MLK is a short, pensive piece written as an elegy to Martin Luther King Jr. This piece, made famous by Irish rock band U2, is a sweet, hymnal tune that speaks volumes in its simplicity.
King's inspiring message and groundbreaking work during the American Civil Rights Movement is something we can all look up to and remember on this Day of Reconciliation.

MLK Day, 2023, and this is the first time I've heard this specific version. I've heard quite a few, namely the Bob Chilcott arrangement for Concordia Choir. Your ending doesn't have the sub-basement dwelling Bass I voices that Concordia has, but their arrangement is geard toward that - yours is equally impressive in voices, strength, and dynamics. The one thing you have that Concordia does not... 03:11 to 03:16 and absolutely deafining silence. What an absolutely _______________ (insert superlative(s) of choice) use of silence - I actually stopped breathing and could hear my own heart beat. To Dr. Barrett and your chior - BRAVO!!!
