So I am a new offshore boat owner and I have been enjoying watching your videos. Ironically, I had just fished watching one of your videos and tuned on the TV and low and behold the next thing I saw was Gordon Ramsey getting into your boat to go lobster hunting on TV. What are the odds? 😂. Too cool
Would love to see more tournament videos. I know it’s hard to film when you’re working hard on the boat, but some footage of the lead up to fishing with a few video, even if just a go pro on a rail, followed by award ceremony footage, would be entertaining and an opportunity for people who do t get to participate in those types of tournaments to experience them.
as a novice, can somebody explain how sailfishing tournaments work? How do they determine who wins, and how do the judges know the anglers are catching what they claim to catch, is there a tournament official on the boat with them?
There are different ways to win but the biggest calcutta is the boat with the most amount of caught and released sailfish! We have to call in every fish over the radio once it's caught and have an unbroken video clip of the angler on the rod, the mate grabbing the leader, the fish ID, as well the angler repeating to the camera the color and number that the committee assigns to that fish!
