I tried to follow a tutorial, wrote every step down and did it following the video pausing and replaying it but you're right I failed with the sectioning of the hair I find that so difficult even though we use the same hairbrush and everything

@@Sasbie65 I have not seen a hairdresser since 2002, only once I've had a proper haircut as in, a true skilled hairdresser! I learned to cut my own hair.

OMG! This is it! After chemo I cut my own hair because of Covid. Grant it, it wasn't this good, but it was pretty good I loved it. But I've tried to grow it out, fail, and twice had to have it professionally cut with epic failures. I found a stylist I trust and have sent it to her. Thank you!

Used this guide to give myself a quarantine cut. Luckily I have the sides shaved, so only had to do the top. It was challenging to do myself, but I'm pretty happy with the results considering I've never cut my own hair before! Thank you!

@@pyron1c Well, it actually went pretty well. I was extremely nervous, and I hadn't anticipated the juggling act between comb, scissors, and fingers holding hair. Her friend Facetimed her about 2/3rds of the way through, which added to the tension. Her hair is much finer than the demos, and was already shorter, so grabbing each section was not smooth at first. But I got through it, and she actually told me the other day she was impressed that it was falling into place/styling correctly afterward. She even said the same to her friend, which was gratifying since I know that might be a more honest assessment.

It's funny because I never thought that people will copy my haircuts at home, but during this Covid time a lot of people are watching my videos. Thank you so much for this tutorial! During the pandemic, my mom couldn’t cut her hair as all the hair salons were closed. Because she sports a pixie cut, she needs to get it maintained and trimmed often for it to look nice. I found your tutorial and used it to cut her hair. She absolutely loved it and I’ve been cutting her hair ever since! She says it’s better than going to her regular hair dresser haha😅. I'd seen a similar video [about an hour long, working on a mannequin head, guy with tattoos was stylist]. It was inspiring, so I finally tried myself. [It's nearly impossible to get a stylist who can (or will) do this !] It was OK; but today I messed up (the back : ( so I'm trying to find that video again. This is the closest one to that... now I know what I did wrong (besides rushing). Excellent video. 🙏🏼
