'true Americans '.
Richard Blackwood? Who the fuck was, or even is he?
Lennox was far from the best British boxer or even close imo
11:38 nip slip!
chris eubank all get invold in this programs
the narrator of this documentary is absolutely terrible.
i think lennox would get destroyed by a prime tyson only a prim ali could beat a prime tyson
28:05 Oh, Lennox...I'm your ho!
