    Nahko:
Born to a Puerto Rican/Native American mother and a Filipino father, Nahko was adopted and raised in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. Beginning his musical journey at 6 years old, Nahko began traveling widely in his teens, wrestling with identity, purpose, and perception.
Busking on streets, selling CDs out of his guitar case, he earned a cult following. Backed by his band, Medicine For The People, Nahko’s 2013 commercial breakout album Dark As Night landed in the Billboard Heatseekers Chart top 10. Medicine For The People played major festivals including Outside Lands, Electric Forest, Wanderlust, and Bumbershoot, and sold-out Colorado’s 10,000-capacity Red Rocks Amphitheater as headliners.

For every nhako hater out there theres also, most likely, another soul whose life has been saved upon stumbling upon your work. I know its definitely saved mine in so many ways. And to know that its reached at least one person in this way is proof that it isn't for nothing. Its been many countless hours of my life dedicated to scream cry-singing some of these songs on blast during the start of my healing journey and purging out all of this generational trauma from my body. Your music helped heal my throat chakra and getting my voice back. Thank you for helping me feel connected to this earth and this culture on such unspeakable levels. I have native in my blood yet my family has been destroyed by addiction, trauma, abuse and generational curses therefore ive always been entirely estranged and its always made me feel so isolated. This helped me feel connection to family on deep energetic levels. Thank you for interpreting and channeling these powerful sacred downloads of ancient and native themed pockets of wisdom and heart centered information, this powerful form of magick, and having the courage to share it with the world and continuing to do so despite all the push back. I have all of this art id like to share to but i would be terrified of ever becoming famous and having the bug under the microscope experience LOL I couldn't even begin to imagine such an intrusive experience on unspeakable levels and although I know its caused you more mortification, trauma and heartache then most people have the capacity to comprehend due to the overwhelming lack of empathy on this planet because of this artificial world that mass produces narcassism through this encouraged dog eat dog mentality which has disconnected most people from their heart space, and therefore their humanity, it also makes me think and feel like, what better example for us to learn from then you? when it comes to having compassion and understanding for the human condition, expecially when it comes to this ridiculous unhealthy idol worship culture we have twords entertainers and cancel culture as a result of that and putting them up so high on a pedestal labeling them with these God like complexes that society assigned them to, and therefore treating them as this untouchable unreachable product that is shamed, disposed and discarded any time their defect is revealed, even though that defect is something that exists in all of us since we are all human, everyone has a dark side, everyone is young and limited on perspective at one point, and in one way or another and in this way we are all the same. Noone is really truly better then anyone else just at diffrent stages and levels of their evolutionary unfolding as the unique expression of the same whole that they/we are since seperation is just an illusion. For those of us with hearts that can see, we hear you. And those of us who do not, that is why you're the perfect person to speak on cancel culture. No, you're not superior to anyone as you have publicly stated nor would I ever want to put that unrealistic expectation on anyone's shoulders HOWEVER, you are still a healer. Flaws and all. And noone and nothing could ever take that away from you. The proof is in the magick of your work, the energetic medicine that has been manifested through this divine instrument that has been manifested as nhako, the original technology. The most miraculous and magical piece of organic machinery which is you, which is all of us. Because we are not seperate. You are powerful beyond measure and you can always re write the script and view this great unveiling as an honor to be pushed in the position to continue to teach, despite and even expecially, BECAUSE OF your flaws. This beautiful masterpiece yet forever working progress all at the same time we all get the honor to witness. This real genuine raw artist who isn't owned by these weird ass demonic companies who has experience from both ends of the spectrum, from both worlds to do so. I hope you continue this divine work and im always happy to offer encouraging medicine words for you just as you have for me ❤

Nahko is real and his message is powerful and speaks to so many of us. Medicine for the people may threaten the powers that be who seek to enslave us all. Thus the social media attack, or so I suspect. "We know what we are for and how we became so informed, I am a miracle made up of particles, in this existence I'll be persistent, I'll make a difference and I will have lived it" may not be the empowering message the satanic cult that rules this world wants us to hear. This man has an important role to play in these strange times. Indeed his music is medicine for the people.

I met and played music with Nahko and Dustin Thomas in a small park on the southern end of the Big Island about 10 years ago. They were blowing me away on acoustic guitars and I shyly grabbed my tenor ukulele and they graciously let me join in. I was enthralled with Nahko's voice and his interplay with Dustin. They said they were headed up to Kona to play at a Kava bar so my buddy and I went up there too. They played an amazing small show to a small but appreciative crowd. I'm pretty sure this was before the Medicine For the People days, but maybe not. Ever since, I have really enjoyed his powerful music and will continue to be a supporter. Sure, I read all the me-too stuff with a skeptical scowl and felt it ironic that all the peace and love folks who at one point loved him, tried to tear him down and damn near did. Watching this, I find further irony in the fact that he was a child that was born and not aborted, yet most of those peace and love followers also are the biggest supporters of abortion. In conclusion, I was and always will be a fan of this deep and wise man.

Right! Kind of funny how the "me too" allegations came out decades later and coincided with the release of their most popular album, just as the tribe was gaining steam and breaking through to an almost mainstream level. Almost like it was just a bunch of lying, loathing, egoic, narcissistic, sociopathic, and potentially psychotic haters who didn't like that Nahko was gaining popularity.

There was a certain period of my life (14-17) I became a "christian". I always hear the undertone of Christian music in Nahko's sounds....I think it's amazing it truly shows that all his story shines through authentically in his medicine. All of what has made him is evident in his tones

I also was from a rape, adopted into a very fundamentalist home (mormon), my birth father shot himself in the head before i met him. I discovered nahko around 2015 when i left mormonism and my marriage. So many of his songs have been my grounding and resetting since then. So excited i finally get to see him in person in two weeks❤❤❤❤.
This conversation was amazing. So much great stuff in there. Thank you❤❤❤❤

This interview seemed heavy. It would be hard putting yourself out there but you are use to talking about you but dragging through past emotions over and over again and not knowing what the questions are and having to answer on the spot on intimate subjects not easy! Thanks again each time you talk about your life and how it impacted you or those around you I see how someone who has gone through the same life experience feels understood or understands they are not the only one who feels that way and I know how much of a gift that is for so many. I love your depth

Thank you for this! I am a new sub and excited for your shadow work documentary. I have been in the deep, dark depths of my dark night since 2017. Getting off 25 years of being polydrugged on psychiatric meds sent me into forced shadow work…which I so desperately needed on my healing journey. Thanks for having Nahko on, discussing his journey and sharing his wisdom and music medicine.

Wow. So weird to say that I hope this to be true. It would explain a lot of his music and give me hope back into that after everything that has transpired. But at the same time, no one should have to carry all that pain. There seems to be more of an authenticity than ever before. Hopefully it isn't just a PA stunt.

I wish I hadn't listened to this interview. I love Nahko's music. But he buys into the lie that there is a "patriarchy". I thought he was more awakened than to be brainwashed into divisive and false beliefs like that.
And--absolutely--boys aren't readily becoming protective, providing heads of households because of the increased push for men to be feminine, whether that's due to hormone disruptors (it is), or due to the media (it is), or due to the destructive push from 3rd wave feminism (it is). There is nothing destroying women, men, and society more than modern day feminism.

@@davidmurray8396 It appears you read my comment as some type of judgement. The story I told is that ignorance can be bliss and that I wish I was blissfully unaware of this interview. Nahko is more aware than many, yet still trapped in a strange eugenics loop.
