Cat 988 and up
Cat 793 haul truck
Cat D6 dozer
I remember a rare backhoe climbing or descending walls with the help of stainless steel cables

Two flights of stairs
The cab itself looks like the janitor's shed on top of a small factory.
"Ok, we just passed our break in hours, can you go check the oil level?"
"But thats all the way downstairs!"
Promptly falls into the reservoir of oil due to hits huge size.....
At least the windscreen washer fluid should be a regularly sized tank.

Imagine walking up 2 flights of stairs and you're just on the same vehicle
Imagine getting off your seat,stepping out the door, walking down two flights of stairs, and you still haven't exited the vehicle.

I use to drive one of these monster everyday the power alone sent chill down your spine what a rush a real man cave indeed

Forget “miles per gallon” I bet this things gets “gallons per mile”. That’s a big ass machine!
More like "gallons per foot"
It's actually gallons per hour but.
They actually don't use as much fuel as you would assume. Mainly it's an Engine practcully idling driving hydraulic pumps.
The other machine burned about 24 gallons of fuel an hour, where the 944K burns around 9 gallons per hour while doing the same work.
1,800 gallons in 12 hours
That thing's huge!! Operator has to be real good to operate such large equipment.

I feel that the cab of these machines should be further elevated that you can see the extents of the machine. I mean there are cameras, but still
A good operator knows how it works, a elevated cab wouldn't be necessary

The view is never a problem once you've ran them a while
Operating in an uparmored cab is booty definitely would want an elevated cab I’ll have the seat boosted as high as it can get to see my forks

fun fact.if the 994k engine were attached to a 50 megawatts alternator generator. and use the 994k engine on generator for bitcoin power supply. it could mine a bitcoin with the power of that engine.

It's a handle that you insert next to the ladder into the hydraulic service bay that is directly behind the cab

Aaron I also follow you on LinkedIn and I really think you would excel at showing the next generation there are opportunities outside of just college. When I graduated highschool all they did our senior year was push college down our throats which for some works fine but there are plenty of people I know of who would have loved to see these things on a job site at that age or even the respect of being on the site I’m sure can spark something for them - even changing the path of one will work good. When the loader has a jump seat, it's a big loader.
The 992 also has the dickie seat, weird thing with some of the letournos tho is the handle the dickie seat op has is also the door handle, squeeze to hard door open time lol 😅

@@chrism4008 your best bet is looking up a heavy machinery school near you and get certified, then go apply for jobs as heavy machine operator. They might not start you off with something as big as this, but you'll get there eventually.
Rome wasn't built in a day, but if they had some heavy machine operators, it very well could have been lol.

It’s so amazing the size of these machines… absolutely mind blowing. It’s like an apartment building on wheels and can lift multiple apartment buildings of material… the machining of metal that goes into making one of these is incredible… All the gears and systems in this thing are just incredible. Truly one of mankind’s greatest achievements that allows us to have modern society… the day these trucks and machines seize to exist, unless replaced by bigger better trucks and machines, will be the day our society as we know it seizes to exist.
That’s a fair price considering how big that piece of equipment is.
Some guys have the coolest job
Those things r objectively some of the coolest things we humans have ever made, it’s literally a small building on wheels😮Imagine converting a dead one of these into a home like people do with old planes and busses that would be so sick and u would never have power issues so long as u can keep up with the fuel bill (tho these r surprisingly efficient when not on the move so it wouldn’t be unthinkably high at least)
That thing is so big it feels like it should be part of a Megazord.
The amount of tim the tool man Taylor that comes from running a piece of equipment like that, is insurmountable

That's what I need for the zombie apocalypse. I don't know why I haven't seen it in a movie yet. I've seen guys use small ones, but I've always thought that one guy with a heavy duty cherry picker type thing 20,000 rounds of 22LR couldn't wipe out 20,000 zombies.
I think it's nice that they included a shovel so you can dig yourself out if ya get stuck.. Painted pink so ya dont lose it so fast..
