Atmosphere in the Bollaert Stadium was absolutely unbelievable, incredible. They have great supporters. The passion they have put tonight, the way they sing, it's just insane
They are known to be the best fans in France. The most passionates, supporting, and also showing the most sportsmanship.
They're one of the best, not the best supporters, there are OM, PSG, Saint Etienne, Strasbourg, etc...

PSG, Marseille, Saint-Etienne are loud and intense, quite amazing sometimes indeed, but when things go wrong quickly stop to support their teams and in terms of sportmanships, well, ….

The atmosphere was astronomical. Fare play to Lens too. I didn't for 1 minute thought that Arsenal would win all their games, and there will be more to come. How we bounce back will be the true test of character. It's football, you win some u lose some.

Lens lost two of their best players Openda , Seko Fofana and still they're playing their brand of football that surprised a lot of teams in french league last season.
And they are currently 15th in their league. Let's just admit we had a bad day, if the chances we had went in, we'd be saying how this is the best game we'd play all season. I understand as fans we are overly emotional but let's also admit that some days will be bad.

This is the only meaningful fan cam I have heard all day. Everything went their way, it just wasn't our day. On another day. Trossard scores, on another day, Tomiyasu scores, same another day, Nelson puts that in the back of the net.. It was just an off day for us. The only thing I criticize is that we weren't attacking spaces, we weren't confident enough to make risk passes and we were holding onto the ball for long instead of releasing it early enough. Lens won't score 2 goals like that very often. We had lots of opportunities to deliver final balls but didn't have quality. They had a few and right on button then great finishing. Rsya had another option and didn't scan the field properly and got pass wrong but 9 out of 10 times we defend that turn over.
I don't see Lens looked scare and fear at us even after we beat PSV 4-0. And their one-to-one passes are quicker and more accurate than us. We looked like a second division team to them. If not because of their back pass error, we don't have chance to score. Both of our wingers do not function at all after Saka went out.

What follows is not a knee jerk reaction to a poor result, but purely a comment on Julian's fam-cam.
Julian busy describing a decent Lens as peak Barca, who are INCREDIBLY adept at taken chances when presented to them ???? Julian is always very quick to remind us how long hew has supported the club (personally, my highlights were the ICF cup win in '70 & the 70/71 double), but seems somehow completely blown away by the 2 Lens finishes last night ? As for our "attack mode "football. Why after going one up, and having the opposition on the back foot, did we result to lateral / backwards football inviting Lens on, when the worry was we were not going to hold a one goal lead for 65+ minutes ??????
Arsenal are at their best playing fast moving/pacey football - something we seem to find difficult on European nights. Keep the ball, "we are superior / technically better than them and chances will come" does not always come off.
Very easy to show well in the "Ball Domination "stat's when playing passively in your own half.
Raya "trying to play a progressive attacking ball " .... WHY ? Just gone in front, kill the crowd, and keep it tight until in the ascendency again.
Nothing against Raya, a top keeper who I like. But this Ramsdale situation now has me fuming.
It could be argued that the level Ramsdale has now reached (in terms of handling game intensity, PL team of last season, breaking into the England squad, confidence etc) he was actually MORE SUITED to last nights match - he will learn to curb the "over excitement" however, his personality I believe is key. And as for this "calm" and "playing the ball out of the back" , it's all getting a little bit "jumping on the bandwagon" for the shiny toy of a new player. For me, there is little difference in this aspect of the two's game to have dispossessed Ramsdale from the No. 1 slot.
We were building a very good side / squad. Please do not regress by overthinking, and being something we are not - let's be our own side in our own image !

I do feel like he is spinning it in a certain way though. I mean, we got it wrong… simple. All he is saying is basically “if it went another way, we wouldn’t be saying that” well, yeah that’s a given. But it didn’t, we lost and saka got injured… he got it wrong. We need to adapt to situations we face as a club and the teams we face as opposition. Not just say “this is our style, take it or leave it”. It’s called managing the team?

Lens lost ligue 1 by one point last season then sold their 2 best players. Needed time to adapt the team to new players but it is a quality team. Will end the season in top 6
