    My two cents as an American who has never been to Ghana (yet!), but who is rooting for Ghana to succeed. The Saglemi Housing Project would be ripe for a transit-oriented development setup! A Google search tells me that Prampram is only 27 miles east of the capital city of Accra. Put in a light rail connection and target the area for light industry development (people will go where the jobs are), and that area would turn into a BOOMTOWN suburb. I'd also add some micro-apartments (studios) for upstart but currently cash-strapped young professionals.....

    Bros, Honestly, it Really looks like, Both the Juju Man and the Colonists Powers are Camped Out Somewhere in Ghana, still in this Day.
    This Video is Very Hard to Watch, knowing the Plight and Struggles of Our Ghanaian Brothers and Sisters.
    Definitely, Ghana has a whole Lot of Sins to Bear, just as that Huge Slave Castle, that Point of No Return, still Is Standing, as a Reminder of Ghana’s Role in Aiding and Abetting the Fulfillment of the Slave Trade by the Europeans.

    Somehow I understand that no incoming government makes a manifesto to continue another government’s project especially if the money they budgeted for is finished without finishing the project the themselves started. If that is the case any incoming government should auction the project for private entrepreneurs to buy and complete and if possible change the project to suit that private entrepreneur so that all new governments occupying the seat will learn sense especially if they used the project for votes. This saglemy and affordable housing from Kuffour’s time should not be sitting idle. Not even hospital. Some are certainly going to rot like Acheampong projects.

    Let's be honest it's not really tax payers money that's been used because the amount of tax collected by the government is not alot since its not automatically taken from everyone's earnings as most ppl are informal workers and are paid in cash or momo. import tax yes definitely an issue. That's why the e-levy is there. Ghanaians have learnt that phrase without knowing how much tax ppl are debited in more industrialised countries. The money for these projects is coming from international LOANS! that's why Ghanas debt to GDP ratio is so high.

    • @AndysInsights
      @AndysInsights  Před 2 lety +2

      No listen we all understand and know that most of the funds are from international loans, if you watch all my videos about projects I talk about funding and where exactly they come from but the little they(general term) gain from us or borrow shouldn’t be rushed into a project and abandoned. That’s a waste of the funds, don’t you agree? Cos imagine we pay for the maximum tax, if a loan can be misused this way how much more our very own funds where no interest rate is pressuring us to use it judiciously

      @@AndysInsights who told you Ghanaians dont pay taxes? Every Citizen pays taxes. People who drink beer, akpeteshie pay taxes because akpeteshie sellers pays waybill( that's a form of tax) and the sellers then pass on the taxes to consumers same a Beer, used clothes sellers, cigarettes smokers, spare parts dealers, used car sellers, even civil servants and market women all pays some forms of taxes. The problem in Africa is politicians sees taxes collected as free money and they steals them and dont make accountable for that that's why it looks like Africans don't like to pay taxes because the masses dont see anything or benefits from the tax money collected

      @@kofiarthur3749 True I know we pay tax all the time but I was arguing the point with him that if we are not even paying the maximum tax they still misuse and that needs to stop

    You have been some good job, but I disagree with your mode of this presentation. You do not need to be sensational. That is not journalistic. Tell us why the authorities have left the projects to be in this state. Interview them for their responses Other than that, if you want us to go with you that they have been abandoned, it will be subjective. That is not journalism. The Ho Youth Resource Centre for instance, that hosted the 66th Independence anniversary last year may have some reasons to give, if truly that is the current state of the facility as you showed. So please seek official responses to give us objective presentation. Keep up with the good work.
