  • Inside the Penthouse at Intercontinental Chicago Magnificent Mile|Direct elevator access|Family Vlog
Hey guys and welcome to our channel! This is our first family vlog of our stay in the Intercontinental in Downtown Chicago, located on the Magnificent Mile.
We had the 40th floor to ourselves in the top tower of the building. The suite had 360 degree views of the city where you can see Lake Michigan, the Hancock building, Willis Tower, Trump tower, and the Chicago River (to name a few). We hope you enjoy checking out our mini vacation and let us know what you think! 🖤

Thanks for you reply, Amelia (my Grandmother's name). I'm from the old school and I still love the older architecture of Chicago and the I.C.M.M.Hotel was always a favorite of mine....right behind the Tribune Tower. I was so surprised to discover that so many of these older bldgs. are being converted into condos. I am not at all impressed with the glass and steel super skyscrapers that are going up everywhere. It's so refreshing to see a beautiful limestone structure built, every now and again!

I love that I have the same name as your grandmother! And the tribune tower was such a cool view from our last apartment. The old architecture is beautiful and makes Chicago so pretty! The pictures of the condos being built look lovely.

This used to be the old Sherman Tower Hotel back in the day!

Just stayed at this hotel. Place is nice. A bit over priced but you are in downtown Chicago.

I was wrong about the former name of this building....it was once the Sheriton Towers Hotel, not Sherman Tower. Hey what can I say, I'm 80 yrs. old and some of my memories of Chicago get "fuzzy" at times!

How much was the stay per night? I’ve been considering getting this unit.

Does this floor look like an apartment?

It doesn’t have a kitchen or anything so I’d say it is more like 2 hotel rooms with 2 bathrooms and a living room area. ☺️

@@ameliakennedy2383 ive noticed most upscale hotels don’t have a microwave or anything that can cause a fire. Coffee maker is all we are trusted with🤷‍♂️😂
