I am 78 years old now but, when I was 4 years old, my family and I experienced ball lightning! The lightning struck the electrical connection coming from the light pole to the house. A ball of pure white light came through the window and what seemed like forever ( seemed like everything turned to slow motion), it floated around the room and then exited back out the window. In the mean time my mother screamed, grabbed me and landed on the floor to avoid the light. My dad was only a few feet away on the floor with us. I'll never forget the fear in her screams nor seeing that light. FACINATING!
I love Shatner. He is one of the few to become an icon in his own right after having created an iconic fictional character. Live long and prosper, Sir.
He was my first crush when I started watching rerun Star Treks with my dad. I was around 8 or 9 in the 80's. I don't care if he's considered an ahole, am sad he was mean to the rest of the crew. I was so happy he actually got to go to space, wish Lenard Nemoy missed the chance.
@@dcantrell5584 "wish Lenard Nemoy missed the chance."
Isn't that a bit harsh, why would you wish such an awful thing towards Lenard (Mr. Spock) Nemoy?
What did he ever do to you to wish he'd miss such a unique experience?
You (maybe even) caused his death just to get your wish
Just kidding, I just had to reply to your innocent typo 😉
Made me laugh so much when he went past on that thingy. Love him.

He's Priceline.
I love William Shatner to always reminded me of my second husband
My favorite Shatner bit of all time was when he was on the original The Twilight Zone on the airplane screaming "There's something on the wing!!!!!!" Love it!💜✌️
This is the first time I have run across this program. It is not only very interesting but William Shatner has a wonderful sense of humor and totally makes me laugh. He is a favorite for many reasons.
My first time too. I agree, The Shat is great. But I also enjoyed the show. Ging t look for more episodes.
Yes he does!
Shatner is a I conical Host. best choice for this show.
He makes me laugh too but I thought he is reading from a script. However he really brings it off well
@@glenndavis1367You guys never watched The Unexplained? Boy did you find a gem! He also hosted a show called "Weird or What" and I believe that he was an executive producer on both shows. They are great! Can't imagine those shows without Shatner! Leonard Nimoy hosted a show in the late 70's on PBS called " In Search Of". It was fascinating because it was long before any paranormal shows were on TV . I think you can find some episodes on CZcams and I highly recommend them all!! ✌️💜👻👽
I worked in a very large mental hospital from the early 70’s. They were doing experiments on sensory deprivation and had built a “room within a room” it was literally suspended from the ceiling of the bigger room. Some staff volunteered to be part of the experiment, some walked in and out but one ward sister was in the Guinness book of records for years for staying in there for the longest time, it was days, she said she wanted to come out because she thought everyone had forgotten about her and she could smell smoke. She was a very strong character, a wonderful nurse but a determined lady, very practical not the type to have a vivid imagination. Well done Maureen, you put LMH on the map, but it’s all apartments now.
What was the reason for the room/experiment?
I love William Shatner! He could read the phone book and I’d listen! 🤗🥰
Me too his got that something😂
As long as I don't have to listen to his version of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds! Or Rocket Man, for that matter.
And he’d find something intriguing about it too! Lol

William Shatner looks just like my late Daddy; also named “William”! I watch him, and it’s like having a close encounter with my Daddy each time 🙏🏼❤🥰. Thanks Mr. Shatner for such awesome videos and memories.
You already ARE a close encounter with your Daddy. Your Dad, is literally half of you. Every cell in your body has your fathers DNA in it. You are the memorial you seem to seek. Find comfort in knowing that.
From what I understood Sarah Winchester was a very sharp lady. She lost her family and had endless money to spend. The workers said she was very kind to them. I think she just enjoyed creating new rooms for the house. She did think spirits gave her ideas for the house. I think plenty of people do things that seem crazy. You might say staring at a phone screen all day is crazy.
Everybody needs a hobby. Sarah Winchester's hobby just happened to be "bad architecture"...😅
Having money and a lot of free time often ends with eccentricities. 😂
So true 😂
My grandfather told all about ball lightning. He pointed out that if you were sitting in a chair that was touching a wall inside of the house and the ball lightning entered the house, you should pull your chair away from the wall so you didn’t get electrocuted. The ball lightning wil travel along the walls of the house then will exit the house through the window.
Yep! When I was young my Granny would tell us the same thing. We were sitting in the den during a lighting storm and it entered the house. It traveled around all four corners of the room and left through a window. Pappy put a lightning rod on the house the very next day. Lolol
Ball lightning? Is that when you get kicked real hard in the nuts?
Oh sure. Lightning can go thru windows and doors, will hit u if you're touchin anything it the vicinity, it'll hit u if you're in the water and it strikes the water even miles away. If ur under a tree it'll travel thru the roots and get u even if ur not hit by the blow from the tree on top. Puddles magnify it × 10. Etc. Etc.
Lots a different Lightning types & ways they can travel.
As a small child I saw a ball of lightening come in thru our kitchen window, go around the room and back out that same window. It was about the size of a basket ball, and we all just stood there in total shock and awe... I'll never forget it looked exactly like a ball of blue electrical fire.... Beautiful, but deadly....
The biggest mystery of all is how William Shatner still looks like he's in his 50's!
Mr. Shatner, you are a GEM, that's why they get you to do shows like these, it's because the paranormal gods know what I like
The Winchester house has been making it's rounds in the paranormal community for decades, but is it really paranormal, or is it just architectural? The most paranormal thing about it, is a fortune teller told her there were ghosts and she'd die if she quit building, but that's not what the main story is. The main story is that she kept workers busy building a maze in her house.
Moral of this story, don't pay any attention to ghost stories!
I grew up pretty much down the street it’s not haunted more deaths on the other side of town just a crazy lady with money in a time when money let you get away with it
it's a tradition in Methodist church 😘 to build a space for those you displace
I was able to visit a few yrs ago. Very expensive woodwork, i was really taken back with the room with lots of stained-glass that was very used, the glass today as you know is priceless, she sure had plenty of money, RIP

I've had a crush on William Shatner since I was a wee one & snuck out of bed to see Star Trek on TV. He has the most amazing voice, like music to my ears, so soothing. I wish I could have it programmed into a greeting when I come home, turn on my computer, get in my car. His voice is one of the finer things in life (or in my life).
Love this man. He can make anything entertaining and fun
I did but lost alot of respect regarding ufo whistle blowers
One thing I learnt about doctors used by insurance companies when I developed severe latex allergy, was to convince me that all debilitating symptoms I experienced physically were all in my mind.
Why? Because they do not know. So, they sent me to be assessed by experts. The outcome? I was sane and not imagining what was happening to me.
It was a very difficult time in my life losing my job because of it. Sad with the realisation that some doctors’ sense of morality can bought.
Fortunately, two specialists believe me.
My cousin saw lightning strike a teenage boy in South Africa in 1970. The boy was totally vaporized except the soles of his shoes. A dozen other teen boys who were playing soccer with him were also killed. Lightning can be very destructive for sure. I have seen electric service boxes melted by lightning.
virtually impossible to be vaporized by lightning.
@@joejones9520 yup, a lightning bolt is not a microwave oven ;-) you can fry bacon with an electrical discharge though, lol
Spontaneous combustion can vaporize a person.
@@guymorris6596 Military grade Thermite even turned World Trade Center 1, 2 and 7 to dust (in mid air)
Where did his body go? Maybe he was actually teleported to a alien space ship but it looked like lightening to you. The shoes were left so people would think it was plain lightening bc of the rubber soles.
I had a scare with blood coming from eyes profusely. It happened while in the ER for a severe nosebleed. Blood was pouring from my nose and my eyes. This lasted for awhile until the physicians were able to pack my nose. I had to stay in observation for a few days. The packing material had to remain in place for about a week & could only be removed by a physician.
No possession involved.
Wow !!
🤔😂😂😂 I had a similar experience year's ago but involved my rectum, never walked the same since 🤣🤣🤣
I ended up so dizzy I went to Sleep woke up 3 days later Deaf .one side .
No more nose bleeds
I have epilepsy. I have been told more than a few times, I’m possessed lol. It’s really nice when people, in their infinite wisdom, choose to make you the boogeyman, isn’t it? 😂
I do know that the eyes and nose are connected, and bleeding from the eyes is not uncommon with bad nose bleeds. No stigmata required lol.
I was born with my heart on the right side of my chest, which is very rare and a medical oddity. People are born with it on the left side. And I was born without tonsils and an appendix.
The Winchester House is definitely its own entity, and you will doubt it,or question if it really is until you have stood there and placed your hand on the house , (any place on it )and feel it for yourself .(as i have)
Beyond the energy and ghosts, ect ..there is the actual architecture, and what you relize when your eyes lay upon the house is that a VERY TALENTED AND DARING ,UNIQUE, EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT ARCHITECT (be it novice),created this.,its easy to get lost in the paranormal, yet just as easy to get lost in the craftsmanship and designs of the Winchester House .
Well said my friend. And it is very true indeed. 👍
Or it’s just the leftover energy of a very eccentric woman who was a depressed paranoid.

We could never be friends. But that’s ok. It takes all types!❤
My husband always has to be chronically early. Trust me given peoples reactions I think us fashionably late people are alot more tolerated then someone who always arrives before they're even ready haha.
I told the doctors office to schedule me when they want me, not schedule me and tell me to get there 20 minutes early, because then I can tell them whether or not I can make it there in time. That's super annoying. If I could make it there at that time I wouldn't tell you not to schedule me before the time I give you. Some of us still work and have kids lol. Life in America is silly compared to most places. What is everyone rushing to in an unsafe hurry. Drive safe and be a minute late if necessary, life will still be fine a minute or two late. Rushing around all the time makes a person forget important things and make bad decisions. People need to just relax.
I don't know how I ended up here, kind of woke up to it! But I am in love with this show! Watching it at 2am
I have not had cable for the last 11 years. So, I was not aware William Shatner was hosting a program for the Discovery Channel. I enjoyed this video!!! I have always like William Shatner. He started working in the late 1950s and early 1960s in programs such as the Twilight Zone and Outer Limits. Then, he starred in Star Trek for several years. He was also a star in a police program. What I am leading up to is that he always finds work!!! He will do other science fiction movies or host shows that air science fiction or ghost movies. He is always working, and I admire that part of his character. He has a very good work ethics. Now, on the other hand, Leonard Nimoy voiced a different opinion during an interview in the 1980s or 1990s. Leonard explained that William had many marriages and divorces, as well as some children. Leonard claimed he had to constantly hustle for work to pay all the alimony and child support he owned his former wives. Leonard said that William would live out of his car if he had to in order to pay his bills. I guess when "you are a star" all your ex-wives have a piece of you!!!
I enjoy watching Shatner and I definitely did have a crush on him as a child in the 80's. I enjoy these episodes and find his approach, questioning both in a humourous manner that defuses potential hotbeds of debate with a serious intent with his final comment. He's good, charismatic and wish him and his family, all the best.
He looks like the identical twin to my Daddy also named “William”! He’s so awesome, but my crush was on Spock 😂…Live long and prosper!

The portion about Winchester seams very plausible. This is the first time I have heard about her building a house big enough to accommodate her extended family. Also, it's the first time I have heard about the earthquake, the extensive damage, and the need to rebuild portions of her home.
Why don't we ever hear about her other house and see photos of it even though its not conspicuously remodeled? I'd love to see it.
Will Shatner will always be "The Shat!" In my mind.

In 2018, when I lived in Southern Georgia, for a week or two, there would be 2 boom sounds around 10 or 11a.m. it sounded very distant. It occurred for about 2 weeks every morning around the same time. There would o ly be 2 booms and no more daily. Was in the late spring, on beautiful mornings with not a cloud in the sky.I wondered but my boyfriend and mother also heard it. But have never heard it again nor before that particular time.

As for the fog- One night about 25yrs ago, I was in the Lake District (of UK), with a couple of kids, and we were definitely followed by a fog or mist which had a glow. Even the dog was barking and growling at it, as it approached where we parked. I got back in the car, and we shot away. It seemed to follow for a mile or so. It really wasn't nice, and we were all spooked by it.
You should look up the Min Min lights in Australia. These lights follow trucks, and are well known as sentient objects. They know what they’re doing. They are harmless so far. I’m English, but I live here in Australia.

That "Crying Boy" painting sure looks awfully like Prince William's son Prince George, the heir to the British throne behind his Father.
I love William Shatner is so funny. These are great videos to rewatch.
First heard of the Winchester house in an episode of Ripley's Believe It Or Not decades ago. Then it was featured in an issue of Alan Moore written Swamp Thing.
Awesome storytelling!
It was as the chemist said, but the crying boy picture was also found to have been lacquered with a coating that also served as a fire retardant. Combine that with the fact that most homes in the area had it as it was given away as a promotion with a lot of household items, in some cases from the realty companies when you bought or rented a house or flat. Its like blaming the sink because most homes have them and porcelain doesnt burn.
Video was👍👍. Very interesting!
That is crazy building 🏢🏫 a house 🏠🏡 for ghosts. I think the the psychic just missed her up.
YES 2 and a half hours of spooky ghosts!!
Excellent informative weirdly interesting thx.....
The Winchester house was a fortune teller who took advantage of a grieving woman. It is the 1800's and all that she suffered was actually common. TB was rampant, Yellow fever was rampant, scarlet fever. etc. etc. I had an ancestor who had 12 children and she had lost 7 of the children from these illnesses and 2 from what was listed as accidents ( no further details).
Random fact: you can actually scare chickens to death

I grew up in Victoria, Australia and WE had the crying boy print in a frame, hanging up in our bungalow my cousin lived in, in the back yard area.We never had a fire, so I guess the CURSE must have only effected homes in England.
Far more likely that more prints were sold in Rotherham by door to door sales people in the 60s & 70s - so more people had it in homes when chip pan fires etc were more frequent. By burning those ones in the UK, The Sun paper would have increased the scarcity of the print. Also, whilst that paper is a ‘top selling’ one, it’s not noted for the quality of its journalism.
Oh WOW I have heard of the crying boy painting. Maybe in certain families

Oh my gosh I love this show. It cracks me up! Ha
What a great story teller his voice is velvety
Based on the boy's testimony, I'm guessing that the "booms" were caused by small objects traveling at very high speed; probably much faster than hypersonic speed, as the objects penetrated the earth's atmosphere from space. The so called "beams of light, if my guess is correct were trails of plasma created from the superheated/supercompressed sir in the wake of the objects from space. As for the colordul sphere of multicolored lights, ... if the boy had been looking at the flash of light that accompanied the "booming"s, this might have over stimulated parts of the cells of his eyes and left a short lived coruscating afterimage as the over stimulated eye cells were trying to adjust and return to normal function. How do i know this? Because it has actually happened to me AFTER I inadvertently was looking at an unexpected lightning flash that hit the ground about ten feet away from me.
IF the cause of this series of phenomena was a result of objects passing through the atmosphere from space, then that would explain the three holes in the ground found later; three small projectiles vaporizing as they penetrated the atmosphere ; their tiny remains still potent enough to punch three holes in the ground upon impact.
Its called a ball lightning
When I was younger, we were hanging out our local park. We were sitting under a tree for shade, it was very hot. Suddenly a lightening bolt hit the tree, and we loss our hearing for a few seconds. I remember how scared i was. it was the first time i knew how deaf people live. I could not hear anything at all.
The very fact that we have the word talisman which is a protection charm against curses etc, etc, so that means curses, jinxes and hexes are real.....
or that people really BELIEVE that they are cursed etc.

I saw ball lightning when I was a kid with my grandpa. It floated eerily across the gazebo and then... nothing. You could smell ozone in the air after as well.
The russian "woodpecker" was located near Chernobyl and ceased operations soon after the Chernobyl disaster in 1986. The array is still standing but remains a relic/defunct piece of equipment... kind of like Pukinboy.
Regarding Bell Island, I heard a theory it was something called 'super lightning' and it can also cause a rare ball lightning. I have never seen it, but I know someone who has. It can be as tiny as little pea sized orbs apparently, or grow larger. They appear, and disappear, or sometimes a mini 'explosion'. But super lightning can certainly make loud booms also, and destroy things. Then I saw that part of the show, and someone said the same thing so, that's my best guess.
