    God bless you Father from a Coptic Orthodox brother! Very well put together. I struggled with this concept growing up in Protestant majority USA. I thank God for the understanding that Church and Scripture complement each other in the most beautiful way!

    There you go, glad you are here. An English Channel is very important as many people have questions and can’t speak Amharic. I hope you are open to questions, no matter how difficult they are. I have one question for now. If tradition is important, then which tradition? Because every country has different traditions. Are we all going to have our own Christianity depending on our tradition? Let’s take Orthodoxy alone, Greek Orthodox and Ethiopian Orthodox don’t have same traditions. What do you say about this? It’s very unlikely that early Church fathers followed Ethiopian tradition. Please enlighten me on this issue. Thank you and God bless🙏

    Greetings in Christ, Father. I am an Eastern Orthodox catechumen at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Waco, Tx.. This was a wonderful video.
    Holy Tradition is just as important as Holy Scripture. St Paul even says as much a few times: "When you received the word of God which you HEARD FROM US, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God” (1 Thess. 2:13) and “Keep away from any brother who is living in idleness and not in accord with the TRADITION that you received from us” (2 Thess. 3:6) and also, probably the most direct verse against sola scriptura, "Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the TRADITIONS which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle." (2 Thess. 2:15)
    Secondly if we look the historical context of when the apostles wrote, in particular St. Paul, when the early church fathers and apostles referred to "scripture" they were referring to the Torah and other Hebrew writings. Why? Because there was no "Christian scripture". Therefore they HAD to be referring to Hebrew scripture.
    Again, thank you Father for this video.

    Just a correction, Martin Luther did believe in the Transfiguration of the Holy communion. It was Zwingli, another of the big reformers who did not believe in the transfiguration of Holy communion. In fact Martin Luther had a big debate with Zwingli about this at Malburg.

      Lutherans maintain Consubstantiation, which is similar but not quite the same. I think Zwingli was a memorialist, which is many times more heretical imo

    Greetings and thank you for the blessed works you are doing by making this integral African expression of the Christian faith more accessible to everyone especially in Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and America.
    Please though comment on the Solomonic dynasty link and why it is seldomly spoken of. Not even the great contribution the Kings made and in particular the last one. What role and or relationship does the Crown Council have today. We are all aware to the continued effort to reduce Ethiopia/Eritrea to be in just another failed African state and the EOTC is the last institution to be dismantled leaving Christianity in Ethiopia to lose it's unique history and contribution to society, patriotism and PanAfricanism.

    • @tyronesmusic1
      @tyronesmusic1 Před rokem

      Question, why is Pan-Africanism viewed by you as something that could "dismantle" EOTC? Does Pan-Africanism not support the one Africa ideal, in which supports Continent born Africans and African descendants of slaves? Pan-Africanism or Ethiopians in diaspora is pretty much the push for English translations and growth of the Church abroad.. Soon Ethiopians born in America, will be African Americans, no.. ?

    And didn't Yahushua (Jesus) beat Lucifer by using The Father's word? He literally said man should not live on bread alone, Matthew 4:4. And wasn't Yahushua main purpose was to defeat the hypocrisy of the church, being the Pharisees. Because they worshiped him with their lips Isaiah 29:13; Ezekiel 33:31; Matthew 15:7-9
    These verses speak of men straying form The Father's teachings and creating their own system that was not taught through Moses, which is mostly likely the Seat Of Moses you were referencing. The Seat of Moses could be considered the Torah, the book that was created when he went and spoke with The Father himself. I might be missing something, I only read the Bible and didn't have any formal training. So I would enjoy your wisdom.

    Sola scriptura can take u on a wrong path. Brothers and sisters need to remember the church came first b4 the Bible.
