An old soldier switches at North LaCrosse/Grand Crossing-BN GP9

An old veteran does her duty at North LaCrosse back in late 1993.A newer rebuilt unit takes off to do work down the line with a caboose.Plus a peek at Soo #4513,an ex-Milwaukee Road unit.

I ran a set of GP-9's in South Chicago for many years, after a little digging they were found to have been BN engines, they were numbered as 1872 & 1874, I loved running them.

I used to sit for hours at Grand Crossing and watch the action, right by the diamond at the south end of the yard, the wife and kids with me, we would pick up some bagles ahh the good old days
