In the 1960s I went to boarding school with Jewish girls and I was a nominal Methodist! Our boarding school was run by Roman Catholic nuns! On Saturdays the Jewish girls went to Shul n on Sundays I went to my church and we all attended Mass at the rc cathedral and we never looked down on each other! Rather amazing really if I think about it! ♡

I have no doubt. My mother taught our family the Jewish roots of christianity and it exposed so many things that we do wrong. Many of my friends think I'm trying to be something that I'm not but I pay them no mind.

Rabbi Schneider, You have a very difficult job holding the title as a Jewish Rabbi and teaching that Jesus is the way, but as well there are many people that do not know that Jewish people are traditionally not followers of Jesus. I consider myself to be a christian, I am a firm believer in Jesus, a god fearing man, but my following of scripture has been lukewarm/ an average Joe christian at best, only going to church on and off throughout the years.
Until I took it upon myself to study more about the word of god and make Jesus a part of my daily life I did not know Jewish people were not traditionally followers of Jesus. In fact not until I started watching this youtube channel.

rabbi thanks for your help in bringing the jewish birthright to the new testament. i wish included in this message the explanation of being a jew. requirements i mean. perhaps you could comment on these perspectives:. 1. that being-considered born jewish is carried via the mother. the mother is always known at birth but not the father. just as Sarah was a jewish mother but the mother of Ishmael was not. 2. the jewishness of JESUS came via Mary not Joseph since Joseph was not the earthly father. 3. perhaps this has to do with the corruption in the importance of Mary in the catholic denomination. 4. the difference in the meaning or stature of the use of the term rabbi, from teacher in the old testament to more of a interpreter of the oral laws Rabbi which led away from the written torah approach to god and into a more human perspective over time.
Pperhaps you could offer a kosher explanation to these views.
