- @ Airport : Princess Juliana International Airport (IATA: SXM, ICAO: TNCM) is the main airport on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin/Sint Maarten. The airport is located on the Dutch side of the island, in the country of Sint Maarten. In 2015, the airport handled 1,829,543 passengers and around 60,000 aircraft movements. The airport serves as a hub for Windward Islands Airways and is the major gateway for the smaller Leeward Islands, including Anguilla, Saba, St. Barthélemy and St. Eustatius. It is named after Queen Juliana, who landed here while still only heir presumptive in 1944, the year after the airport opened. The airport has very low-altitude flyover landing approaches, owing to one end of its runway being extremely close to the shore and Maho Beach.

That was great. I wonder why they went right to the end of the runway and did that gas-guzzling turnaround? It seemed to me that they easily could have slowed down and turned off at the taxiway they eventually took.
Pourquoi ne voit-on jamais le cockpit dans vos vidéos car un peu frustrant de n’en voir pas plus... ou un juste partage entre vue extérieure du cockpit ?
y'a quand même de la marge au décollage à St-Martin! En Flex ça aurait permis d'économiser un peu ... enfin bon je suis loin d'avoir toutes les infos! ...merci pour le partage en tout cas!!

@@MikeHotel29 en espérant que cela puisse suffir à maintenir l'activité pour le moment !
Ce n'est pas la piste mais le relief dans la trouée d'envol qui impose le décollage en pleine poussée. Pour info vol quasi plein ce jour, mais décollage face à la mer impossible à cause du vent (vent arrière variable supérieur à 15kt dû aux conditions orageuses). Le décollage face à la montagne est très pénalisant en terme de performance et nous à imposé une escale à PTP pour un complément de carburant avant de rentrer vers CDG.
