While the Singapore navy is untested in active combat (less piracy operations) it has proven its logistical prowess alongside the air force especially during times of humanitarian efforts. For these I am proud that they are part of HADR efforts worldwide

As a singaporean myself ,from what I see the navy is there to help protect and defend Singapore’s sea lanes and Channels of communication in the open waters,as long as the navy does it’s job,our trade routes and maritime shipping and security will be guaranteed. With the Technology and Boosting in capabilities on our side.
(FYI the RSN is not there to showcase Military aggression ,that’s not part of the job of the navy at all)

The current Landing ship plaforms are slated to be replaced by Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) ships with a running flight deck for 4 helicopters landing pad, meant to support Chinook lifting operations & possibly replanishment of the Apache attack copters. It has longer well dock for ambihvious landing crafts. A jet blast resistant flight deck to support F-35B replanishment is still a far fetched idea for this new class of ships.

If somebody here read about the famous Alexander Nostradamus (French Astrologer & Physician, born in 1503), many of his big prophecies came true about Napolean, world war 1, world war 2, John F kennedy, Ayatollah khomeini, Haley's comet, etc. He even mentioned the name Hitler as Hister, which is very close. His prophecy about world war 3 is very similar to Prophet Muhammad prophecy in Islamic hadith. Nostradamus was born after Prophet Muhammad. Nostradamus said that united Muslim countries will conquer Europe with help of eastern countries. The best part is Muslim armies will conquer Rome without bloodshed and the Pope at that time is the last Pope

Singapore has this integrity to all our foreign investors to Singapore since 9th Aug 1965 to assure them safety and security of their investments in Singapore. Hence, we need to build a credible military to serve as a deterrence and most importantly to instil in our foreign investors a good sense of security and confident with their investments in Singapore. Singapore values foreign investments in Singapore as we do not have any natural resources to rely on our own. Besides, as a sovereign country, we need to stand on our own feet to defend ourselves in time of war when our survivability is threatened as no one would do so for us. Besides, no one owes us a living and we should be grateful if any nation could help us in time of war. We have learnt so much from history to be wise like the British surrendering Singapore to the Japanese during WW2 and the former PM of Malaysia threatening to 'skin the cat' and 'to turn off the tap' if Singapore does not do its bidding. Another issue is the rise of muslim terrorists in the region and our SIA plane was once hijacked by terrorists in the early seventies if I am not wrong. Thankfully, our mighty Singapore Armed Forces commandoes managed to storm the plane, get rid of the terrorists and rescued the hostages within a short time with no one injured or killed. Singapore as a small nation has no intention to be a superpower nation but to merely build up a credible military as a form of deterrence ready to defend the nation and its people when our survivability is threatened and to safeguard our integrity to protect the investments of foreign investors in Singapore. Our capable ruling government has indeed done well to build a credible military to give us a peace of mind so that we can sleep well every night and to live peacefully in Singapore. May God bless Singapore and Singaporeans that we would not need to go to war as a neutral country.

Two stealth. They ordered 6 but due to mismanagement, most of the money got wasted, so the project got cut from 6 ships to 2 now. Malaysia has an inferiority complex that makes them screw up a lot.
For example, Singapore's Formidable class, the first one was built in France where the people were sent there to learn the assembly process from how the French do it. Malaysia, for some strange reason, demanded that they build EVERTHING in Malaysia, so no demonstration "how to do it" from the French, every single ship was to be built by Boustead without learning how to do it from the ship's original designers.
As of this point in time, only 2 ships are confirmed while one is confirmed cancelled and the other 3 are still in discussion. The irony is that even in trouble, one of the options was to get the original ship designers to finish the job but the Malaysian government still voted against it, still insisting on "100% local" to try and muddle through the assembly without any prior training. Too much pride.
Don't believe me? Go look up where the first Formidable was really built. Malaysia wanted to build the frigates without even looking at the instructions first.

First of all, how did you manage to "see" the incident when it is supposedly far out in the middle of the ocean? Also the main purpose of a submarine is to stay hidden underwater. Going "close range" and taking photos means that the sub must've been afloat above the water surface which defeats the purpose of the Submarine. Also, taking pictures of a ship is not a Submarine's job. Typical Malaysians making up fairytale stories because your military can't hold up on its own against Singapore. 😂😂
