- I met up with @Regular_Guyph who was passing thru our Island of Leyte. He is a rolling stone and we scouted out how to get off while finishing the day getting to know him a little.
00:00 - Intro
02:24 - Trip to the Port
13:14 - Burgos Reef Restaurant
16:08 - Scotty's Story
Funny how Mary at that restaurant caught Tim flatfooted with "You don't remember meeting me?"
Mary is now the star of the video. Always to be remembered.
Her Vlog:

My dream is a reality. I MET TIM K!
And you weren't impressed! LOL
Hope you slow down soon.
You’re thinking of a name change Scotty, how about Concrete Guy 😅
Scotty boy, you described my next house. My wife and I already have 2 houses in Philippines but will be building another soon on our beach lot. We will make a ferrocement house just as you talked about with most furnishings built into the house.
Great thumb nail. Scoot riding on the back of Tim K scooter..😅
lol Regular guy is always got the longest way to tell a short story.
thats sometimes annoying in conversations, but for CZcams its ideal for him, its not boring enough to switch the video, and he can fill a video of a decent and recommended video length with it.
Typical way of an ADHD person telling a story by the way, but doesnt have to be that way.
Guilty as charged, my good man
@@Regular_Guyph we love it
But RG is really entertaining. Maybe I relate to his way of thinking?? ..scotty boy stream of consciousness grabs and keeps my attention even if he does wander a bit, that's part of the draw, absolutely anything can come out of his mouth at anytime no matter what topic he seems to be focused on 😊
@@mrrobert177 he is, and yes that's possible. Maybe I like him too because of that. He is more how I am telling things, and Tim is more like I would want to be telling things ;)
He lit up when he spoke about the Philippines. I felt the excitement in his voice. The guy is legit happy there. And I'm happy for him!
Brilliant video, two of my fav vloggers. I do hope you tell the rest of the story, about his (and your) trip on the ferry... I luv that part of the story. Tim, what a nice line about vloggers not being a 0 sum game...so true. I hope my path crosses with both of you someday....safe travels.
Hahaha I love it. Scotty is nervous. The boys are on a mission! Lol
Cagey idea to get on the boat. Tim the solutions provider. 🤭😊
@@i-am-your-conscience yes you’re right. He’d always be comfortable. 🤭😊
Tim must have had the decaf Americano. Regular Guy...triple shot of espresso
Great show thank you guys for sharing. Have a great trip and good luck
A perfect day. Two vloggers nuts to butts on scooter and a romantic breakfast by the ocean. 🤣
Scotty Boy is a cross between MR. ROGERS & MR. BEAN 😂
That's a insult to Mr bean 🤣
@@danielpickup2707 That's any insult to Mr. Rogers.
I'm a Canadian like Regular guy and u know what he means.
I have always felt I belong in the Philippines.
The first time I went there I knew I was home.
I'm finally moving from Toronto to Davao in September and I'm so excited
What I like about regular Guy is that he is moving around so we get to see the Philippines with him
So jealous.. one day I too will visit the Philippines and fall in love with place as well..
How you admire the Philippines sir Scotty is very touching. Thank You for your special love to our country. Crossing fingers to your ultimate Dream!
Long Live in The Philippines!
The way Scott is describing his house sounds more like a prison then a house 😂
When you understand how everything deteriorates with the climate, you'd get it.
The Philippines without sunglasses. It's good to be young.
Getting correct information from Filipina's is as painful as getting your teeth pulled. The conversation with the lady in the container at the port was like a conversation with my wife.
Great video! Thanks Tim you guys are rock stars! I said mama when I grow up I want to be like Tim and Scotty. And now I’ll be flying to the Philippines in February for the first time for some future retirement exploration. Thanks guys.
As the REGULAR GUY said about first coming to the Philippines in the 90's, I did the same thing when I went to PERU with my then fiance for several weeks... awesome country, too! She lived in the capitol of Lima, but we did some traveling around her country to Cusco / Cuzco, Machu Picchu and some other places. It was awesome laying on the beach on December 24th and getting a nice tan!
Now I am married to a Filipina, and we are building a house on her family's land on Bohol. We bought a parcel (about 4-5 acres) and are about 1/2 go 2/3'rds of the way done building a decent house.
I love the Philippines, and I very much enjoy your guys' videos and blogging. I will start to do some of that, too, when we go to the Philippines more regularly. 😁
So glad you introduced us to Scotty! I know have another channel I can binge watch!
Scotty is a great story teller
@@sunraymoonbeam2270 when he can prepare and read while video editing.. in realtime its a bit more chaotic as you can see. He is not so much of a "camera and and just talk guy" - he is a narrator.
I wish you could have seen his best vids. They were great but, he was bullied into taking them down. (by former girlfriends , I suspect) Maybe someday he will be in a position to put them back up
Great played Tim! You certainly learned the ways of the Philippines
I feel the same. Less is more for me. At 55 years alive I now realize none of it makes me happy. This is the main reason I want to retire there. Just being there and living a simple life is the main attraction for me. I also dont want a wife there. Just good friends who are humble will be great. I hope to meet you all in 10 years if your still there. Im thinking you both will be there. Best of luck to you both.
I’m glad you made this video to him I really liked it. Maybe I will see you in February JJ from Atlanta Georgia.
The contrast in personalities is halarious! Good job guys!
A tale of caution... back about 10 yrs ago, I became a content writer for Associated Content. Over time, my goal was to supplement my pending retirement income. By writing Evergreen (perpetually pertinent) material, I would collect royalties indefinitely. I worked hard, built up my portfolio, and progressed to being one of their top writers. Then they sold out to Yahoo. Within a few months, Yahoo shut it down, and all my work vanished. As did the royalties, over night. Technology switched over to videos. The moral of the story, placing all your eggs in one basket, will leave you penniless in a unforgiving country at some point. Always have plan B.
The Union guys I used to work with would tell me... "I was looking for a job when I found this one." Nothing will destroy me, I just evolve.
@@TimKyoutube Me too, slowed me down for like 30 seconds at best. Was a bit of a piss-me-off though. I was thinking more of Scotty. He seems more of the one shot wonder type. 🤣
PLAN B And C !!! Have a Back Up Plan >>>> For Ur BACK UP PLAN !!!!!!!! :O))
@@TimKyoutube Correct. Your attitude is admirable, showing your self confidence and the courage to take on what ever comes your way. I worked for 40 years at my last job, so I have to say that i may not have that security of dealing with life that you do Tim. You have done very well.
Amazing Views and wonderful Dude You have found Tim. Best to him.
Wow!! You are really great! I love your Vlogs enjoy it so much ❤
Tim a great show & you're very gracious to host him !
The way Tim K speaks clearly with enunciation skills, makes his vids very appealing
i'm a slow thinker... hopefully it helps everyone
I agree I've got a lot to learn from the great Tim K
Scotty on the other hand, has ADHD, I am quite sure by now. So I dont see Scotty doing it like Tim K and Tim K not like Scotty.
@@i-am-your-conscience wow good assessment. I have no doubt about the adhd thing. Tim is more calm and relaxed
@Regular_Guyph funny because most Canadians are more calm and laid back than most Americans
Scotty boy is one of my favorite story tellers
Much respect for you both 👍🏻
Right back at you, Mr. Rich
Very interesting to hear the story of the Regular Guy. The Philippines is him and I am sure he can find the woman that he will love. By listening, the woman suits him is an island woman who is just simple and contend with happiness in simple ways yet and loving and grows from there with this Regular Guy. He is very Canadian eh.
Props to Scotty for confronting his phobia first thing in the AM. Damn though this video makes me appreciate 1st world infrastructure. The lady working the ferry booth didn't even know when it would show up... lol
I had the same experience when I met a Colombian girl in London, one year later we got married and we went to Colombia in 1980. I had her whole extended family meet us at Cali airport in a whole procession of cars, I felt like a rock star, quite amazing 🤩. Now I’am 70 years old, been divorced for 20 years and loving life in Thailand, with a loving 43 year old Thai, still travelling, in Greece at the moment. It could have been a Filipina but covid put a stop to that 😊
I just subscribed because of Tim K's kindness.
Scotty Boy wants a place he can clean up with a firehose after the storm blows over lol, but who can complain or make fun of the mans dream, after all it is his dream.❤
Great video both you guys are awesome 😎!
That’s a beautiful cafe and hotel Tim you guys having coffee 🙏
It really does look like a great place to spend a couple hours.
We spent several days at JD’s and loved it… best place we stayed at in Leyte. The food they served us was great too. Well, Tim, we didn’t go hunt you down… we know everyone is busy but we did think about driving by and TP-ing your house. Hahaha😂
First time seeing a Tim guy vid. As a Scotty boy fan, it was fun to see the other-side of Scotty, hahh...the 10 am meetup, at 8 am :D, etc. and the ferry workaround (the trojan horse), good improvisation!!
love watching your vlogs while working at home.
I have a very similar experience to the regular guy and the Philippines. I went there to meet my now wife year ago and i fell in love with it and the people. I hope to retire there with my wife when we are older.
Both of you guys are doing nice vlogs and we're enjoying your journeys and watching you improve... 👍🏼
This is much better than typical Hollywood same old productions.
Keep it going 😊
Hmmm… I have been following both these bloggers for a long long time. As they both are somewhat Ying and Yang in their current set up in Phil’s , it was interesting to see their differences. But clearly passing boats in the night heading in different directions. Thank you both for sharing with us your brief interesting interactions.😊👍
Thanks for this video guys
Scotty I hope to see more at the moment I’m in Cebu
I got really badly infected eyes so not seeing anything but my Appartment and the hospital
They should clear up soon and I’ll try to pop out to see something other than the city
Cheers Mike
Also thank to Tim (I’ll start to follow you too )
"Be at the port at 5:30AM for the ferry leaves at 10AM." I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard that in The Philippines.
Ya what's up with that ? I could not hear her answer when Scotty asked "why do I need to be here at 5:30 if the ferry leaves at 10;00" ?
Why not ask the lady to send a text when the boat arrives? Leave a # neither of these dudes could come up with a plan
😂 so it's a setup
Great video
You guys really vibe off one another. I was worried Scotty was coming to surprise you and the fam. Sorry for misreading that.
I'm from So. Leyte but living in So. Cali.
Thanks for showing my hometown Tim.
Would you ever go back to Leyte?
Great "informal" video Tim. Scotty boy is a wonderful and interesting story teller. You should take time and watch some of his vlogs. You and Regular Guy are my best two vloggers in the Philippines.
Tim K just got my complete respect. Class A dude (imho)
I agree
Both of you are great Bloggers I watch both your channels and I do agree with Scotty my fellow Canadian. I also went to the Philippines in 2022 and fell in love not only with the country but also the people. I met this amazing woman that I plan to marry. I look forward to moving to the Philippines and living a simple life for the remainder of my days. Thank you both.
That's the perfect retirement plan
Great for you . I wish you the best .
Great video guys. Tim is great guy to meet in person.
The King and the fastest growing CZcamsr in the Philippines! Awesome Stuff! Damn… riding tandem on a scooter with Scotty Boy.
Tim k's #1 backpack
SB has that deer in the headlights look throughout the vlog 😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅
Dude seems real uptight...
was thinking the same lol
A real wierdo
Why
Hellacious details,,That's the Philippines for you,,Nothing works like it is supposed too..I lived there for 2 years with my lovely wife in Bohol.
This video was really nice and a joy to watch wasn't expecting Scotts heart felt story at the end. Tbh I also have the same aspirations but need proper direction as am not a vlogger and would appreciate some advice. My story so far is I have been ina relationship for 2 years with a Filipino, I haven't yet mate in person (LDR) I come from Ireland and like Scotts story I mate the girl online and we clicked instantly. I just need to get reassured and get some sound solid advice of the visiting there and weather it's advisable to take that leap of faith to visit her for the first time as I am not used to tropical climates I am in fear of this due to personal circumstances with hot countries. As here in Ireland we four season not two like in the PH. Moving along I have tried to suggest to my girlfriend that we could meet half way that way its cutting down the cost of flight for me. But I am happy to pay her flight. I respect her not requesting money as she is highly independent and she doesn't want me paying or giving her money I feel our relationship is going to take a bad turn if we cannot come to an agreement as previously mentioned as I amnot keen on traveling that distance on my own at least not for the first time. I explained to her that if we both meet in the another country it would be the benefit both of us as its important to let go and get out of one's comfort zone.
Well if you don't like hot countries, why would you start an on-line romance with a girl from the Philippines? There's obviously more to the story. 2 years without meeting?
Hey Tim!
Great vlog! A couple of things I love the interaction between you and the regular guy. It was cool to watch his vlog tracking you down (in the gym!). The other thing is that it shows you guys having fun together and not creating nasty vlogs towards each other.
Have fun, buddy with Mr. Regular guy!
Best Regards!
Brian M.
That is a great story of Scotty for loving the Philippines
When you're walking I can hear the squeaking all the way over here
lol... it really came out in the editing... not so much at the time
Nice story congrats to my fellow Canadian, hope to tell my Philipines story to you Tim Also sometime
Great video Tim, you’re a good guy trying to help out a regular guy…
If you sneak off with th scooter.. I wonder how he gets back 😂
Happy for u, regular guy.... happy trip...
Fantastic vido the ferry trip
Lmao Tim, I spat my tea when you said he cares about you lol
Love to try in vcte there in Leyte soon and see the place
Good video Tim n Scotty 👍
Great video, thx for sharing Tim - down to earth just sharing is the best. You go Scotty - your can do anything, your dreams will come true - you are already partially there. I agree - it's exciting visiting places but living from place to place in quick stay overs and doing what you are will get to you sooner than later and seems to already be catching up.
Awesome link up. Love that guys channel also.
Scotty looked like he was on a roller coaster going down the first drop on the back of your scooter haha.
Oh i miss Padre Burgos already my dads home province. Thank you Sir Tim and Sir Scotty for loving our country Philippines. Soon i ll be back there and visit our land in Tangkaan.
That’s a great place to have land
@@TimKyoutube Yes Sir Tim. A beautiful place to have. If you know Sir Mike? He is our friend. He rent one of our property but sady he passed away.
Best collab ever!!!!
Second that Jordan it was good
This lady in the blue box, whatever, is making up everything as she goes along, 😂😂😂
I went to Padre Burgos in 2016 to scuba dive…stayed at southern Leyte dive resort…I was the only foreigner there…and I remember saying how if foreigners found out about it it would blow up…once Tim got there it’s definitely growing now with the exposure…kinda sad to see that small town vibe go away but I’m happy for the locals they need the tourism $$…but it’s still small and “untouched” as is…
It's still hard as hell to get to. 4 hour van ride from Tacloban. Erratic ferry schedules to Hilongos from Cebu with inconvenient overnight sailings most of the week and you still have to cover the last hour or so on land. Maasin only gets one boat a week at the moment, more frequent services have failed.
Hey Tim, good looking out for our bro Scotty. Caught some of your vids in the past. Subscribed today. Hope to see you both down the road! Peace
At 1:54... IT'S PAULY SHORE EVERYBODY!!! (looks just like him)😊😂Scotty is very Handsome ❤❤ Omg.. When Scotty was sharing his story about his love for the Philippines... He was saying everything that I am feeling about the Philippines and how it's a huge desire to live there one day!! Oh my goodness EVERYTHING he said is exactly how I am feeling!!!
Uncanny... Pauly Shore, plus his goofiness! 😂
Handsome??
Two of my favorite CZcamsrs. Glad to see you guys getting along well.
Thank you Tim for sharing another awesome video
Cool video Scotty boy with a house and some little Scotty's running around he's a great storyteller good job
That's usually the thing there in Burgos It's only for vehicles and the driver itself because it's a cargo vessel
Well done guys. Very enjoyable and fantastic video ! ✔✔✔✔
Great to see you both team up!!! Awesome..
Jeez, what a pain it was for you to fly back over there from the US. I'm hearing that maybe there might be some way to ride a ship from the u.s. Wondering if anybody might have any clues on that? And I'd like to send a crate over there with my tools. And eBike. Not balakbayan boxes.
And wow, what a hassle getting on that ferry...
You caught my attention..Interesting vlogg,,even though I keep comming back to the Philippines since my first rip with my rugby teamearly 1990s. One question..What happened to Scotty's original influencer who prompted his move to the Philippines in the first place?
So wish he had thanked you for your help on the ferry ; he didn’t even say bye or meet for breakfast last day . 😂
I too am a bit like ole Scotty Boy, telling stories or events lol My parents, (mom mostly) when I'd go to the movies, she'd say "And don't come home telling us about the movie ! We might wanna go see it !" They never went to the movies haha, but I could tell them the movie, so they'd have mental images, like they were watching it, with lots of details, start to end lol......Now, I do "TRY" to keep stories to a minimum lol
Just keep doing YOUR thing Scotty, And Tim
Scott..you might be like becoming Filipino who loves the phil
I love regular guy he’s a cool ass dude 🙌🏻
Great interview Tim with Scotty Tim I follow you both and Chrissy and Chrissy sister ,I am coming to dumaguete in august for the first time from Toronto Canada
8 o clock in the morning, are you kidding me :)
This is like your best blog, keep it up Tim, and Scott
When he described the house he wants , it sounded like a typical jail cell. Lol. 😅
regular guy is so animated
Nice collaboration! You two are my favorite Philippines vloggers.
Thank you for the very thoughtful words Patrick
Great video Tim Scotty seem to be a funny guy. I also joined his channel 2 thumbs up my friend!!!!
lovely bromance
Very cool
Good video guys
