England Players always cry when decisions don't go in their favour, but conveniently accept situations when it favours them even though it's against the spirit of the game..
You have described English mentality, perfectly
Exactly. they even won the World Cup in 2019 that way. They used DLS when there was no weather situation just to avoid playing another extra over to decide the real winner legitimately because the rate was in their favour. To me, the answer to the question, the country that invented a sport and never won the World Cup is still England for Cricket.

Just like as muralidharan, the ian bell was got out, he thought the ball is dead now and he walked to Pavillion for tea but he was given out by umpire even bell was completely unaware of this thing. But Indian Skipper M. S. Dhoni called him back and allow him to complete his century, again an appeal of mankad against the sri Lankan Skipper dasun shanaka was taken back by Indian Skipper rohit sharma and allow him to score his century...
That's the spirit of Indian cricket

Now the rules have changed. He will not get out like that in modern era of cricket
Please can someone explain me about the last case?? What actually happened is underarm ball allowed in cricket
Correct
@devanshmaheshwari5108 Underarm bowling wasn't illegal at that time, but it was still considered unethical. They made it illegal after that incident.

So what? The ball is still in play and he should have waited till the ball is dead. It's utter carelessness.

If spirit of cricket is most important then stokes should have asked to not consider the 4 runs that came from the overthrow after hitting his bat in 2019 WC finals. Always people talk about spirit when batsmen are at the receiving end.
Despite being the first nation to play the game, England also comes first to hit the spirit the game as well.

@@shashankmishra8138 you think stokes said that if you could not give 4 runs because I was one who push the ball.
I can tell you for sure that in the England Vs New Zealand game, had it been the other way around, NZ would firstly not displaced the bails, and had they done so, they would have definitely withdrawn the appeal. They did it in this WC in match against Australia in Dharamshala, when they withdrew an appeal of dismissal for obstruction (probably against Labuschagne), when the runner was actually at fault, and in a match where Australia was hammering them and NZ desperately needed a wicket. Hats off to the Kiwis, the real gentlemen of the game..
And in this video in Murali's case, it was Murali who was at fault being careless..
There were a lot of people in England very unhappy with Collingwood as well. He did apologize afterwards, but resigned the captaincy the same year, in a "Did he jump or was he pushed" sort of way.

which match was that
Do you even know that Chatfield was once almost killed by a bouncer? Only the quick action of a physio saved him. On top of that, he had been bowling short-pitched deliveries at Wasim who was a World class all-rounder. Nothing like the same in comparison.

Well it's absolutely disgusting to see how mankading the batsman is considered as going against the spirit of the game. Whenever the batsman steps out of the crease before the bowler bowls at that time nobody talks about the spirit of the game. When the bowler oversteps then it is immediately given a no ball without any warning. At that time no one talks about the spirit of the game.
It is clearly written in the rules that Mankading is completely legal and it is completely fair since otherwise it'd give the batsman an unfair advantage to step out of the crease and take a run. Murali's wicket has nothing to do with the spirit of the game.. That was clearly his fault. And opposition didnt do any mistake there.
Then why did McCullum apologised to Sanga and Murali later?
@@dinukagamage
Sanga missed out on a century because Murali had a brain fade moment - McCullum reacted instinctively to seeing Murali outside his crease, exactly as a keeper is meant to, batsman outside his crease, ball into gloves, bails off, appeal (like muscle memory).
McCullum was sympathising with them both, it's gutting to miss out on a milestone score by one run, and it's equally gutting to be the reason your batting partner misses a milestone score.
I guarantee Murali never did anything like this again

The England cricket team has cheated many times and this cheat also happened in the 2019 World Cup final with New Zealand.
That's final clip shows how the Aussies are they just want to just win by hook or by crook. Contrary to that we have New Zealand with is Brand Ambassador of the Cricket carrying the spirit of the game high, example would be 2019 WC final when they could have easily appealed for Ben Stokes to be Out for fielding Obstruction, but they didn't which is reason they lost the Final..

Sorry bro, I too play cricket n am a bowler for my local team, I too ocassionally implement this tactics to run out the batter who is trying to reach the non Stricker end during a run....but that's the common tactic used in local games which sometimes are seriously confronted .... but in international games such tactics should be considered as cheating...please see the replay again and again..., I am proud of my Indian players that they have not involved themselves in such low level cheating.

Every team must learn from newzealand that what is spirit of game
So now I understand that what SL did is backfiring them now, especially I saw Sangakkara being involved in most of such cases.
There you go aussie you are the best at something. Might as well add sledging too.
When Sehwag hits a Six on a NO ball, its still a Six and should have been counted with India's score as 177 against 170 of SL.
Had India required more than the one run to win, it definitely would've been scored as six extras (a no ball that was hit for six).
The obvious issue here, is the deliberate no ball denied the batsman from his well earned century
Umpire was far more desperate for that run out than McCullum.
Probably was tired, so he needed the innings to end to go and have a breather.
1:33 Slight correction, the spirit was lost by the Umpires, not by players. He was category of Steve Bucknor
Pi$$ off ... the umpire was looking out for the batsman's safety ... remember this is an older number eleven batsman (aka a bowler that's forced to bat because that's the rules) vs a younger fast bowler.
Javid was trying to equate this to the short pitched medium pace treatment Hadlee (and maybe Chatfield himself) had given to Wasim during the PAK innings - no one ever accused Javid of being the smartest of people 😂
If you're a fast bowler & you have to resort to this level of tactic against a number eleven batsman, then you're either childish or malicious - neither quality has any place in international cricket
Spirit of the game lost long before when its has become a business and no more a sport.
If the game to be played with spirit, then why are the rules and laws. If a batter is out bowled, will the opposite team let the batter to continue citing as spirit of the game.
Number 1 was 😅😅 unbelievable.
What McCullum did is not against spirit of the game. Just because your partner scored a century doesn't mean you shouldn't complete your run.
Bhai tum to complete tha
Selfish things bloody humanity
And one between Ind vs aus
when umpire mark benson asked ponting whether its out or not while on screen ball was clearly touching the ground before getting caught.
McCullum was by the book.
Akram removed was for safety of the batsman.
Matthews was by the book.
The rest were shameful. But those three can't be against the spirit of the game when in fact they were following the rules.
All incidents were by the book. You can’t cherry pick.
Safety is only for non-aaian players 😅
The timed out seems to be the crazy one. What if Mathews played a lethal bouncer hits his head like it did for Phil Hughes?
I see a hypocrisy here between the English speaking and the others.
Yes shakib is currently world's fastest bowler 😂😂
The rule is the batsman has to arrive at the crease in 2 minutes and get ready to bat
If there was such an issue with a broken helmet after that, the umpire would have allowed him to call someone from the dressing room for a new helmet even before the first ball is bowled.
This whole controversy is just a case of not having knowledge of such a rule as it has not happened before which at the same time has no further constraints like in the case of a broken helmet.
Hence, such a vaguely written rule was just used by the opponent which I don't think is unfair or against morals. Rules of cricket are always above any morals.
If not, then first criticize every batsman who didn't walk back by himself when he got an edge but the umpire didn't give him out or the team didn't appeal.
First of all, Mathews entered the pitch when around 10 secs were remaining for timeout which itself says how active he was. He had all the time since the SL batting started to cross check his equipments. He paid for his mistake. Lack of awareness from Angelo was the cause. It is no where near to be considered in the context of spirit of the game.
@@zealous623blah blah.just stop and think for a second.he was at the crease before two minutes.if his helmet didnt break everything wouldve been fine.how is it his fault?.if this happened to one of your players will you react exactly like this? I think not

ok the part on 1:44 is wrong he wasnt trying to kill and it is allowed as it is below head peak and can very much avoid the ball or in some cases can even play it.
The number 11 player is not a batsman, he only trains for bowling. And at that time even helmets were not that strong. And Akram is throwing a bouncer to the number 11 player at a speed of 140 Kph. Shame on Akram And those who are defending it.

Yeah, that one damaged the Trans-Tasman relationship for a number of years.
I do remember a Lotto TV ad here in NZ many years later, where they used this footage, but as the underarm was bowled the kiwi batsman quickly took out his protective cup, placed on the pitch, the ball bumped into it & became airborne & was smashed away for the winning runs (it might even be here as a video on YT)
for me its yesterday match where Virat Kohli, shubham gill , iyer and surya combined runs are lower t. head and glen maxwell
Not just Cricket
Spirit of Sports Died many years ago
Football, Athletics etc, etc
Shameless England, they didn't take back the appeal but was booing Indian team for IAN bell run out. Utter shameless
the moment it started with england . i knew im watching the right video
I have often felt if you have obstructing the field as a dismissal, you should also have obstructing the batsman, if it is found to be a genuine obstruction, the batsman shouldn't be deemed out, in case he wasn't able to make his ground, even if he was able to, a penlty of addional runs should be given, purely at umpires' disposal!
(Referring to certain instances where fielders, especially bowlers have intentionally tried to block the running between the wicket, after follow through or while collecting the ball!)
1st moment was totally correct. McCullum collected the ball from the fielder and Murali should have been in the ground. Only after completion, should he have stepped out.
It angers me when England speaks about spirit of cricket so much😡
I Saw Billy Bowden In The Last Video Walking Out From The Non Striking End...!!!
The most shameful is when the Australian Umpire tried to kill Muralis career by no balling him for chucking even when ICC had cleared him. That was the most disgusting stunt ever. The number 1 on this video doesnt even come close.
Number One is absolutely deserved.
That was the last ball of the match, the Aussies were scared our guys as going to easily get the winning runs, so the captain ordered his brother to deliver the underarm to prevent that from happening.
Murali took advantage of a supposed physical defect to unfairly become a prolific wicket taker - and now we have all manner of other slow bowlers with decidedly dodgy bowling actions.
I would bring up Malinga's dodgy side arm action, but he wasn't around for as long, and fast bowler's actions from all nations have always been called into question
@rickybobby38 I am sorry but you dont even know what you are talking about. Please check the ICC ruling. It is very clear. They did not give him pass due to a physical defect. They clearly stated that his arm bending was withing prescribed guidelines and there was nothing wrong and it had nothing to do with the defect. The defect only makes it seem he is bending it more than what is allowed. So the aussies cheated and even after ICC cleared this. And it is damn shameful of them to have done it.
@kdsh2434
Sorry, I'm not reading some BS document/ruling from the ICC on this issue - they'd already bent the knee to the subcontinent long before this, and this situation only further cemented that fact.
I was actually alive & clearly remember watching the exact match & incident that lead to Captain Arjuna having his fatboy dummy spit & marching his entire team from the field in protest - can you say the same thing (if not, then you can sit down).
It has always been, and will continue to be, a chucking action - I guess they felt sorry for the lad or the Sri Lanka team as a whole, as they were still kind of fringe at that time.
Sadly this unleashed a monster, and next thing we have a whole slew of suspect bowling action spinners showing up (I won't start in on Malinga as fast bowlers from all over have been called into question for their bowling actions at one time or another)
@@rickybobby38 Well you can call everything bs as much as you want. It's been cleared legally and you can complain all you want but it's there for all to see what's really happening. And just because they made and changed the rules as they want and then complain about the subcontinent don't make it right. Btw so called gentleman's game and you have had the Aussies sledging forever. By that fact itself they should have been thrown out lol. This is complete bs.
Grant Elliott ran into Sidebottom, who was going for the ball, and then tried to avoid colliding with Elliott.
It was Elliott’s fault.
